This place was damn near empty on a Friday while all of the other nail shops in the area were super busy. I now know why they weren't. I asked for a full set. It was the older man who did my nails. Everything was OK initially. He assumed I wanted gel color and when I told him I wanted regular polish. It was like I offended him. He didn't have me wash my hands before polishing my nails. He slapped on the polish sloppy and then had me go to the dryer section. While I was drying, there was a woman behind me getting a pedicure. Same thing happened to her. She was trying to explain that she didn't want gel color on her toes. Then a separate person who wasn't the one doing her nails came over and was being very pushy, trying to convince her to get gel. Thankfully the woman was firm and got regular. The man helping her had an attitude while going to get the color she had chosen. I paid with a small tip (I wasn't going to give a proper tip with my nails not being up to my satisfaction) and I was just trying my best to get out before my irritation got the best of me. I've gone here forever a few years now and had a good experience. I always go to Spring, but Sloan does a great job too. My nails don't break and she doesn't rush. I do make an appointment but she also takes walk-ins, although it can get quite busy. read more

Took my girlfriend here to get her nails done for her birthday, was told when I called ahead that there was no wait for her to just come on in. That wasn't the case, but that's fine. We waited. We were then told it would be $25 for her to get an acrylic full set, but were told after the nails were put on that it would be forty. The sign located on the wall even says that a full set is $25. She chose regular polish, not gel, and nothing special done to them. Seems to me like the employees set their own prices based on the client. read more

Here is the honest truth. My family has been going to their nail salon for years. We personally know the employees especially the top most recommended employees, which are the two sisters and the husband of the younger sister. their work and skills are exceptional. however, I started going to them when I was 11. I am 19 now as I said befire, my family was going to them before I was. All though the work is good, the employees are extremely insensitiv, they can be very rude, and the service can be really bad. Unless you schedule an appointment, do not ever except to for your appointment to start one time. Even if you set an appointment, more times than most they will be starting someone else's because they purposefully double book. Even growing up, there were times where they would take advantage of me if I came by myself without my mom. Again, they do a good job but the service and how they handle business is why I give them a 2 star rating. read more

I have been going here since they opened for pedicures because I already had a gel fingernail girl but when she moved away I started getting my gel nails done here as well (Casey does a magnificent job!) I am surprised at all of the negative comments on here because they have always been very friendly and courteous. I did get a nail fungus from a salon years ago before I started coming here and actually lost a toenail because of it. These girls make a great acrylic replacement nail. I'm really surprised to see some of the low ratings because I've been going here exclusively for 5 years! There's no nail shop in the area that can touch this shop. The facility is very clean, the prices are fair, the quality is on 1000. The sisters do a great job of running the business and making sure they accommodate their customers. Went in to have a nail repair done. I waited 20+ minutes only to have 2 ladies who came in after me helped first. Then I was charged $5 for ONE nail repair when the sign clearly says $3. This was my first time here. I did call ahead but walk ins are welcome. I had an excellent experience starting with a classic pedicure done by Mary. She was very sweet and gave an excellent massage of my feet and legs. I also had my acrylic nails removed and replaced by Ty. He did a great job. The prices are lower than other places I called. The only reasons they get one star is because there is no way to give zero stars and Trina is great. However, that manager Gwen is rude !!! Once I declined, Gwen and another girl proceed to talk about me in their language... RUDE! Their tone was even rude when trying to persuade me to get a full set like either you're going to do my nails or not because I will leave. As Gwen did my nails, she was not gentle and acted as she had an attitude. I have had my run-ins with her before so I try to stay clear to avoid having to go there with her but she definitely does not need to be in a managerial position. From now on, if Trina is not available I will wait until I can take my talents back to Maryland. Let's not forget how if your nail breaks within a day they try to blame and charge you, had it not been rushed, maybe it would have lasted. Customer service does not exist... Found this place when I moved to the area. Normally I drive to Norfolk to get the level of services I desire. I've been going here over 6 months now, and every time the service is going down. One lady always do my nails, I usually request her, but her attitude isn't the best either but she does great nails. Today will be my last time going here, they're so focused on other customers walking in, and the ones walking out rather than the customers in their chair. Don't bother making an appointment! A friend of mine highly recommended this location, so I went in on a Wednesday to make an appointment for Friday at 1:30 with Ty ( The only man in the shop). I get to the salon on Friday at my scheduled appointment, and he is "finishing up" with his client, who came to her appointment late. No problem; I can soak my feet longer. 15 minutes go by and he's still "finishing up". I asked how much longer & received the canned salon response, "he'll be finished in 10minutes". The woman who sits at the front station proceeded to tell me that sometimes this happens, to which I replied, there needs to be some type of courtesy when you have a scheduled appointment especially for first-time customers to ensure that enough time is given. The smart thing of them would've been to call me to tell me that he was running behind. He yelled over "let her go", as if to say I don't want to do her feet anyway. Never again will I go back to that location. Total time wasted: 30 minutes! They're definitely not up to code (purple pumice stones clearly haven't been purchased in eons, considering they're all worn down, sitting in the so-called disinfectant oven, waiting to transfer bacteria to the next persons feet!). My advice: there are plenty of nail salons that are worth the distance and the time. Don't go to a salon just based on convenience.
