And she absolutely loved everything about this place and the massage itself...super relaxing (her words)! While I want to give them 5 stars, scheduling the appointment was a headache. I scheduled the massage way in advance, but I had to reschedule it to accommodate my mom's every changing schedule. I would like to think, if I kept the original appointment. as is, then I would have experienced no issues. Yes, issues exist from time to time, beyond ones control, but the customer service I received for weeks was super unappreciated. After the runaround and a cancellation 30 minutes before the appointment.. Yes!! I was in route to the appointment and received a call 30 minutes before (appointment scheduled weeks in advance) and the young lady advised "we will have to reschedule your massage because ______ has left for the day. I was super annoyed! But after I calmed down and rescheduled... all went well. My mom had an appointment on a Friday afternoon and my babe had an appointment on a Saturday early evening. They both gave the massage 5 stars and look forward to returning super soon. This venue is located in the heart of Phoebus, a historic area in Hampton. There are several mom and pop shops nearby. This venue is also owned by those that own Mango Mangeaux restaurant that is walking distance from the spa. They also have a boutique hotel that's now open for business. Once we arrived, we were immediately greeted. My mom was asked to fill out paperwork before services were rendered. We were offered fruit infused water. I loved the smell of the spa...smelled refreshing and was super inviting. And I love the orange color concept. I was tempted to schedule an appointment just based on the ambiance. I would highly recommend you all try this place. There is only one masseuse and she offers massages for men and women. Check Groupon you may find a discount there. They offer other spa services as well. Make sure you schedule your appointment way in advance. Weekends tend to fill up super quick. They will also call to confirm your appointment a day or two in advance. Just a note, if you run into concerns of no return calls after leaving several voicemail messages, reach out to the restaurant and ask to speak to a Manager. I resulted to that after a week of no return phone calls and I received a call within 24 hours from the spa. Free parking is available on the street. I do not believe a parking garage is nearby. But visiting the spa on a weekend and a weekday parking was not an issue. Have fun and enjoy life!

The inside of the place was very nice and the staff was all welcoming. They immediately got me some cold water while I filled out my waiver. My aesthetician who's name I want to say was Jenelle was very attentive. She asked about any skin care concerns I had, be sure to note any products you are actively using on your skin. My facial was very soothing and relaxing and the spa is kept at a quiet volume so there are no interruptions. I will definitely be back for a massage and more facials in the future!

It was the older man who did my nails. Everything was OK initially. He assumed I wanted gel color and when I told him I wanted regular polish. It was like I offended him. He didn't have me wash my hands before polishing my nails. He slapped on the polish sloppy and then had me go to the dryer section. While I was drying, there was a woman behind me getting a pedicure. Same thing happened to her. She was trying to explain that she didn't want gel color on her toes. Then a separate person who wasn't the one doing her nails came over and was being very pushy, trying to convince her to get gel. Thankfully the woman was firm and got regular. The man helping her had an attitude while going to get the color she had chosen. I was also getting ready for an upcoming vacation, so I wanted my toes to look nice. Unfortunately, that was not the experience I received. The technician who performed my pedicure seemed to be in a rush, apparently because another client was scheduled after me. However, that should never affect the quality of service provided to a paying customer. Throughout my appointment, I politely asked several times for her to clean up mistakes, including nail polish that was clearly left on my cuticles. Each time, I remained respectful. The final time I asked, she let out an obvious sigh and displayed an unnecessary attitude. I calmly explained that I didn't deserve to be treated that way and that I was simply asking for my pedicure to be done correctly. I'm paying for a service, and I don't think it's unreasonable to expect attention to detail. In fact, I had every intention of leaving a generous tip before her attitude changed the entire experience. After I addressed her behavior, she suddenly became much friendlier, repeatedly offering my daughter a drink (even though she already had one) and offering me a hot towel several times. At that point, the damage had already been done, and I declined. I came in expecting a peaceful, enjoyable experience and instead left feeling stressed and disappointed. Professionalism and customer service are just as important as the quality of the work, and unfortunately, this visit lacked both. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this salon. I am now forced to also pay and find someone else to correct this horrendous nail job.
