A Truly Wonderful Experience -- Kristen Is Amazing! I can't say enough good things about Kristen! My husband surprised me with a last-minute haircut and color before our wedding and told me it was his gift to me. I called around to several salons with no luck until I reached Kristen. I explained the situation to her, and even though she was fully booked, she took the time to call me back just 15 minutes later to let me know she had rearranged her schedule so she could fit me in. That alone spoke volumes about the kind of person she is. From the moment I arrived, Kristen was so kind, warm, and genuine. She even texted me directions and a map beforehand so I wouldn't have any trouble finding her studio, which is absolutely beautiful, right off Tualatin Lake with a stunning view. Over the next couple of hours, we talked, laughed, and shared stories like old friends. It didn't just feel like getting my hair done, it felt like spending time with someone who truly cared. Not only did my hair turn out perfect (the color and trim were exactly what I wanted!), but I left feeling lighter, happier, and so grateful for the experience. Love this salon! I see Sarah here and she's always great at providing exactly what I want and need. I have difficult hair and she is happy to work with me and try to work with what I have. I started adding Brazilian blowouts to my treatment and couldn't be happier! I even take my 5 year old here and Sarah is amazing with kids. The location here is excellent, with the lovely lake out the windows. And the decor is so chic to boot. read more

It's a down-to-earth boutique with a high quality hair product line, thoughtful stylists and neighborhood feel right here in the burbs. First, my hair lives again! That is all thanks to Kristen. This was my first time going to Wild Collective. I was so appreciative that they could fit me in last minute. That was a huge plus. But then, Kristen was just amazing. Her demeanor, her skill - all of it. I have long, thick, course hair that usually stymies many hair stylists. It takes them a while to methodically work through each strand, and even then, it does not always turn out like they (or I) expected or hoped for. I don't even know what Kristen did, she was so fast. So, to be very clear, I never got my hair cut here. However, I really wanted to! I loved the statements on their website about education and passion for hair cutting and they had great reviews! However, I tried to book my appointment as a first time customer three days ago, along with my credit card info, only to be told that I would receive a confirmation. This was in the morning, and nothing happened all day. I figured that's ok, maybe they were busy with customers all day. Nothing! The next day was Veterans Day, and I still didn't hear back, so I called and left a voicemail. Nothing! Weird, I thought, maybe they took the day off for the holiday. They could still check messages on their day off maybe, but nope, nothing. I emailed last night, and as of 12:30 right now, still not a peep from these ladies. How many avenues do I have to go down myself as a potential customer to merely confirm an appointment, especially with my credit card info on file? It's very worrisome. I didn't want to show up and not get my haircut, and waste my time when I could have booked another much needed appointment, or get charged for no reason for not showing up when it was never confirmed. I see that on this Yelp in March they say they were closed, but why does their website allow for bookings if they're closed? All in all, very frustrating and disappointing. I'm hoping to get an appointment ASAP somewhere else and now I'm left scrambling because I waited so long on these folks. read more

I've had the pleasure of having my hair cut and colored by Kristen several times and have never been disappointed. She is thoughtful, well informed and genuinely skilled at her craft. She bends over backwards for her clients and will shuffle her own schedule to make time to accomodate appointments. My complaint is the same as the review before mine... I made an appointment request days ago and never even heard back about whether or not my appointment was confirmed. Also, their website allows you to make an appointment but contradicts what their Yelp page says about being closed for the foreseeable future. I don't know, I just feel that a professional business should be clear about working hours and follow up with appointment requests. I'm actually bummed, I was looking forward to getting my hair done here but I have already cancelled my "appointment request" and booked with another salon that was more than happy to accommodate me and followed through! read more

I live an hour away and Kristen always manages to get me in , even if it means she stays late (she doesn't have to tell me she's staying late , I just know she is ) Wild Collective is who I missed most during the shut down . I was desperate for my hair fix and needed my Stylist. Once they reopened Kristen was quick to reach out and make my appointment. Went to this salon twice with my fiancé. The first time that we went, we both had highlights done to our hair and generally liked the results. The second time was with a different stylist that was one of the owners. My fiancé's hair was badly fried from this experience. In addition to chemical burns on her head, the "platinum" highlights were almost non-existent. After this was done, I called the salon regarding the problem and we went back to see if they could fix it. I will give the person credit that had done the hair. She did offer to fix it. Unfortunately, my fiancé no longer had any trust in the establishment and refused to attend another appointment. I believe that this cost us $120. I also had my hair done and my hair didn't look highlighted but I didn't feel it looked horrible. So overall we spent $240 and neither of us got what we wanted. Just can't bring myself to recommend this place as I have had to spend another $500 trying to fix my fiancés hair and it is still not done. Just a bad experience. read more
