My standards were surpassed for a bargain haircut here. A person with neon green bangs cut my hair, I did not catch their name, and they were super attentive to my inspiration pictures and what I wanted. I got exactly the cut I was looking for and they asked preferences and directions through every aspect of the cut. I got a look I'm so happy with, and the price was just the cherry on top. read more

horrible. reserved a haircut they said they would text us when there was 15 minutes before. 3 hours later and NO text. workers were rude and did not help us. i am mad that we got no text when our hair cut was ready. very upset read more

I went in just for shampoo and blow dry, no styling. The sign said $12, when done she said I owed $42! I showed her the sign for $12, I was told she styled it. No this is not styled, too bad $42. Total rip off. read more

It was first and last time for us to come to this place . Donna is kinda of person has some issues . Horrible customer service and aggressive attitude towards even the kids ( my kid five years old told me that lady not nice with me ) . And what adding salt on the wound , the haircut was bad enough to not come again . read more

Interesting place. They have this "haircut exchange" program for those who cannot afford a "traditional" haircut. If you are running low on cash, they have a section of the salon portioned off for patrons to give each-other free haircuts. An excellent idea in theory, but both "customers" have to cut each other's hair at the same-time. I found it difficult to cut the other person's hair while she was cutting mine. Three Stars, would be Four Stars if they allowed you to take turns during the hair cut exchange. read more

Great Clips - Hair Salons Near Me - Tualatin, Oregon

I consistently have great experience at the Tualatin location. They're a step above other Greatclips locations. I went in today to try a new hairstyle after two years without a haircut, and Donna gave me the best haircut of my life! I'm not sure how this location finds such awesome talent but I appreciate it very much and I recommend this location in particular for an affordable, excellent haircut and a pleasant experience. read more

I was originally going to get my hair cut and colored in Portland but had a shortage of money due to needing to get my car fixed :( I had the day off and really had to get my haircut today and I had no car. This was within walking distance of my apartment. I was nervous about getting a cheap haircut but I was relieved when I got to my chair. The lady that cut my hair really understood what I was asking for and she took her time to give me a really great haircut. I might come here more for trims or like today when I didn't have my typical as an option. read more

I don't honestly understand what shop you guys are running there. I got a cut and it was exactly the same as when I entered. My brother got a cut and he had places where he had scalp showing on the back of his head. Why is it that you think this is professional? Do you think that hiring people who are unaware and completely careless is okay? This isn't the first time this has happened too, I will never come back and I will never recommend this place. Go to Y-Chrome in Portland gents! You'll get a great cut and super pro service. read more

Donna gave me a decent haircut. However, her attitude towards people who are "seniors" and have trouble navigating the online check-in is terrible. When I tried to explain to her that there are people who don't have easy access to technology (an older person had come in and hadn't checked in online and was obviously hesitant--ended up leaving,) she started talking over me and never stopped. She said they "have a choice" and if they "choose" not to use the technology they're being "entitled." Donna has an extremely ageist attitude. She wouldn't allow me--an "older" person--to even express an opinion (or a sentence) and obviously used the word "entitled" as a weapon. Sad. I've used Great Clips many times over the years, including this store. No more. If your hair is gray--stay away. read more

I doubt I will be back. I felt like the staff had attitude. My daughter asked me to tell them what she wanted, she is very shy and finds it difficult to communicate with new people. They seemed upset that I would do this for her, and didn't want to try her ideas. Worse, we felt rushed. We were the only 2 customers in the store, but I think it was getting near closing time and they wanted to go home. Interesting since the store manager was on site. There was nothing here to recommend a return visit. read more

Honestly- I often spend over $60 for a cut and the last time I did I came here to fix it.... and they fixed it. $18 plus tip and 20 minutes later I finally have the cut I wanted.... The manager was AWESOME and Tan is magic.... I will for sure be coming back here! read more

