The trainers are head and shoulders above anything I've ever experienced. I've loved gyms before- and at my age, I've been around the proverbial block as well. These folks KNOW THEIR STUFF. They pivot and easily adapt the main workouts for you and your particular level and abilities. They actually CARE if you attend, and follow up with you when they notice you've missed a few sessions. They also won't try to sell you something, like a program or product, if they don't think it "fits" you. (Of course there's lots of smaller things that they can upsell like protein shakes and contests. But that's pretty normal and they don't do a hard sale.) They really, really want you to meet your goals and they really, really want to help you get there. But what keeps me coming back is that they know their stuff. Tiny details on your form? Check. Injury work-around? Check. Suggestions for weights to use? Check. Alternative exercises? Check. I'm just very pleasantly surprised, and love going to the gym again!

This location has very spread out layout and a great outdoor area that is shaded for most of the day. I've been doing training sessions with Ryan Hamilton and he's been exemplary. Ryan always has fresh workouts for every session, never a repeated or dull routine. Along with fun conversation, Ryan is always sharing his knowledge on everything fitness and health in general. I would highly recommend locking in training sessions with Ryan.

A heads-up for anyone considering the new EOS Fitness on Cactus Rd in Surprise…read more This location took about five months to open after the "coming soon" signs went up. I waited patiently rather than joining elsewhere. It finally opened May 15 -- and the way it's being run since has been disappointing. My biggest concern is sanitation. I use the cold plunge and sauna twice a day. The cold plunge water level has been low, and the hot tub has what looks like black mold built up along the sides. I told a staff member walking the area. The next day I took photos and showed them at the front desk -- I was told the hot tub was "waiting on a part" and that a supervisor would be called to inspect and clean it. Two days later, nothing has been cleaned or fixed. On top of that, they sold a $10/month towel service and then ran out of towels, telling members it would be restocked "next week." I've tried to be patient and raise these things politely in person. Posting the photos here so the community is aware and so the company actually sees what's happening at this location. I'd genuinely like to see it fixed -- mold in a wet area used by members every day is not something that should sit for days. @EOS Fitness -- please address the hot tub and cold plunge at the Surprise / Cactus Rd location.

First visit Greg asked me about my fitness goals and I said "I want to save my knees and my hips" Too many people 10 or more years older than me have had them replaced. My work takes me on roofs and gives my knees all sorts of abuse. Greg designed a workout unlike any I've had before, and within the first two weeks my knees hurt less. Now they feel better than they have in years. I know the stronger muscles around the knees are making a difference. On top of all that the REAL nutrition counseling, no shame, great atmosphere, etc make Fitness Institute a perfect fit for me and people like me.

Our family of five pays about…read more$110 per month, and that membership gives us access to all Mountainside Fitness locations, which is a huge plus. The gym has a great variety of equipment, including plenty of free weights, strength machines, treadmills, ellipticals, bikes, stair climbers, and even a small outdoor workout area. There's also a half-court basketball gym that can be reserved for pickleball. The amenities are excellent. They have three massage chairs, an infrared sauna, steam showers, clean locker rooms with lockers, and a cold plunge available for an additional fee. There's also a kids' center (I don't have young children, so I can't speak to that experience), an M Café for drinks and snacks, and comfortable waiting areas. Overall, the facility is clean, well-maintained, and has everything our family needs for our fitness goals. For the price, I think it's a great value, especially with access to every location.

I went to EOS for 1 week and their personal coach instead of acknowledge the fact that all I wanted to do was to leave the house after several months of isolation and excessive eating disorder her goal was to make me feel terrible her name (Britney in Goodyear) instead not satisfied told me that I have failed in the past and would fail again if I didn't sign for their personal coaching program. I had to verbally state that she was giving me anxiety when she continue to bully me asking if money was a problem. 2 months later I gave a change again this time when to mountainside fitness in Avondale and Alyssa their personal training welcomed me in measure my weight taught me new moves and told me I'll be here and will keep an eye on your and hold you accountable despite of you not signing in for trainer. Why I am sharing this? To thank mountainside for their greatness. Not every person is seeking for six pack. Some are there to battle depression, compulsive behaviors and others so thank you for being so amazing. I love your gym no matter what side of town I go
