Great food. Service can be slow. Healthy options and friendly service. We come here frequently and never have a bad meal. The bakery is a bonus- you can leave woth a fresh loaf of bread. read more

I am so mad I'm going to rate a place high in a geographic location that favors quantity over quality but I'm bad at lying. I love this place but don't want anyone else to know it. Sitting around kitchen tables in New England can raise the taste bud "foodie" expectations. This place is a gem. It's had a wait the times we've gone but they've been reasonable. It can get loud when full. Darn, I'm looking for reasons that you don't want to go. *Sigh* I'll see you there. read more

Always happy when we go there...good food and service. Buy some baked goods to take home!

came here for breakfast before a long hike and definitely happy that I was able to try this place. Friendly staff, fast and attentive service, coffee is decent, and food is delicious. I got the portabella mushroom omelet with rye bread and the significant other got the eggs florentine. he found the peasant bread hard to cut but other than that, all was good :). If and when I am back in Kent, this is my go to breakfast spot! read more

I had a delicious Italian sub sandwich and chicken noodle soup. The portion was huge with plenty of leftovers for a second meal. The staff are happy there which makes for a nice dining experience for customers. Dining in a booth at Wild Wheat overlooking the park felt like being in a cafe in France. read more

First time in, ordered the Dungeness crab/asparagus omelette with red potatoes to go. At $21 an omelette, it had big shoes to fill for the price. The omelette was delicious!! Lots of Dungeness crab, fluffy and the cheesy sauce was unforgettable. I am not fond of big chunks of potatoes and would probably skip next time. The case of hand made baked gems was too tempting to pass up and added a croissant . Order was ready and service awesome. Would give 4.5 stars will definitely be back. read more

Iv been going here occasionally over the years it was my favorite place for breakfast in the area...never again! I walk in and the place was a mess not even a busy day (Thursday). Finally seated me I got there at 11:10am rushed to make it there before 11:30 so I can have breakfast...I'm by myself and no one comes to even give me a menu or fill a water! It was so ridiculous then on top of that I hear the staff speaking rudely how someone ordered breakfast at 11:15am. I waited patiently and now it's 11:30 no one has even come up to take my order so I excused myself because I knew no one was going to attend to me for another half hour and I wasn't going to be able to order breakfast anyways. I am so turned off by their service I will never recommend this place again!!! read more

Good food, service is a little slow. I ordered Benedicts and their hollandaise sauce was very delicious.

Great breakfast with fresh pastries and bread made on site. I recommend it if you like to eat fresh.

Pretty disappointed. I paid $12 for french toast and I got 4 small pieces of bread. Bummer.

Incrediblely terrible service. Apparently they've changed owners as the food was mediocre. I'll never walk through their door again.

The quiche was amazingly creamy and fluffy with great pastry crust. A true highlight plus a beautiful display case of baked goods. Service was good and happy. The room is quite noisy making conversation a competition. The pancakes were lackluster and over sugared and cinnamoned. And in general things like the hot chocolate wasn't very hot. On the whole a good experience and we would return. read more

Wild Wheat - Wow... Hopping on Saturday morning, and a beautiful display of baked goods. - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Kent, Washington

Place has good breakfast food but it gets so packed. The waiters are a bit disorganized, and looks understaffed. I got seated at a super small table that didn't have enough room for 3 dishes to be placed on the table. Waiter almost dropped his dishes cuz of the tight spot we were in. And our tea was forgotten to be brought out. read more

Great local cuisine in old town Kent. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, and scrumptious meals! I highly recommend this place, especially, if you're looking for a warm and comfy vibe! read more

I've been coming here more than a few times and almost twice a week lately because I love the ambiance and fresh bagels. I came last week and service was OK but today (03/16/18 1000am), I got a little turned off by the service. The hostess was awesome but the server was not accomodating at all. It wasn't busy and he took awhile to come to my table, when he finally came up he didn't even greet/smile, just asked me if I want anything to drink other than water. I ordered hot chocolate and asked if they have nondairy options and without looking up from his paper, he said "almond or soy". Then I proceeded to order my bagels. He came back and set the plate on my table without a word or a smile and I still thanked him. I just thought that was rude and a good enough reason not to come back. I'll just find another coffee place nearby to hang out in around this time. read more

