SO - I confess that bars are really not my thing, in general. However, I do really enjoy live music. I went here on a Thursday night recently to enjoy a popular local country band. I have no complaints. At the door they were clearly checking ID's. The bouncer was visible but not angry looking. There was a wide age range of patrons and I enjoyed people watching. People seemed to be anywhere from young to old and plenty in the middle. I think you could enjoy this place at any adult age. (really especially the people watching - some of these folks can really dance. ) The place was clean. It did not smell like an ash tray or a urinal. There is an outdoor area with tables and chairs. It's two story inside with balconies around the dance floor so you can be in the lime light or if you just want to be alone with your date or a group it's easy to do so. There are tables and chairs both up and down. The stage was easily viewed from all over inside. The music and patron attire is mostly country - which is what one would expect from this theme of establishment. They could have skipped the other genres entirely as far as I'm concerned. Want another genre? There's a joint for that too..... The atmosphere was laid back and casual. Seemed like a nice enough crowd. Lots of dancing. People seemed to be having a good time. There did appear to be only one waitress for the entire club - but since I was there for the music it seemed enough to me. We had a good time. We enjoyed the band. Again, no complaints. It's great to be able to take in live music in a clean, non-trashy environment! I will go again without concern should the opportunity present itself. Went to Kevin Fowler show on the 30th. Warmup band was blah. Crowd was mixed and ages varied, but most were Texas friendly. Parking was abundant close to the door. Check-in with tickets could have gone quicker and smoother, but not too bad for a chilly night. Drink lines were manageable and barkeeps were fast enough. Kevin was Kevin...great show. read more

"Thursdays have great drink prices and live music" Wild West is way out in Cedar Park area....I remember this side of town well before any of these establishments were here. I thought this was a great alternative to a Midnight Rodeo type of place that's a little closer and way less obnoxious. Saturday night was a great night for girls night...unfortunately no drink specials. There was plenty going on from country music to hip hop and group songs. I will definitely have to come on a Thursday night since my friends told me they have $3 margaritas and rum and coke. Along with no cover for ladies. I'll definitely be back for that! No worries if you can't dance, apparently if you come on Friday they have happy hour and free dance lessons. Wild West is more fun and laid back than some other country dance clubs. Boasting a couple of bars, pool tables, and an upstairs area with tables and a great view to people watch. Kryptonite pitchers with a glow stick are $7.50 and so are long island ice tea pitchers. I went out Saturday night for my best friend's birthday. I used to frequent Graham Central Station, so we went to check out Wild West. Pros: It's a clean place, has plenty of seating upstairs and downstairs. There is no smoking, but they do have an outside patio for you to go smoke. (The room not filled with smoke was really nice). I arrived at 10pm and there wasn't an issue with finding a parking spot either. Cons: Saturday night, you would think there would be a good mix of people. Unfortunately, not so much. I'm in my late 30s and they were either too young or too old. Maybe Friday nights are better or maybe people were out of town? I was annoyed when one bar ran out of my beer of choice, Dos Equis. How can you run out of beer? I listen to country music on a daily basis. They played songs I have never heard of. Maybe I'm not in the loop, but a lot of them I was like, huh? what is this? If they play the song Footloose and you are familiar with the 80s movie version and not the 2011 version, stay in your seat. There is a line dance to this song. You will get trampled. All in all, it was alright. I'm sure being in Wilco is an issue, too. ;) read more

I spent 200 dollars and didn't even get more than buzzing I think they water down their liquor and use too little idk but if I spend 200 on drinks I expect to be pretty tore up! read more

Beware going to Wild West on nights where there is live music. Paid $15 to get in the door, stood in the drink line for 25 minutes, and then gave up. I never made it to the bartender. I went and asked for a refund, as I wasn't able to order a drink or get a glass of water. I was told no refunds as the money made at the door went to the band. There clearly wasn't enough staff to accommodate the number of tickets sold at the door. I have never seen such horrible customer service at a bar/club in my life. read more

