We had the best experience with the folks of Boulder Landscape and Design! We wanted to get rid of some of our lawn and needed help designing an outdoor space to enjoy in its place. What we got is beyond our expectations. We now have a beautiful flagstone patio nestled under a shade tree and surrounded by native plants, bushes, and small trees. I asked Kristen their very skilled and highly knowledgable designer for a woods like feel and I got just what I asked for. No request was too much. The landscape crew is amazing! Samantha was amazing. We had only a general idea of what we wanted to do and she listened to our priorities and came up with a great design that we are very excited about. She helped us completely redo our backyard including the addition of some great rock features with a natural look, no-mow grass, and a trampoline area and sandpit for the kids. The sandpit was her suggestion and gets tons of use! BLD also installed a Racchio smart watering system which is a godsend and has really helped to automate our lawn watering, adjusting for things like rainy days. Samantha was a pleasure to work with and was extremely flexible and adaptable in responding to some of our last minute tweaks and modifications to the design. Their work is fantastic. The turf along with with the french drain system under it is amazing to help drain the dog urine. Their work set our yard apart from all the neighbors who have given us many complements. We ran into a hiccup but as soon as we addressed it with them they went above and beyond to make it right and did so quickly. The BLD crew tackled a very complex and labor intensive project to redesign and rework a large yard with steep grades and poor access. Design work was thoughtful with great guidance to what was feasible within the project budget and other trade offs. The crew during implementation was incredible, always on time, always very polite and cleaned up at the end of each day. They did not cut any corners and reworked anything that wasn't perfect of their own volition. Highly recommend them for large and complex projects. read more

They provided me with a couple of great options for us to work with and even did a couple of design options for the front yard as well which was more than I expected. BLD recently build a pondless waterfall in our backyard and we love it! The project went well from step 1 when we met with Catherine, our talented BLD landscape designer. I have been a customer of BL&D since 2012 - for basic lawn service, spring and fall clean up, mulching, planting, ... Since the new owners took over the business, I have expanded my services. I am very happy with the services they provide and LOVE that I have had the same crew doing my property since 2012 (Juan and Lupe, you are awesome!) My neighbors have also used them, on my referral, and are also happy with their services. I would definitely - and highly - recommend them. The BLD team transformed our front and side landscaping from overgrown and out-dated to water-wise and appealing. Paige's design layout utilized natural plantings, boulders, and grasses to form a welcoming front entryway and Chuy's expertise in irrigation and draining improved the flow water from our downspout and assured water would not collect near the house. The 2-week project was tidied up at the end of each day, and never once did we feel like we were in a construction zone, even though there was demolition, grading, and lots of disposal of mature plantings going on the first week and deliveries, planting over 130 individual plants, mulching and top soil going on the second week. A clean area was maintained throughout the process. The team was professional, knowledgeable and efficient, with the project starting and ending on schedule. BLD stays true to their estimate and even accommodated our request for some add-ons as the project progressed. I will definitely be recommending BLD to my neighbors! read more

This company is completely unprofessional and incompetent. They said they would contact me over the summer to get some landscaping done, and then never did. When I finally talked to the owner, he said it was my fault for not calling them. Then he hung up on me. They said they would be out three weeks ago to turn off my sprinkler system and never showed up. I sent several emails that went unanswered. I called today and was informed that the owner had decided not to work with me. No contact from them, just not showing up after they promised to. Stay away from these guys! Terrible sense of customer service. read more
