I found my vehicle on carfax.com, and that is the only redeeming thing here. I drove from Des Moines to Omaha for it and was very excited because it met all my wants. I called the dealership twice to make sure they would hold it for me. As soon as I arrived there was another woman test driving the vehicle. Two employees stated that there was no way she was going to be able to buy it, just a test drive. They were sexist and right. I brought my 16 year older son and we quickly test drove it, loved it! This should have been an easy process! I brought a vehicle to trade, I was asked by the mechanic (later found out owner) what I would want for my trade in and I told him that I wanted 4500 (top Kelly blue book, bottom was 2000) and he asked me "Has anyone told you about the MAJOR oil leak?" . I have taken excellent care of this car and I said absolutely not, and then he asked my son to get on the ground and try to see this "leak", to which I told my son to get up and explained that he is just a kid. He then said he would get it up on the hoist so we could both look at it. I was ready to walk because I didn't feel they were treating me professionally because I am a woman buying a car. I watched him hoist it up and we looked at it together, there was no major leak, but oil had soaked the parts, but no leaking. Ok, fine. we talked it out, he apologized and so did I. Deal is still on, I go back in to start this deal and I was then asked if my 16 year older was a cosigner! Granted he looks older and had a mask on...come on!
Jeremy is my sales guy, nice dude or so I thought! We get through the deal,, as soon as I get the vehicle home there is a strange sound coming from the dash. Jeremy is kind enough to let me text him when I catch it again. Which took time because it happened to be the blend door actuator and the AC needed to run. I finally get it videotaped and sent it to him. They are busy, but two weeks later I made a day trip for them to correct the issue. 18,000 car should t have to go to the mechanic within two months... they fix it, I pay 80.00 for the part.
That brings me to current, since it's been quite toasty out, I have noticed that the car is cool on the drivers side but HOT on the passengers side. I called and expressed my disappointment to Jeremy. I was cussed at, and hung up on. I called back, was told to go to the east side of DSM for more drugs, to stop crying, to fucking shut up, and take it somewhere else because they are never dealing with me again because I outright called the owner/mechanic a liar. Literally 15 minutes of him screaming at me over an 80.00 part, that I should have had a basic understanding that I would get my money's worth and it would be fixed. These guys are bastards and I would never do business with them ever again. Very sad, he literally had a customer he was talking to in his office space that he stopped to talk to and then continued to scream at me. DO NOT GO HERE! read more
