Cindy is the best of the best! She always can reach that blonde level of highlights that we all want added in to our brunette hair for summer! I have come in with huge hair disasters and she has really saved me. My tweets have had their haircut and colored as well and they looked like little beauty queens walking out the door. Absolutely love Cindy. She's a great person and an amazing stylist. read more

Had a great haircut by Katie this week. She did a nice job with the wash- very relaxing. Highly recommend.

Leslie is amazing. I went in with very vague instructions. I just wanted some highlights. I'm not great at explaining hair details because I'm not a hair stylist. She proceeded to ask me a bunch of questions to figure out EXACTLY what I wanted before she started. It came out perfect! It's exactly what I wanted, and she is so so sweet! All the girls at PLUSH are sweet and amazing stylists. So, if you can't get in with Leslie, no matter what, you're in good hands! I will definitely be back! read more

I come into this establishment and am filled with joy as a lady and a client. Not only are these women/stylists reliable, credible and nice, they truly give the salon feeling, not just a haircut but friendly and you can talk women to women. Every women needs a haircut but every woman wants the true experience and this salon provides. It's been so long since I found a salon tht gives an amazing head massage tht melts my stress away and provides my hair with what it needs, plus hair shampoo and conditioner! . I need their product and use it ! I'm just a mail carrier my hair is a mess and they fix it every time. I even bumped into my other co worker today at the salon tht was so great knowing she also gets her hair done there, and her hair always looks good. Again I'd recommend this salon over n over again and I hope to c u there! read more

Called and got a last minute appointment. Katie did a fantastic job. Excellent service, personable and professional. Thank you Katie!

If you don't mind not wearing a mask, I would recommend this place for cuts. I walked in and was surprised none of the workers or customers were wearing masks, I was the only one. I went to get a deep conditioning mask which was $40+, but wasn't too pleased when it felt like just the ends of my hair was smothered with a slab of cream. My whole point of going there was to get my dry scalp conditioned but it didn't get touched at all. Also, when she came back to rinse it off, I swear I heard her mumble under her breath "fuck" as if she was disgusted to be even dealing with my hair. I did appreciate the haircut as she did cut off my dead-ends like I needed. I mean, for what I paid, I basically could've just done at home or at Supercuts. I'm now learning a pattern when booking an appointment online for a salon: if they have a lot of slots open, it's probably not a good sign that they're what you're looking for in a stylist. read more

Let me start out by saying, I am the most high maintence customer when it comes to my hair. I have very fine hair and am in the ocean every single day for work so when it comes to coloring my hair, I am very particular. I can not express this enough - Crystal is a literal magician when it comes to hair! She listened to every request I had and all my paranoia and BLEW MY MIND!! She explained every step of what she was doing which also out my mind to ease. I can't thank you enough, Crystal, for making my blonde hair dreams come true. I've wanted blonde balayage for over 5 years now and you are the only one I will ever go to for my hair now! I would give 100 stars if I could!!!! read more

Got a haircut there. Super nice and accurate specialist. Thanks, Barbie Pretty clean place, but AC was broken. A woman next to me wasn't wearing a mask and employees didn't push it. That's bad. read more

Having moved here from the mainland three years ago, totally loving my hair stylist in California, I was concerned about what on earth I was going to do when We got here! After a couple of unsuccessful tries with others in south Maui ,Tiana at Plush Beauty Lounge In Lahaina exceeded my expectations !!!! I have no qualms about referring her to anybody male or female, as my husband goes to her too and we absolutely LOVE everything she does Whole heartedly give her a five stars! read more

Super frustrated & disappointed. Drove into town for a wax with Kelly. Originally booked my appointment at 12:45p, but got a text this morning stating it was at 1pm. Moved around an appointment following this one to accommodate the time change. Showed up at 12:55 and was told that I couldn't be accommodated because I was late. I explained that I got a text saying my appointment time was 1pm. (I forgot my phone at home & couldn't show her.) She said, "Well, if that's true, I need to contact the company that does the texts." So now I'm a liar?! Look, technical mistakes happen, life happens, but I would never treat a first-time customer like this. So, here is the screenshot proof that y'all effed up. A better choice would've been to accommodate the guest, I've never had a wax take more than 20 minutes. Instead, you wasted my time, your time, and lost $$, and a future client. read more

