You can either pick your own strawberries or buy some that are already picked, which is what we did. They also sell their own jams, local pickles, and other goodies. We couldn't resist trying the strawberry shortcake, and oh my, a true taste of summer on the Summer Solstice! The biscuits are homemade right there on the farm (yes, I bought some to take home), and everything was absolutely scrumptious. Just a heads up, if you're paying by credit card, there's a $15 minimum. And if you're going to pick your own, bring cash or a check. Honestly being cash...unless you are coming to buy pre picked flats of fruit.. They also grow blueberries, raspberries, sweet cherries, and peaches when in season, so we'll definitely be back! It's about a 30-minute drive from Rochester, through beautiful farmland and lovely homes. I even heard the bells of a nearby church it added the perfect touch to the whole experience. They have a parking lot, and it's all just very charming. Support local!

Their ice cream sundae selection looks like a delicacy Farm fresh canned items as well including raspberry sauce and honey were available at their farm stand. My women's group and myself had a blast enjoying camaraderie, ice cream, and sundae picking during Rochester's heat wave recently. Will definitely come again for one of the sundaes and other farm fun! Thank you for a memorable time.

However, if you're searching for something for them to do in the early summer because there's only so much a kid can play with a water table, picking strawberries isn't just fun and adorable, it's also useful and tasty. Gro-Moore is the spot. They make it simple, and get out of your way. Follow the hay bales labeled "U-Pick" to the parking area. Hop out, grab a couple containers if you didn't bring your own, pick strawberries from their abundant patches, pay, and be on your way. There are folks there picking giant baskets with $40 worth of strawberries, people like us grabbing a pint or two with the kids, and everything in between. It was already starting to get crowded around 10 am, so get there early to beat the heat and the crowds. The strawberries are obviously as fresh as can be, and amazingly tasty. Even better, the Gro-Moore folks are all sweethearts. It's a family biz, and everyone's got smiles for you and your kids. They don't even weigh your kids before and after, which would probably bring in a good amount of cash because I couldn't believe how many strawberries some of these children stuffed in their face.

Between the animals in and our of the barn, the giant sandbox, and the tetherball, this was a great little area to hang out in. They also had a fun basketball hoop in a wagon which sent your ball back every time. That was fun! They had wagon rides, plenty of food and drinks available, and for the birthday party we got a couple of their homemade cinnamon donuts which were delicious. We didn't do any blueberry picking but we will be back for that. However they have the store in the barn which had maple syrup, jams, produce, and so many other great items. We grabbed a few more donuts and a jar of homemade jam. This is a great spot for the family or even just a weekend date. We will be coming back for more soon!

It has an amazing variety of fresh vegetables, fruits, beef, pork, eggs and flowers too! All sorts of fun activities that the children can participate in. Its a way to have a great fun-filled day without breaking the bank. I hear the wagon rides are a blast too!! Their CSA/farm share program is second to none. I have been eating healthier thanks to Greg's. I do know that they do not spray the fields with pesticides. With the way the big box grocery stores get their products, who knows what the heck has been done to them. Check out Greg's U-Pick. You will not be disappointed!!

Officially all in for the spring share with this local CSA. It makes eating local produce that much…read moreeasier since I can't always get to the market. The CSA features produce from local farms, many are organic too. They break it out in seasons and now offering year-round options. For the spring share, I paid in full to reserve a weekly share with pick up at Three Heads Brewing - $64 for 4 weeks ($16 per week). They have several other pick up locations, days, times, and even delivery. I opted for the small share, which is good for 1-2 people for a week. So far I've enjoyed making recipes with a few ingredients I've never worked with before like green garlic, rhubarb, beets, etc. That's the most enjoyable part for me - the challenge of cooking with something new and going outside my comfort zone in the kitchen with new veggies and getting creative. In their weekly emails, they'll break down what types of veggies you'll be getting that week as well as recipes they've compiled on Pinterest, which is handy! In addition to the veggie shares, they have several other options you can add one, including eggs, meats (chicken, beef, pork, duck), fruits, veggie burgers, bread, yogurt, and coffee (they partner with Fuego and Joe Bean). I haven't opted in for any of these yet, but am intrigued and may consider it down the road to try more local meats, eggs, etc.

I am really excited about the fall selection. Our first fall delivery had a great variety of (mostly) vegetables and some fruit. Everything was so fresh, and the portions were perfect. The price is well worth what you get. They have a number of pick up locations that service the Rochester area, and a variety of private and open-to-public pre-box drop off sites. I think it's a great opportunity to really support local growers, and I'm excited that the food is coming to me for the next few weeks.