Their most talented hair stylists and best in customer service are the ones that leave. Almost every other time I go in, I see a new face. So almost every other time I go in, I'm worried about getting a bad haircut from a new stylist. I've gone to this location for around 2 years, their previous manager was the only reason I kept coming back. She was favored and asked for by a good amount of people that would walk in, but she's gone and the other employees aren't as personable/friendly nor seem to genuinely care. Prices also keep going up while the service stays the same. Constructive criticism for this location's employees? -Treat your guests like you're happy they're there. They're obviously not royalty but they give you a salary, so ask them what they want and be patient if they don't know. You're the expert. If I'm not sure what I want exactly done but I have a rough idea of the look I'm going for, take the reigns and surprise me. - Don't give me the typical script pretending to sound like you care, when all you care about is your paycheck at the end of the day. read more

Donna was outstanding! She listened to what I wanted and cut my hair beautifully! I will definitely be back!

The place gets 4 stars and Angie adds the fifth. I don't like the hassle of getting my haircut. I always wait until it is absolutely out of control. We're talking months. Once I find a good stylist, I stick with them, even though I only see them 3-4 times a year. The best stylist I have found over the years is Angie from this Great Clips location. She is so good, it makes me want to come in every two months, but that is an aspiration that I have not made into reality even though I have been going to Angie for the past 3 years or so. Angie is very good at her job and is a wonderful person in addition. I genuinely like to hear what she and her husband and two cats have been up to. I am glad that she has stayed at this location for so long, because she could easily go to some place that charges 4x the amount of these bargain clippers. BTW, she cuts women and children very well too...now our whole family goes to her. read more

I received a good hair trim but was very disappointed by the ambiance of the stylists. When I arrived there were two women cutting men's hair. I was greeted coldly, and told it would be five minutes. Tam called me over, but again was very cold and expressionless. This caused me to wonder what I possibly did to cause her to behave this way towards me. Well, she explained. I have a lot of thick curly hair. Tam told me that neither if them wanted to cut my hair. I didn't even ask for a blow dry-just a light trim. Though I'm from out of town, I visit Portland often;however, I will never visit Tam or this salon again:( read more

Two managers have left in the four years I have been going here. I check-in online and read #1 and someone walks-in who is not in the queue and takes my spot creating a needless delay. Price for the haircut has been four different amounts in four months. My $10.99 Haircut card is a joke. Being Charged $10.00 for a 4 minute shampoo is a rip. Convenient location is the only saving grace. Johnny QX read more

By far the worst hair destruction my son has ever gotten from an establishment. Stylist shaved the side of his head and trimmed the top with visual lines of the layers then started to dust him off and remove the apron as if she was done. I asked if she could trim the front and taper the back to the picture she was shown from the shop catalog, she insisted on arguing with me in saying that when he uses product it'll look better. I insisted again on fixing the sides and again I was argued with. I asked the other associate to cancel the other three appointments for my older sons to get haircuts and Ill just take him somewhere else to fix it. While waiting 10 minutes of fiddling with her computer she still can't ring me out so I just gave up and flipped a $20 on the counter to save this place from draining the life out of the rest of my day. Save yoursel the time and just head over to Another Barbershop. read more

Tam was great! Fast , Good service there the pros. Thanks Great Clips for a great haircut!

I've been getting my hair cut at this location for several years, and I just started using their App. Today when I checked in on the App it told me the wait was 27 minutes, so at the 9 minute mark I drove over and arrived in under 5 minutes, so my wait should've been under 4 minutes. To my total surprise upon entering the store my name was listed #1 on the check-in board, however the lady said, "We have another customer in front of you. So at least another 10 minute wait." I replied, "How can that be, my name is #1 on your check-in list and I used the app." She said, "Oh, the App isn't an appointment, we just give your spot away to whoever walks into our store." I was totally amazed and left the store. Why have an App that lets you check in, and then you are not going to serve #1 when they enter the store? This policy at Great Clips is a bait and switch, you have been warned. read more