It's alright, I gave it three stars because I really don't care for country, and they have a cover charge. They do have other music but country it's a 90%. If you like country please do, it's not a bad place. I should learn to like country... oh well MC said so. read more

Clearly oversold the tickets for the Aaron Watson concert on Saturday night. No parking anywhere near the event. There wasn't even parking in the lots for the next two shopping centers. If you can't park the car, you can't go to the show. And Wild West has the money we spent on tickets and we didn't get to go to the concert. read more

Wife loved it; good music, dancing, pool tables, and....drinks!! And the live music was so much fun. BTW, if you can't country dance that great don't worry one bit: people out there were dancing every dance style ever to every song regardless of the best. This is the second time I've been here. Both times for Kevin Fowler and Parker McCollum your sound system sucked and is not representative of how these artists actually sound. Parker McCollums show was packed and very understaffed for the bars as was evident by the incredibly slow moving lines. Maybe you should get two beer tubs and sell beer to those just buying beer. When you have a popular act like Parker McCollum on a Saturday Night you should plan on being busy and staff accordingly. Not ever coming back. read more

I was denied entrance because I was wearing a black sleeveless shirt but yet I see girls/women running around with strapless shirts, tanks and butts hanging out of their shorts. Big guy standing off to the side at the door says that this is the dress code for guys. I told him his dress code was sexist and descriminatory. He said he was the "General Manager" and his club was private. He can make any rules he wants vs. dress code. I dont usually go to a club with a sleeveless shirt but wanted a few beers and listen to some music. I think they just want a bunch of teenage girls showing skin. I will never go back. The place is alright since there really isn't another dance hall like it in Cedar Park. The beer was decently priced, however, the service isn't all that great. The bartenders need more training and learn how to work a line better. It takes forever to order a beer and once you do, you continue to wait because they're making drinks for cocktail servers at the same time and seem to take care of them first instead of the customer who has been waiting in front of them for over 10 minutes. The dance floor is small, but decently sized I guess. There isn't too much room around the dance floor on a weekend night. It's 18 and up, so that's negative. Also, there was a $6 cover at the door. I'm used to there not being a cover for women 21 and up (at other bars/dance halls). Call me spoiled and selective I guess. I may be back if I'm looking to stay within the Cedar Park radius and wanting to dance, but it won't be for a while. The plus, good music and a good crowd. read more

I've been going to Wild West since it opened and I've watched management turn and bartenders turn and usually all really pleasant and helpful. I have actually stopped going completely now though because of one manager who is just rude, arrogant and overall unpleasant to deal with. My last encounter was to ask a simple question about a concert and I was made to feel stupid and blown off. I'm not sure what type of management that is but being apart of the customer service world myself, there are no stupid questions, especially when I spend plenty of money while I'm there. I used to enjoy going to this place two or three times a week and after my last few visits I sadly will not be returning due to Jason and his lack of simple customer service inabilities. read more

Went out with some girls here for mom's night out. Had a great time! The music was a mix, although I wished they played more fast music then slow music. Extremely disappointed in this place: It was supposed to be teen night and two of my kids were to attend.. We called before leaving the house to make sure they didn't need IDs and were told no it's ok... Well things changed once we got there apparently they wanted high school IDs .I talked to two different men bc my kids are not in a regular high school but rather an alternative high school ( they don't do IDs), then I let the man know that my daughter is enrolled at the alternative high school and I withdrew my son before Christmas to transfer to alternative but won't start till school goes back in Jan 8.. well apparently it's not " teen night" but rather" high school" night...they said they have to be enrolled in a regular high school. That's bullshit!!! Kids want to have fun during Christmas break and time be told their school isn't a real high school is bullshit...the whole place seems like a joke... My kids were to meet up with other friends and we drove all the way from Elgin ( not close) and I had to get a sitter just to watch little ones to be able to drive them bc it's a cold night... extremely disappointed...will not recommend this place at all.. read more

