And if, for any reason, there happens to be a 'hair out of place' she'll be gladly 'fixing it' as well. She loves what she does and it is obvious. Though I haven't had one of her facials yet, I was told yesterday that they are fabulous. This salon is lovely and located on N. Market St. in the little town of Wailuku. She was up front about the trouble with traffic due to the new school year, and texted me 15 min before the appt. to mention the potential delay. I love that. To have the wherewithall to make sure to tell a client that, instead of coming late - very professional and kind. On to the experience - it was fantastic. I felt relaxed, she talked to me about what she recommended to keep length but lose the dead ends, and also had a few ideas for my next appointment when I blend in the grey. Love her style, her positive spirit, and also the music. There is nothing better than having an awesome sound track to the new version of me. I needed a root touch up on my brown (not red) hair with blond highlights, and a trim (not a new…read morestyle), so I contacted The Hair Witch (Michelle) and booked an appointment. I read the great reviews and wanted someone in the Wailuku area. She looked at my hair, and I told her my gray was showing and I just wanted a touch up and a trim. She put color and foils on my head. After the rinse, I told her I only wanted a trim. She said I had a lot of hair (I did) and asked if I had every had it textured because it would help the layers. She cut it and when she was done I told her it felt like I had very little hair. She cut off/thinned out so much hair on my bottom length it now looks like I have a 1970's shag. So upsetting. But worse than the cut is the color. I now have brassy red, blond and brown hair. When I got home and could see my hair in good light I could see all the red and how bad the overall color was/is. I've already booked an appointment for color correction with another salon and my hair will eventually grow out from the "shag" cut. Just very disappointed with how she left my hair.
