We came in on a rainy Friday afternoon to get hair cuts for my two kids. Jessica was the hair stylist helping with the hair cuts. Not only have a made a friend, but Michela gave me the BEST HAIRCUT/COLOR I have received in a very long time. I have short, frizzy and wild hair and she was able to give me a beautiful cut that falls into place with beautiful highlights that brightens up my face. Even my husband, who rarely notices, said that I look 10 years younger! The only problem is that I live in CA so we will have to figure out when I can go back for my next haircut. Nellie, the stylist on duty squeezed me in the same day, and gave me the best haircut I've ever had. You HAVE to go see Jessica at Roxana's! She is unbelievably talented at what she does. I came in without a haircut in over a year and she cleaned me up so beautifully. I was debating bangs and trusted her professional opinion that it wouldn't look right considering how fine my hair is. I was able to share how I wanted my hair to look and Jessica went above and beyond my expectations. We went with highlights (which was done perfectly) and layers. She did such a good job, I left feeling like a million bucks. I can 100% honestly say that my hair has never looked better. Worst hair styling experience. They did not ask me how I wanted to cut my bangs and the guy just told his hairstylist to cut it.. the fool strait up cut it straight across without hesitation. I've always been asked how short everytime I get my bangs cut. I was pissssed! They tried making it a better but made it worse each attempt. They should have given me a discount for that. They even raised the price at checkout when she obviously quoted me at $40. At checkout they asked for $60 after knowing they screwed up and had an unhappy customer. I was pissed and asked her about the previous price. Horrible experience and the skill level of the hair cutting/styling was the poorest that I have ever seen. Future customers do not come here for hair styling for a special occasions. Even though it's closest to the Ritz/Kapalua villas, you are better off at Head to toe or salon at the Ritz. read more

I've been coming to Roxanna's for over 10 years now. The service is great and I've never been disappointed in my haircut. I don't always use the same person I use whoever they have available as I'm really bad on making appointments. I'm a very picky person want to comes to my hair. I spend more time on the bathroom and on my hair than my wife does. LOL WHAT BOTHERS ME IS THAT THERE'S ONLY TWO REVIEWS ON YELP. AND IT'S BOTH TWO PEOPLE THAT GAVE NEGATIVES! I bet those two people only write bad reviews never good ones. Most of Roxanna's clientele or older and been coming here for years. They don't do Yelp. So I needed a haircut when I was in Maui staying on the northwest side of the island. I saw good reviews about Roxanna's hair affair. I was pleasantly surprised that even though I got there late in the day I only had about a five minute wait. The stylist to cut my hair, I think her name was marzie, was extremely friendly and personable. I would consider that haircut the best ever! Too bad I live 2500 miles away from this place I would be there every week. The price of a men's haircut was reasonable too! I really hope I got the stylist name right but I do remember she had a Polish accent which was really cool. I Definitely recommend this place. read more

Roxannas was the first place my son and I got a haircut on Maui. We walked in and we're seen right away. Roxanna and her staff were absolutely perfect. Facility, location and tools perfectly clean and comfy. She cut my hair better than how I could have asked for, and trimmed my eyebrows without me even asking. This is something I have asked countless barbers and stylists to do but they refused. She just did it! In one simple pass like magic ending years of obnoxious eye brow discomfort. The price was absolutely affordable. No upselling or pressure of any kind. Her male stylist did a perfect job on my son's long hair, keeping the length we've been going for, but still clearing out his bangs and hair by ears. I would have paid more and did by giving a big tip. You will too trust me. Both my husband and I tried Roxana's while we were on vacation in Kapalua. Even though we saw the other less-than-positive reviews, they were 2+ years old so we decided to give this place a try. They were quick to get us both in (on separate days), met all our needs, and were exceedingly nice. My husband had his hair cut, and I had my roots colored as well as a hair cut. The gal who did my color/cut (Nellie, if I remember correctly) was great both technically as well as personally. She was friendly but not overly-friendly, and she did a really good job matching the color that my existing stylist uses. Not always easy! The hair cut she gave me was good too. While I was there, several locals came in to say hello; it was a nice place with a positive local vibe. I'd be happy to go back the next time we're in Maui! read more