Coming from Washington State, I recently moved here. I have been going to the Wild West for several weekends. It is a nice place but I notice there are two different DJ's they use. Friday night the guy plays a decent mix between the older country music and newer faster country. The Saturday night DJ tends to stay with all the newer faster country. I asked for a slow waltz as everything was fast. He didn't know what to play. He plays like he is in a hip hop bar. Why he is even there in a country bar, I don't understand. It has to be the management. For New Year's, they increased the price of beer $1. The Champagne toast at midnight was 1 oz in a plastic cup. I've never seen such cheap ownership of a club. We've been twice. First time was alright- lots of underage girls that I personally know drinking. My husband was in flip flops and was not a problem. However, the second time we went with another couple- my husband in a white v-neck Tshirt and flip flops and the other man also had flip flops. My friend and I went on a Saturday night with our wives and sister and law, and the bouncer guy denied us entry because my buddy had flip flops on. It was hardcore shady, and he was whispering about it with another bouncer while they deliberated right in front of us. It was pretty belittling, and disrespectful. I don't really like country music and I have not danced country western ever but my friend talked me into going on a Friday night. They have a free dance lesson from a good instructor that works for Arthur Murray Dance studio. We had a great time. We took the lesson and then danced all night. We went back again the next weekend for some more fun! read more

Went on a Saturday night to see Aaron Watson, it was terrible... It was so crowded that you could not see the artist performing or much less hear him. And you want to dance? Forget that! Also, they should regulate the drinks on the dance floor, twice a drink was dropped near where I was and the glass just got kicked around. I saw maybe 2 security guys walking around the entire place, I wish this place was here when I was a minor! Lol also, parking was ridiculous and I almost got ran over twice walking to my car. Though the bartenders were very friendly they use the "old school" paper tabs instead of on the computer so getting a drink was near impossible, much less a water, very dangerous. The No Smoking policy is why I was originally attracted to Wild West. SOOOO nice. Clientele is nice - not creepy at all like GCS. Bathrooms are clean. Bar is roomy if its still early in the evening. Drink prices are ok, but they ARE stronger than the drinks served at GCS. The alcohol is not watered down. Wait staff is attentive unless it's late and busy...then you have to wait. Dance floor is all wood and is bigger than GCS. I like the upstairs seating option cuz you can look down at the people dancing if you're a people watcher. I've been twice on Saturday and the dance floor is roomy until about 11pm. Yes, there is a lot of young people, but I enjoy watching people. The only reason I took away a star is because they played the same song list both nights. C'mon...mix it up a little. They also play too much non-Country. When this place first opened, I thought it was pretty neat. But I think it has gone downhill in the last two years. It's super crowded and it has long lines and there is a cover. There are also a lot of minors. The dance floor is super crowded and very small, like...really small...and packed with underage drinkers. It's a fun place to experience, I have friends that love it. It's just not all that great in my opinion. The bartenders and the rest of the staff are very rude. And they don't exclusively play country music. Everyone there seems to love the non-country/western music, though. They always play the "wobble" and the youngins' go crazy. It's a very young atmosphere. But much better than Graham's and better than having to drive all the way downtown. But the parking lot is dangerous with drunk drivers. read more

Update: We never got a call back, but had to go BACK up there day of. Our party was huge (about 80+) and had the entire top reserved by our own right. However the positive was we had an excellent, excellent server that was on top of her game. Between her and going to the downstairs bar we made it through the night. Service has improved and now they have better DJ on Friday nights. The wait staff is friendly. Door guy is friendly. There are some rowdy customers late night but that us to be expected as people get more loaded. read more

The bar service is very good, but management has an inflexible and arbitrary policy regarding use of their customer seating. On Friday nights, the upper level, with dozens of empty chairs, is closed off. When all the seats are occupied, management refuses to open up the upstairs or, failing that, to bring extra chairs downstairs. Definitely NOT customer friendly! read more
