The process was fine in the beginning. We were clear about what we wanted and our budget. It seemed everyone was on the same page. We filled out their landscape questionnaire in detail and again, noted our budget. We are always weary of signing design contracts. Knowing numbers of rounds, estimates and being warned when we are close to going over the estimated amount is crucial to us. We made this clear to DL and had multiple conversations discussing our fear. Somehow, it still happened... Then Denver Landscapes came back to us with a plan that was almost 3X our original budget. What?!? They wasted their time building out such a plan and our money by charging us for those wasted design hours. All in all, it was a worthless exercise that left us very frustrated and feeling taken advantage of. It was a horrible experience and I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy. We have since found an amazing company to work with. They came in within budget and have been such a pleasure to work with! We are super excited to put this behind us and enjoy our new patio!

I'm getting the runaround from this company following an incident that occurred on I-25N, about 12…read moremiles out of Fort Collins, on 8/19/20, while I was traveling cross-country. I was driving in the left lane, and a Long's Peak Landscape truck and trailer were in the right lane. In a bumpy construction zone, a rock flew from their vehicle and struck the hood and windshield of my car, causing damage to both. My daughter was in the passenger seat, and she was able to grab some photos quickly, before the truck exited the freeway. One photo clearly shows another loose rock on the trailer. Being in the left lane, I wasn't able to follow the truck off the freeway, but I called the company at my next rest stop. The very kind receptionist assured me they would take care of the damage, and she asked me to send photos and full information, which I did immediately. They asked me to get a repair estimate, which I provided to them after I arrived home in CA. After 2 weeks passed with no response, I reached out again and was told to file a claim with my insurance company, which would then work with their insurance company for a resolution. Three months have now passed. My insurance company has been reaching out repeatedly, and Long's Peak has refused to put them in touch with their insurance so we can resolve this. My insurance company says there's nothing else they can do if Long's Peak won't cooperate. Now I am faced with living with the damage to my 2 year old car OR paying the $1000 deductible to get the damage repaired myself. Long's Peak Landscape was irresponsible in operating a vehicle with loose rocks on it, on public roads. I'm contacting an attorney to see what it will take to get this settled.

I asked that they let me know when they were coming, nothing. They supposedly came and did stuff when I wasn't home. They started up my sprinkler system but I still have not gotten the assessment. I do not recommend this company at all. No follow through and I think they don't do half the stuff they charge for. We had to hire another company to repair the system. The repairs included replacing all of our front yard heads and fixing broken lines. When I reached out to resolve the issue, I did not receive a meaningful resolution. Instead, I was asked for extensive documentation before any consideration of reimbursement. At this point, the matter remains unresolved. Based on my experience, I would recommend asking detailed questions about pressure settings and liability before using this service.