There's an Asian hair dresser who's kinda rude and not professional. I went there twice, I even showed her the picture but still she managed to mess up my hair read more

Thanks to Em, my hair looks much better than it did when I went in with no clue except that I wanted it "shorter." I'm bad about my hair and knowing what I want, so she went through some of the books with me and talked with me until we knew what I wanted. My goal, as always, was something that takes less than 1 minute to deal with in the morning. She showed me some things to make it work but said that I'd have to donate more like 5 minutes each day if I wanted it to look decent. So, I did it her 5 minute way for a few days before reverting back to my old habit of the 1 minute or less way, and it still looks pretty OK. In any case, she actually took the time to listen, checked in with me each step of the way to make sure, gave me some tips and in the end produced something I liked. read more

I have been to this location 3 times. They require you to provide your phone number to check in. Not sure what's the deal here. May be Apple / Android are selling our information ? Either way, I never provide the correct #.. :-) First time: Excellent haircut. I later found out that the person who cut my hair the first time was there "temporarily". Second time: Major disaster. A very rude and unfriendly female cut my hair. It was way too short on the top. I expressed my displeasure clearly and couldn't wait to get out. the rule of hair cut: one can always cut more if the customer requests it. so cut a little less and you can always cut more upon request... That's what I told this female. 3rd time: I made sure I didn't sit with the rude person. I walked away from the Great Clips to avoid her. I came back a few hours later and I think she got the message that I didn't want her touching my hair. With the new person, I made it clear that a little less hair cut is better than too much. And She cuts my hair.. pretty good. but doesn't match. She cut more in the sides than top. Call me picky with my haircut but hey, I am paying for it. I will not be going back to this Chain. I have been looking for a locally owned non chain place and I think I found a few in Tigard area. I will be making the drive to support local business that are non chains.. read more

Worst haircut ever. The only reason I stopped here was because my usual place ( non chain ) was closed and desperately needed a haircut for a work meeting next day. She was nice but clearly did a fast rushed $18 butch job. Not gonna risk complaining about it, so she can screw it up more. Hopefully get it fixed before meeting or explain the hat I'll be wearing. Learned to stay away from franchise places that are clearly overpriced with some employees that seem to be there for practice. read more

It's not that I've been here once, but I've gone here for almost 5 years. I like a buzz cut, sometimes I like a fade, but practically an easy hair cut. I used to love going here, but some of the new hires cannot figure how to do one. If I pay $20 for a buzz, then it should not be looking worse than what I can do by myself in the comfort of my own house. For women, I'm sure it is a different story, but if you're a man looking for a short hair cut I advise you look into an actual barber shop. read more

This isn't the kind of place a supermodel would go to, but it's right for a guy like me. The prices are pretty good and they move pretty fast. I know there are a lot of negative comments here about the app, but I actually think it offers a pretty good estimate of the current wait time, and checking in can save time. Yes, you may have to wait a little bit, maybe even a little longer than the estimate, but if you pay attention it is not hard to avoid super-long waits. read more

Your app is garbage. I literally checked in and it said 1 min for me to be next. I watched a person walk in before I got out of my car and they bumped him up. If you have long hair, I do not recommend having Tami do your hair. I asked her to cut about six inches off and put in some layers. The finished product was a lot of short layers and then a four inch gap to the bottom of my hair. I now have the shortest hair I've ever had in my adult life, not by choice. read more

I have had decent experiences at other Great Clips locations over the years, but I was surprised to find such a talented, friendly, wise, and professional stylist at the Tigard, Oregon, location. I just went in for a relatively cheap haircut and received such exuberant and kind welcome from staff. As a whole, the stylists create a wonderful environment and every other customer I've seen there seems very satisfied and relaxed while there. I love talking with my stylist as she works because she is funny, sensible, and even provides helpful insights and wise counsel. I'm pleased and grateful for the quality of care I receive. read more
