Don't feel safe here. This was my favorite place to get a haircut (since it is the cheapest place by far) until June 7, 2025. On that day, the person standing in front of me robbed it at gunpoint. At that time it was a "cash only" business. On July 12, I asked an employee if it was still a "cash only" business and she responded, "yes." They installed cameras after the robbery but the thief was wearing a mask, hood and glasses, so I don't know how cameras are going to help. I am using a different salon even though it costs more. read more

The haircut was great, high level just like the expensive place I go to in North Beach SF. Asked for a LOW skin fade for my son and got this hack job. Easily the Worst haircut he's ever received. She didn't even attempt to fade the back. The lady just started hacking away with clippers with no guard so I knew instantly it wasn't going to be good but where is the fade? Why did you start at the top of his head? To be fair there were 2 women working. A slender white lady who performed this "haircut" and then a younger, local looking girl. The local girl gave my other son a haircut and actually did a really good job. You guys need to get rid of that other woman before you lose more customers. read more

Needed a quick freshenin' clean up & a taper/fade during vacation, and I happened to be in the area - after a grocery run at nearby Times Supermarket. This barber shop is unique - open-air & right smack on the corner of Times. I had called beforehand to inquire pricing (it's cheap!) & if they could do a clean up in-between service cut, since I had just gotten a cut before coming to the island for vacation. I walked in one early Sunday morning, and I saw they had a clip board where one signs their name up to be on the list for the nice ladies that give those cuts. Apparently, one of the two ladies were busy - and I was assisted by Liz, who really did a good job at a "clean up" cut for my hair. Even though the shop is a small place, they did have some toys and books to entertain small children; in addition, to being in a 'cool' away from the heat - type of place, and I could really feel the "fresh" air from outdoors, simply because we were in the shade & it wasn't THAT hot at all, due to the fact that this was on a December morning. Having ample parking right in front of the shop & being in an open-air setting to feel the wonderful Maui breeze is an aspect that no other barber shop in the island could have! On the other hand, Liz wasn't too talkative or wanting to converse; rather, she focused on her craft & made sure that what she was doing, would suit me - as she had me facing the mirror during the haircut. She was really taking her time with me, and her small talk gave a friendly impression of her, her associates, and their shop - such a personable space for all! Dont get your hair cut from the girl with a tatoo sleeve on her right arm. She does not pay attention to what you ask for. I asked for an inch off this top and for about a quarter inch to be left on my sides. That way my hair would flop down and hang over. I ended up looking like the really messed up guy from goonies. Mr "hey you guys!" She butchered my hair and because I am an introvert and too polite for my own good t there and said nothing. Such a great place to get a haircut. We were visiting from out of town and looking for a no frills place to get a quick cut. What we loved about this location is that is doesn't take reservations. They are walk-in only. When we arrived we were impressed with the open air design of the shop. There is a sign in sheet to reserve a time as well as benches to sit on and misters - my favorite part. It was refreshing to sit there and wait for the next available cut. Our barber was amazing. She was friendly and offered great conversation while she worked. The cut took 15 minutes at most and looked awesome. Cash only at this location but there is an ATM in the grocery store next door. We didn't think that any salons/barber shops would be open on a Sunday, but long and behold, as we were leave the "times" market, we see COOL CUTS! At first we thought, maybe an extension of the deli and that it's a sandwich shop. There was no line/wait and the barber(sorry, forgot her name. It was a long poly name) was ready to go. It's a cool outdoor spot with the ceiling fans going and water misting to cool clients down. Hair cut was clean and the barber was attentive to detail. Conversation was light and upbeat. Took less than 20 minutes. And price was less than places on the mainland! $18. Can't beat that when you're on vacation. read more

Superb place to get a haircut. Stop in , sign in and in no time the two chair shop will get you done. I asked for a high and tight style, and it was done perfectly. The open air shop even has misters to keep you cool while waiting in their waiting chairs. The 2 women were pleasant, easy going and knew the families that pop on regularly. In the two years I've lived in the area I have wanted to take my son here for a haircut. Well I finally did yesterday and boy do I regret it! My son had went in with a full head of shoulder length hair wanting the same style just shorter. I was appalled at the end result. He now has a mullet style that looks as if he cut it himself! You can see nearly every cut she made or should I say every chop! The cut doesn't blend at all and resembles a shorter version of Joe Dirt! It is hard for me to believe she attended cosmotology school. I definitely need to take him to have it fixed which I'll do at Super Cuts. Eighteen dollars for a kids cut which doesn't include a wash. You definitely don't get what you pay for here...DON'T GO HERE EVER!! I'm giving this place 1 star only because I can't give it zero due to Yelp guidelines! read more