MJ saved my wedding...hair. That's a little dramatic, but I made the rookie mistake of going for a pretty drastic color change 1 day before I left for Maui (to get maui'd). As with all drastic changes, it takes some getting used to, but nope...after 1 day on the island, I realized that I hated my color. This is coming from someone who is very low maintenance. I was going to deal with it and hope my haku covered up the lightness. However, on a random trip to Foodland, I walked past Plush and they said that MJ was available to do my hair the following day. A sign? My consultation with MJ was amazing - I've never had anyone ever spend that much time explaining options and being honest enough to say that no, my Pinterest screenshot will not be a reality. Not surprising since she has over 15 years of experience, originally from Walnut Creek. Upon seeing my bewilderment, she proposed to darken one layer and see how I like it. It's truly amazing how some well-placed color can change everything. Her work was fast and the results, though subtle, made a huge difference. read more

Tiana and MJ were full of amazing energy. They settled my nerves never having anyone other than my stylist do my hair and makeup for my wedding. Somehow they managed do beautify myself and 5 other girls with time to spare to touch me up after the tear waterfall erupted. Each girl lasted beautifully thru the night. My hair is fast to react to the humidity but made it thru to the reception. Thanks ladies!!!! read more

Went here for the first time and had the pleasure of meeting Collin, who has come highly recommended by several people here on island. His work speaks for itself and is truly a master at what he does. He's a real character but nonetheless a gentleman from TX. I was sad to hear (once I found someone who can cut my curly hair without making me look like a Loofa) that he will be moving onto his next endeavor in the barber shop world. I wish him nothing but the best in all he does and who knows, there might be a day when I walk into the barber shop asking for a fade, cut in and/or flat top just like Kid in Play! ;-) Keep up the spunk, I dig your style and who knows, maybe one day our paths will collide (flat top or not!) The beautifully styled "Non-loofa looking" Chicago girl! read more

This is the only place that I have gone to where I actually have left satisfied. Crystal is AMAZING! She is really though and really knows what she is doing. She was fast and very knowledgeable. I have found my go to person! I went more blonde. She is a pro at blondes! I was a walk in customer. I came in about 10am and they were able to schedule me around 2:15. They even called me to let me know crystal was done with her previous appointment early and I was able to come in early if I could make it. Everyone was very nice. Definitely worth it to go here. Especially if you have an appointment with Crystal. read more

This is my go to place for color. Leslie is amazing! She is Seriously a color artist. She won't even let you walk out the door until you absolutely love your hair! Even after having chemical applied to my already damaged hair, I walk out feeling like my hair is soft, silky, and healthy! All of the stylist in here are great! A+++++++ read more

Go. See. Crystal. We were in Maui for my in laws 50th wedding anniversary, and my husband and I thought it would be great to take advantage of the location and do our family portraits there. I am completely hopeless with my hair, but I knew I wanted it to be awesome, so I checked out Yelp and came across Plush. They were able to get me an appointment, and Crystal did not disappoint. Not only was my hair amazing (and lasted through some rain, wind, humidity and the 4 hours between my appointment and our session) but she even taught me some really helpful tips to being able to beach curl my own hair too. So I got to sip wine, have a fun conversation, AND walk out looking (and feeling) amazing. Win/win/win! If you are in Maui and need your hair rocked out while you're there, I can't recommend Plush and Crystal enough. Thank you Crystal! read more

Meagin brought me back from a hair disaster. I don't know what I was thinking seeing anyone else on Maui- I claim temporary insanity. I can always depend on Meagin for beautiful, healthy and pampered tresses. Thanks girlie. read more

I am visiting Maui for my anniversary and wanted to get my hair done. With two kids at home, I am crazy busy so since I am on vacation, it was the perfect time. Plush had great reviews and was able to fit me in the same day. Crystal did a fantastic job on my long bob cut and brown bayalage. What I loved is that she took this time to make sure she knew what I wanted, gave her input on what would look best on me and then even held the swatch of color up to me to confirm the color. She was able to use my current color in the bayalage to make it more multidimensional. My hair feels fantastic! She even styled it after for me. If your visiting Maui, go see Crystal, you will love your hair! read more

The most amazing salon on West Maui. The scheduling is superb and the team is great. The owner Tiana runs a great shop.

