Excellent service | Friendly | Amazing hair color by Grismey…read more Grismey is a very experienced and professional hair stylist! I told her I wanted a natural brown highlight that maintained my previous color and she made me feel so beautiful by the time we were done! I don't know how she did it, but she blended my brown highlight into my natural dark black hair to compliment my skin tone perfectly. It wasn't brassy, not reddish, it is this perfect shade that looks natural and still beautiful when it grows out. I also enjoyed talking to her throughout our session! The whole process, from booking to styling my hair, was perfect. I feel so confident going to see her now for any of my hair needs. Thank you, Grismey!! *Shelby moved so I was referred to Grismey. A Truly Wonderful Experience -- Kristen Is Amazing!…read more I can't say enough good things about Kristen! My husband surprised me with a last-minute haircut and color before our wedding and told me it was his gift to me. I called around to several salons with no luck until I reached Kristen. I explained the situation to her, and even though she was fully booked, she took the time to call me back just 15 minutes later to let me know she had rearranged her schedule so she could fit me in. That alone spoke volumes about the kind of person she is. From the moment I arrived, Kristen was so kind, warm, and genuine. She even texted me directions and a map beforehand so I wouldn't have any trouble finding her studio, which is absolutely beautiful, right off Tualatin Lake with a stunning view. Over the next couple of hours, we talked, laughed, and shared stories like old friends. It didn't just feel like getting my hair done, it felt like spending time with someone who truly cared. Not only did my hair turn out perfect (the color and trim were exactly what I wanted!), but I left feeling lighter, happier, and so grateful for the experience. Kristen went above and beyond in every way. I truly feel like I've found not just a stylist for life, but a new friend. Thank you, Kristen, for your kindness, talent, and heart. You made me feel so beautiful and cared for right before one of the most special moments of my life.

After reading Yelp reviews I decided to book with Melissa at Studio 23. She was very sweet with my daughter and did a consultation to make sure she understood what my daughter wanted. After the cut she styled it and boy was my daughter so happy! We have gone back one other time and have another appointment coming up. We live in the Clackamas area so it's a good 40 mins to get to her studio but so worth it! Place is easy to find, it's a nice building with a bunch of other little studios on it. So that's cool too. There's also a Starbucks across the street that I go to before I bring my daughter in.

Besides her warm smile, one of first observations of Melissa is she is and always has been clean with her workstation. This not only stands out for sanitary reasons but it demonstrates she really loves what she does. Melissa is very passionate about the footprint she leaves on this Earth. She supports this by offering her clients a variety of products with less chemicals and doesn't do certain services that doesn't support this passion. Melissa is the only one who has done my hair for the past three years and I have NEVER had a bad experience. Her color and cuts keep my locks healthy and well managed. I get many compliments on my hair even WEEKS after I have seen her. I have NEVER had Melissa cancel on me. In fact I have cancelled in her NUMEROUS times and she has never been anything but gracious and understanding. I think in three years she has charged me TWICE for missing my appointments, and believe me there have been NUMEROUS times. I have seen that she has cancelled days herself for being sick, but I would APPRECIATE if she cancelled on me if she was sick. I use to HATE going to my hairdresser in the past only to learn she was sick and didn't tell me until it was too late. Melissa has never been late either, I have NEVER had to wait for her because she was running late with another client. On a personal level I adore that our conversations are real, she is a caring person and is the ONLY hairdresser I have been to (I'm 40 years old) who doesn't sit and gossip about those around her or other clients. She is truly a great person with a FANTASTIC talent. If you are looking for a great hairdresser, look no further~ Melissa is the one for you!