The food is good but it is a crazy expensive. They gave us a tiny, half filled syrup cup to go with the French toast and said they would charge for any more. Just too expensive to go again. read more

So let me rate this place . HORRIBLE !!!!!Very bad the service take forever to get your drinks and food 40 mins ... This place has just gotten worst did not used to be like this . Do not come here go read more

I always want to love this place and I'm always disappointed. Waited a long time for a server and then waited even longer for coffee and a latte, which was made incorrectly. My friend got the wrong omelet but the server didn't come back for about 15 minutes so by that time she just decided to eat it. When she did finally return, my friend just asked for some sliced tomatoes to put on her wrong omelet and after another 15 minutes, instead of the tomatoes they made her another whole omelet after she was already done with the first one. And still charged us for everything. Get it together, Wild Wheat. read more

I've heard great things about this place so opted I give it a try. We were sat down in a corner with big tables surrounding us.. I asked our server if we could move to a window table so it doesn't feel like I'm trapped in a cubicle. Well he definitely had some attitude to go along with it. Immediately was not feeling it. Looked at the menu to find everything was so overpriced for what your getting.. they don't have hash browns! We got our water only to find there was a black speck floating right above it and looked like it wasn't cleaned at all. We walked out right after.. I'm sure this place may be good but I didn't feel welcomed here whatsoever. Not sure if the sever was having a bad day and was targeting us but I won't be back.. instead I went to Maggie's and it was a wonderful experience. read more

Overall this place has good food but I don't like the way they are taking advantage of their customers by selling some bakery items at astronomical prices. For example they have been selling bread for $6 while exactly the same type of bread costs $4.99 at another store such as Whole Foods or Central Market (pictures attached). It makes no sense that a 3rd party would offer a cheaper price on bread made by Wild Wheat. read more

I've been to Wild Wheat twice for lunch and enjoyed it both times. Because they are a bakery, the bread was fantastic. Service was friendly and personal. Their corned beef is superb, some of the best I have had for a long time. Salad was fresh and tasty. This is a place you can hang out and enjoy, they do not rush you and the menu has a range of good choices. read more

Well worth the drive! We were on a 3 week trip through the NW so a lot of breakfasts along the way. The herb omelet was yummy and the waffle with fresh blueberries and whipped cream was devine. Best breakfast on the trip and the berry pie was perfect to share with our hosts. read more

We had the most amazing breakfast here today with my family! The restaurant was filled with hungry guests. We were told the wait time will be about 20min, but we were called to our seat in less then 10min. Our lattes were delicious with fancy designs. We had the eggs florentine, which was just perfect, and kids ate the marionberry and strawberry cheese blintz, so delicious! They also have delicious fresh baked breads daily! read more

Two words, Tandoori Chicken! Basically, a sandwich made with Indian spiced-grilled marinated chicken. Served on a baguette with a mango Chutney and mint mayonnaise. Been coming back just for the Tandoori Chicken. Haven't tried anything else since, by the time I wake up, the breakfast items are no longer served around 12pm. read more

Great services, prices, plenty of food for the price AND has the best mimosas in town!!

I've owned a business on the same block as Wild Wheat for nearly twenty years, and I've seen lots of businesses come and go here in Titusville (old town of Kent) but Wild Wheat has remained a staple on the block. Wild Wheat is great for breakfast and lunch. That says a lot with many other options two blocks north at Kent Station, which is great for lunch and dinner, but not much for breakfast. Wild Wheat's new owner is charming and friendly. The restaurant thrives during breakfast on the weekends, but the wait is well worth it. Take home a variety of freshly baked breads and pastries. read more