I was ready to do something with my hair after some surgeries and lots of time healing but didn't know what to do. I called Plush and Barbara instantly encouraged me. She cut my hair and made me feel very comfortable while she did it. I was thrilled with the results. I will definitely be seeing her again. Thank you, Barbara! read more

Excellent service!! The place is beautiful and very clean, in a great location!! They just added Manicure and Pedicure service and the photos around the salon are fabulous!! I go there every 3 months and I take all my 3 kids. Even though it cost a little bit more to cut my kids hair, about $25 instead of $19 in most places it is well worth. they treat my kids with a lot of kindness giving them attention and the hair cut is superior compare to the other places. Thank you Tiana for well done service!! read more

NEWS FLASH!!! Sadly, 'my' Ivy is no longer at Plush. The Ivy I really love is now at Art & Soul, just over on Dickenson street! The owner of Plush emailed me tonight (I had put a 1-star rating on this update, as in 'boo-hiss, Ivy has moved') so I am updating this to a 5-star rating so it does not 'harm' Plush. Here is the scoop: Plush hired a new person named Ivy (so this might get really confusing)...but I previously reviewed the Ivy who moved to Art & Soul salon. I just want to clarify because I think a lot of people read my posts (along with others) and booked with Ivy Campbell as a result. Plush is a great salon, and I'm sure the new Ivy is great! ;) read more

First time going to Plush for a hair color. So my expectations were high. I was greeted with a warm smile and Aloha spirit from Lauryn ( my hairstylist). I just had an awesome experience at Plush. I just moved to town and needed some color touch-ups and a cut, luckily I had an appointment with Collin. He was awesome!!! I'm not a usual hair salon person, in fact I barely ever cut my hair, but he knew exactly what to do with the little description i gave him and I LOVE my hair. Not only is he an awesome stylist, (best blow-out) but we had great conversation and made me feel very comfortable. He had great customer service and I'd highly recommend him . I also, decided to get my eyebrows waxed and enjoyed my time with Veronica. She was quick and I didn't even hurt. Keep up the good work and safe travels Collin :). PS. The receptionist was very sweet and attentive as well. The salon is in a great area with lots of parking. Prices are decent and it's very clean. read more

I was in Hawaii for the holidays.. grays started coming in, and my short hair needs a cut monthly. Decided to try Plush because of the reviews. Had Danielle do a root touch up and cut. She was amazing. If ur in town living or traveling- schedule with Danielle- she's a pro, and it shows! read more

A friend and I arrived at Plush today to get a Brazilian and an eyebrow wax between the two of us. Veronica is the esthetician and she was absolutely wonderful. She was nice and polite, maintaining conversation without making you feel uncomfortable or silly. Professional and skilled, we were both very pleased with the service at Plush. Average/fair pricing. Clean environment. Private, fully enclosed waxing room. An insignificant side note: they also had a water tank and small variety of teas for you to help yourself to whole waiting for your appointment or your friend to finish up. read more

I love this place, gotten my hair cut here plenty of times by Jeremy and others. It has always been a 5 star experience until the last time I was there and sat with Angela. First off, cutting my hair is simple. It's a hawk, not a traditional hawk but a hawk non the less. A good stylist can knock it out in under 10 minutes. But Angela was more focused on giving me her version of my hair cut. Instead of buzzing the sides all the way down like I asked she want to do it at a 3 citing "most guys don't buzz the sides all the way" I don't care what most guys like, just cut it how I asked, I am paying you woman!! I had to ask a second time to buzz them at a zero and she responded with some kind of fade on the sides that required me asking a 3rd time to buzz the side till there is nothing but stubble. (I felt I had to be as specific as possible because what usually is an easy task for hair stylists was seeming to me overwhelming for her) The only other request was to follow the lines and not cut any of my long hair. Apparently that was to much to ask because I wouldn't exactly call this a hawk anymore. She tapered the fuck out of it in the back!! It was the same thickness all the way back for the last year but now it's 4 inch wide on the top and about half an inch wide in the back. The worst part is, my hair is so long that at first glance looking at the back it looks fine. But I didn't notice until the next day just how much my hair got butchered. To be honest, I blame myself. I was to preoccupied trying to figure out what her thought process was on the sides on my head that when she said she was done I was just like, "get me the hell out of here!" I guess I just have to scrap it and start over. No big deal only took me a year to grow it out.. read more
