Strawberry shortcake & strawberry sundae
Carole S.

The best strawberry shortcake! That's what's for lunch! Always an annual lunch treat It's a busy small limited market stand with a separate stand for delicious fresh summer treats. It's worth the wait for a strawberry shortcake. Picnic tables in the shade to enjoy your treats. Check operating hours before heading there. Enjoy!

Chase Farms is a cute farm that offers an array of different local produce. They have pick your own berries depending on the time of summer, which is always a fun filled family experience. They also have a farm stand if you do not want to pick your own. My favorite is their shortcake. In June and the beginning of July they have the best fresh strawberry shortcake! They also make peach and raspberry shortcake as well. Last fall we were pumpkin hunting. We went to a couple local farms and the price seemed extremely high. We ending up deciding to go to Chase before just giving up and going to Wegmans. Their price for pumpkins were amazing! So much better than 2 other farms we stopped at prior. This is our new place to go for local pumpkins in the fall. They always have a bunch of different types of pumpkins. If you are looking for a place that has games and things for the kids to do, this definitely is not it. Sometimes they do have a goat or two out that you can feed/pet. But if you are looking for local produce at a reasonable price, try Chase farms.

This by far has been the best experience at a new place. We are west side dwellers and our berries farms weren't available yet. So we ventured here. The staff are so friendly in explaining protocols. First, always bring cash to a u pick place.. it's usually the golden rule to farms. you are literally in a field so they usually don't take cards. Here they do take card but you have to spend a certain amount. Easier to do for some people vs others. Second bring your own container or they provide containers at a small fee. I prefer to bring my own since it's sturdy enough and it's just better for the environment. If you purchase their containers they are easily reusable for next time. The wagon ride to the farm was fun for my son and it saved us walking that distance. They have the system down pat. they have workers in the field instructing you to the row to pick. They have a flag system in place so you know where people stopped. I love this system because you will satisfied with the quick pick vs having to go row to row like some other places. We went during the week in the morning and it wasn't busy at all. Very good experience. Employees are super nice. The berries are huge and delicious. Worth the drive.

My go to place for strawberry picking. I go pretty much every year here and have never had a bad experience. Their berries are delicious and plentiful. Friendly customer service. Definitely recommend.

Really great little berry picking location. Picked blueberries and raspberries. It's $5, all-you-can-fill per pint. Afterwards we got a raspberry shortcake with ice cream that was delicious. Great fun!

Had a good experience with my visit. Went for strawberry picking and it was a lot of fun. Picked up and taken to a patch, given a box they you can fill (it's all done by weight for strawberries) and you just start picking what looks good to you! We even stopped over to do raspberry picking as well, that's done per pint, but you can fit a lot of berries in a pint. Prices seemed fair and staff was friendly. I recommend trying it out!

Friendly service and the best strawberry shortcake ever! It's still early in the season so more produce is coming and we love their raspberry shortcakes year after year! U-pick is available and it's always fun to stop out back of the stands and visit the family goats!

Fresh Strawberry shortcake with ice cream.

Someone said strawberries were ready for picking so I headed to Chase Farms. I wasn't picking but they make the best fresh strawberry shortcake with ice cream ever! Many others had the same idea too! They are picking on the morning and stop at noon (I think) and start up again for early evening. Their berries are nice too. Usually they have boxes already picked to buy but they didn't tonight. They also sell many other things on a cart that was also closed. I guess at night the ice cream stand and you pick keeps them busy enough. Now I'm going to eat

Love love love Chase Farms! Went for the first strawberry picking week of the season and it nothing short of exceptional. The strawberries were plump, ripe, and plentiful! I was a bit nervous for the berries considering the excessive amount of rain we've had this week, but they survived and were still juicy and flavorful! I arrived at about 10:15am on a Saturday morning and there was a decent crowd. There was lines for everything, but the entire experience moved quickly. The fields are walkable, but they had a tractor that bring you to the correct area if you don't want to walk. Fun for kids and adults to ride! Once you get to the fields, they assign you a place and pick to your hearts content! The row they gave my boyfriend and I had the perfect amount of strawberries for us. Ended up picking about 6 lbs. At $2.35/lb, we spent about $15 for the berries and the carton (costs $1 if you don't return it). They have a delicious sundae and dessert bar, with fantastic strawberry shortcake. Get it with ice cream and enjoy enjoy in the shade. Best was to cool down after picking berries all afternoon! If you want to make your own strawberry shortcakes, they sell their biscuits as well! The farm stand also has prepicked strawberry sold by the quart, random veggies, and jams (they had garlic scrapes today - Yum!). They have a small pen with 3 goats, but I don't think you can pet or feed them. Still cool for kids to see! Great berries with fantastic service by all of the employees - even while they work wait in the hit sun. Highly recommended!

Bring cash or check. No credit cards. How a business survives in today's day and age doing this I have no idea.

Decent prices, but extremely rude staff. Made it an unpleasant experience. Overall will not be returning due to this.

Customer service sent a second set of holders through the same service (Lonestar Overnight) that lost the first one. According to Lonestar tracking the package has been in Plano Texas since 11/29. 12/3 after contacting WS customer service I am told the candleholders are no longer available but I can go to one of about 70 stores that still might have stock. None of those stores are within 50 miles of where I live.

If your looking for things to cook and bake it's worth going, but it's expensive I'm not gonna lie. Certain things I can justify the price other things no.. The only reason I'll give four stars is because the staff is usually on point and most know about food and cooking. They carry somethings I don't feel like ordering from the U.K. Fortnum and Mason teas and jams... they have cookbooks, they have utensils, pots, pans, glasses, china, and etc. I also love the catalog it's helpful and oh the knives lots of them by the usual suspects. Know this they have been around over 45 years and they know how to do things but... like I said it's expensive. When they have a sale they have a pretty good one. You can also register for your wedding or housewarming. Great store but if you don't cook or bake it's not for you. I find some really great stuff and I usually buy my Silpat mats, pop over pans and a few other things here. Give it a view... cheers

We DoorDashed the order and the food came nicely prepared and packaged with order labels and our names written on top of the lids. Pleasantly surprised to discover that Shaloka is a food court stand in Eastview Mall. The quality of their bowls exceeded my expectations of typical food court food. What sets Shaloka apart from Tai Chi is their fruit bowls (Açai and Pitaya/Dragonfruit) and also their Signature Bowls. The fruit bowls are super refreshing and are akin to a smoothie in a spoon and bowl format. Their Signature Bowls also take the guesswork out of it. They are recipes that have already been tested. They are still customizable and you can even build your own like at Tai Chi if you wanted to. I got their Signature Hawaiian Classic bowl and it was delicious. Ahi tuna, salmon, avocado...enough said. It was yummy and I actually really loved their brown rice. It was short grain and had some good texture. Overall, it's the best poke i've had in Rochester, which isn't saying too much because there aren't too many other options. But still, the bowls are well-composed and feel more like a whole dish than a bunch of toppings thrown on top of rice.
