Outside of the bags we shared crab fried rice, fried mushrooms and French fries. Crab fried rice - do yourself a favor and get it. French fries are perfect for soaking up sauce Bag contents were all wonderful. snow crab legs were plump and yummy, shrimp was firm yet tender and sweet. Corn was like it had been freshly picked and cooked same day. The only thing that wasn't rave-worthy was the andouille sausage. It was fine, but not epic. Even the forks, claw crackers, and shell breakers were substantial and held up well. Would get 5 stars if: 1. soda fountain instead of bottled drinks and/or BYOB; 2. table side hand cleaning - wet wipes are serviceable, a warm wash cloth would have delighted us, or a table side handwashing station for an over the top experience. Place is very small good enough for our family. Service was very accommodating to our family. They didn't have fountain drink only bottles drinks. It's ok but wasn't sure if they refill on drinks because it was bottles. We order appetizers which came out very quickly. Which was great because my family was hungry. The appetizers were hot and fresh. We had wait till fried mushrooms cool off a bit. After the finishing the appetizers. The boil bags were well seasoned, and well portioned. For 4 people, our bill came out to $180. Not terrible for crab ‍ Cons- canned/bottled drinks only. Which means no refills. And they're priced $2 & up. The crab fried rice was extremely bland. I would not order that again. Our server was nice. He took us in at 7:45pm when the restaurant closes at 8:30. And the crab meat that there was tasted less than fresh. My friend said the trifecta sauce was tasty. It's a combination of lemon pepper, garlic, and cajun spice. My Tonkotsu ramen was disappointing. Slightly fishy flavor, likely from the seaweed and/or fish sauce in the broth. There were fewer noodles than in other bowls of ramen I have had at other restaurants, and three pieces of pork. Unremarkable in many ways. The garlic butter rolls were the highlight of the meal. Tasty, good texture. There was just the right amount of garlic butter, not too much, not too little. Service was friendly and quick. My request to omit mushrooms from my soup was cheerfully granted. My buddy and I were the only customers in the dining room during most of our meal. Three customers walked in as we paid our bill. My buddy said not to bother getting him a gift certificate from the restaurant, he did not want to return. I doubt I will return too. We ordered so much food and really enjoyed our boils. My boil came with fries and crab fried rice on the side which was really tasty. Pretty nice seafood boil place. My fiancé is from Louisiana and we were excited to see if it lived up to his expectations. The snow crab and shrimp was delicious, but we'd hardly classify it as Louisiana style and more of a Korean style flavor. Got the trifecta seasonings for both bags which was great. If you like really spicy food, go for the crazy level. The very spicy was not what I expected, as I'm pretty sensitive to spicy foods and i didn't find it that spicy. I'd ask for extra gloves next time. They were kind of flimsy for the crab so they tore very easily. But the staff was awesome. Definitely very fun and welcoming people! They are in their soft opening. Because they aren't fully open yet, they can't serve alcohol yet. Eventually, they will have a full bar. I have been there twice and both times were excellent. We've had the Scallops, Dungeness Crab, Crawfish, with corn, sausage and potatoes (in various combinations). Everything is wonderful. My favorite has been the crab. It comes out perfectly cooked and with their Spicy sauce if so flavorful. Cracking the claws is part of the experience and I really loved the entire thing. The scallops aren't small but aren't the huge ones. They are really tender and flavorful. We had those with the garlic butter sauce. The sauce was a drop salty, but other than that, perfect. We got this our second time there and the sauce was perfect. Their crawfish and shrimp (shrimp in shell) are not cleaned as they are in shell. I'm used to ordering these items this way, but for folks never having a boil with in shell, this might be a surprise. I wish their bar was open because a beer would have been perfect. They also have cold-rolled ice cream. They are experimenting with this. We split this dessert and we were surprised at how good it was. The texture is not creamy like a scoop of ice cream, but the flavor was AWESOME. We had the cookies and cream. We will be back to try everything on this menu. Great addition to Grayslake. read more

I love this place! I visited this restaurant last week and between my girlfriend and I our total bill was $98.00. Sure, this can be an expensive place to visit, but seafood isn't cheap. I was very happy with what I got. I ordered dungeness crab, shrimp, mussels, corn, and potato. I asked for my order to be VERY SPICY and IT WAS! I was impressed at how spicy it was because I am constantly ordering "very" spicy things that my 5 year old can eat. This was actually VERY SPICY. The place was very clean and there is enough parking. The only thing I would change about this place is possibly having them add a non-seafood option for those people (who don't like seafood) accompanying us seafood lovers. Very sold seafood boil experience. We went during their "soft opening" week and you can tell they are still trying to find their "sea legs" *zing* but their flavors are really good. We tried the mussels in lemon garlic, snow-crab with Cajun spices, shrimp with Cajun, and with potato and sausage in with the crab and shrimp. Everything was cooked great and the seasoning was great. I would skip the snow-crab next time and stick with picks that go better with the spices. The shrimp was great and the mussels were big and tasty too. They are typically quick and hardly a wait if you place your to go order in the restaurant. Highly recommend the snow crab, shrimp and make it three with the scallops or mussels. Top off with an order of sausage (about 4 nice bites) and potato. Cajun seasoning by itself is great, still looking for the go to combo of mixing the other two in; lemon pepper and butter garlic. I'm not sure if they are a little pricey or that's just seafood and we are in the Midwest. I feel like the only thing making it a five star is knock out flavor. It's so good but feels like it's missing something that would put it over the top. That said, my wife just mentioned that was some of the best crab she's ever had. My family and I went this weekend to check them out on Sunday night. They did a good job with the interior. Was sushi and is now changed to seafood theme it looks good. We had the shrimp rice - very good! The pasta - not good at all. The server was very un-helpful on walking us through the menu as we asked how thing worked. Not worth the money. It it was my 1st and definitely my last time at Crab & Grab. I got the Tribeca bag with scallops shrimp lobster crab sausage potatoes corn and calamari on the side. The flavor was great exactly as described not too spicy. Scallops were fresh everything was great but the shrimps, the shrimps were dirty and if you eat shrimp you know what I mean when I say dirty. The shrimp tasted funny, a dinner for 2 $100 expensive but understandable IF you love the food. I didn't love the food I enjoyed it but I wouldn't go back. For a basic summary, Price was high but it's seafood soooo. Interior was very nice and the staff was attentive and quick when they weren't being stormed. I really wanted to try the ramen but settled for the shrimp and scallop boiled bag. I got the 3 choice spicing and it was spicy alright. I had to finish at home with water near by!!