Absolutely amazing place for breakfast, lunch or brunch! We arrived at 11am on Saturday, and although the place was packed, we were seated within 10 minutes. The decor is contemporary understated, but the view of the park on one side is quite nice. The restaurant sits on the corner across from major railroad tracks. In the hour we were there, two express metro trains and one fast freight barreled past. We didn't hear the metros over the conversations around us, and the freight was a not-too-distracting deep rumble. The fresh herb and Swiss cheese 3-egg omelette was incredibly delicious, the cheese so fresh, too, that it stretched like melted mozzarella. I skipped the home fries and toast, and chose a small fresh fruit bowl that was brimming with blackberries, blueberries, and the usual melons. Portion sizes are generous, so either come very hungry or expect to take leftovers home. My husband had the stollen French toast--also a generous portion, and loved it. (It made sad to have celiac--no wheat for me!). It wouldn't be worthy of the Seattle area without excellent espresso. I use a vanilla latte as a litmus test everywhere I go. Wild Wheat's espresso is neither bitter nor ashy, and balances very well with milk. And it was flavored just right--not too sweet. Prices are above average. Our tab was ~$40, including a side of ham and two cafe beverages. We were so happy overall -- no downsides here! -- that I can't wait to go back! read more

Sad to report that the quality and taste of the food has gone downhill. The blintzes were mushy with a brown and flavorless strawberry topping - totally disappointed since it is strawberry season! Used to be a favorite place to meet friends - read more

Get there for breakfast. This place is always busy but closes early and has strict rules about when breakfast ends. We've been several times and breakfast is always on point. I have found my favorite breakfast cafe in Washington State. From the toast to the smoked salmon omelette...it was the best! Also I've traveled quite a bit and I've never tasted a bearclaw pastry as good as the one at Wild Wheat. I just wish they'd make more per day. You have to go early to catch it. Came hungry and left happy. I'm picky about places because I'm usually on in the city for a day. This place hit the spot and I ordered the Florentine. The Hollandaise sauce was very good and slightly sweet. The food was very well seasoned and I enjoyed every bite, with the crisp bread bringing it all together. Loved the spinach and potatoes. Only complaint I had was I like my red skinned potatoes more crispy. Had a pancake on the side and it was also amazing. Finally, the CHAI! Best I ever had and my last favorite was in NYC. Something about the toasted cinnamon on top and marshmallow sweet froth. Will come back for sure if I can :) read more

I've been coming here for a few years and noticed I have yet to review this place. First off, parking isn't too bad. This establishment uses street parking so during the weekend parking can be a hassle but if you are looking for a solid breakfast this place is worth it. The restaurant its self is nice and open, they have a lot of windows which allows a good amount of natural light. Their menu is what you expect from a breakfast joint, but what makes them different is that all their pastries are made fresh daily. A few of my favorites is the spinach feta quiche and the eggs benedict, both this taste great and are a generous portion size. I wouldn't say they have the best eggs benedict and quiche but for Kent area its very good. They also have a homemade berry jam, be sure to spread this on your toast, its delicious. Cons: The service isn't the greatest, often times they are slow and always forget to fill your water. read more

idk how many times i parked in front of this place and never noticed it, i come down to this area quite a bit, theres a Korean spot just a few doors down that i enjoy going to, but anyway let's talk about this place, well i walked in around 1pm on a Sunday afternoon and it wasn't too busy so we got seated right away, we got a table by the window and the host brought over a couple glasses of water immediately, a few min later we got our menus, the prices are pretty fair comparing to other breakfast/brunch places, the service was really good i gotta say, they came by a couple times to ask us about our plates, offer more coffee, but let's get to the food here, i order the meat omelet and my GF order the Dungeness crab and asparagus omelet, her omelet was filled with crab and she was surprised how much was in there, she offer me some and it was very delicious, my omelet was exactly how i envisioned it, a lot of meat and cheese, just how i like it tasty and fulfilling, i would definitely recommend this place! read more

Delicious breakfast! Went for the first time two weeks ago with my husband and two friends. They're super busy on the weekends, just a heads up. The service was great too and food came out pretty fast considering how busy they were. I had the eggs benedict and my husband had the salmon omelet and both were amazing. Pretty big portions. A little on the pricey side but it's worth it. It's so good! They make everything in house too which is awesome. Even their white chocolate for mochas is homemade.
