Fantastic food! I had been searching for a seafood boil ever since visiting New Orleans. I can confidently say that this scratched the itch, and I will be back. Our service was prompt, even when we ordered a second order after finishing our main dish. We ordered one of the combos and a couple other a la carte pounds of shrimp and crawfish. I appreciate the sinks that are easily accessible for after your meal!

Just moved to the area and was thrilled to find this type of seafood place nearby. Stopped by on a Sunday afternoon for a late lunch. Our server was friendly, helpful, and courteous. We ordered Combo A, which included 1 lb shrimp, 1 lb crawfish, 1 lb snow crab, 2 corns, 2 sausages, and 2 potatoes. We chose the crazy Cajun spice with mild heat. It was the perfect size for two hungry people and it was absolutely delicious! Everything was cooked perfectly and arrived at the table hot and ready to eat. Be prepared to get messy. It's worth it. The food comes with a bib, utensils, and gloves. Highly recommend wearing the bib as this gets messy. We recommend using your bare hands, as the gloves work fine enough but bare hands make it easier. Plus, there's a wonderful hand washing station to clean your hand before and after your meal. We'll definitely be back.

Super fun and good! We were looking for something different and boy was this different! You could order different sizes of crab boil. That's very fair with the market prices of the fish for that day. We got the $35 one and shared it between four I had shrimp crab white fish corn and potatoes. We had some beers and it was delicious fun!

Food menu is simple and totally fairly priced! Delicious! Can't wait to come back! Worth the trip!

    Nasty Food

The people that work there are great, buttt the food was something else.. The king crab legs were uncrackable, they were over salted I couldn't even eat it. (I paid SEVENTY DOLLARS for that. The snow crab was good. But the craw fish were horrible. It tasted weird. It tasted fishy and when they are fresh they shouldn't taste like that. I paid ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY DOLLARS on this. Now I don't normally leave reviews but this was horrible. Would NOT recommend.

We were just here for the first time on a whim and we can't wait to go back! We were the only people in the place but we were eating at like 4 pm haha. We did the garlic butter/cajun mixed Create Your Own. Loved that we could control the portion sizes and add ins. The crab was amazing, the decor was super cute for the holidays, our server was literally the sweetest, and the rolled ice cream was a surprising dessert choice but was totally delicious! We will definitely be back.

We happened to stop here on the way to the corn maze and we were pleasantly surprised. We ordered to pounds of shrimp with the butter sauce on one and the spicy sauce on the other. And we also got the crawfish. Both were clearly fresh and they were cooked to perfection. The service was friendly, even though it took a little longer to get the food. In the end we also got some of the rolled ice cream on the way out and we're pleased with the portion. Even though this place is a little far from civilization, it's worth the effort to get to. We'll be back!

We got combo B. Calamari. Fried oysters. Fried chicken tender. Everything came out so hot fresh good and fast. The owner is awesome and so is the waiter. We were having a peaceful family dinner. There was a family, across the room from us, with a man cussing while eating with his family. He was raving loudly and cussing about his peace of king crab meat he came for. My son, who is autistic, was watching his ipad when a man interrupted our dinner to tell my son to shut if off. Fyi the music in there was louder than my sons ipad. But he chose to blow up on us all of a sudden. The owner hushed him. But he couldn't stop crying, so he went out to wait in his car. If we can't control a baby crying.. how do we control a crying man? The owner and waiters came to apologize to us. I understand the world is tough these days. It's hard being nice. But if my son has this to face growing up, it makes me sad. Mean man, if you are reading this, shame on you. I'd like to thank the owner and waiter for stepping up and protecting us from him. I really appreciate that there are kind people who can tell what is right and what is wrong in this situation.

Everything was amazing but I think we needed more seasoning and it took like 5-15 minutes to get ice cream

Very friendly staff at family oriented restaurant. I am from LA, so I know what a good boil should taste like. Food and spices were good.

Paisano's on Broadway occupies a unique--and important--place in Richmond's dining landscape…read more Credit where it's due: Phil and Karen Gilardi were instrumental in elevating the town beyond pure fast-food dependence. They recognized early that Richmond sits on a corridor of movement--Chicago flowing north toward Lake Geneva, that Midwestern analogue to the Riviera--and made a legitimate attempt to create a stop where people could sit down, slow down, and share a meal. I still remember my first visit, back when Paisano's had maybe five tables. I was seated next to none other than Dan Rostenkowski, then Speaker of the House. That moment captured something about the place: it aspired to be part of a broader, more connected world than Richmond typically experiences. The concept has always been clear--family-style, approachable Italian, positioned as a step above casual dining. And to their credit, they've maintained consistency over the years. That said, the food itself lands squarely in the "acceptable" category. Not offensive, not memorable--reliably mediocre. It satisfies the requirement of a meal without ever quite justifying a detour. Yet here's the reality: within a five-mile radius, Paisano's remains the only place where you can reasonably take someone on a sit-down date without apology. That alone gives it staying power. Paisano's isn't trying to be extraordinary--and it doesn't quite get there. But it filled a vacuum when it arrived, and in many ways, it still does.
