I usually go to the one out by me in Rochester Hills, but this one seems way nicer! Walking in, there's tons of stuff to choose from. They have a super nice dog wash area and I think a grooming zone too. The selection here's top notch, and way better than the one I go to. The pet food selections great, but I didn't see the cat food that I needed, but they do have an awesome selection of litter boxes and litter options to choose from. Tons of toys at reasonable prices, crates for dogs, reptiles, fish, ferrets for sale, you name it. The staff here's friendly and helpful too. I was shopping in the cat toy area and a lady asked if I needed help or had any questions. She also rang me up when I checked out too! Overall a great store and impressive with selection and quality. Will return in the future. Oh, and they have a bin for donations in the front of the store for the Macomb County Animal place!

My most recent visit they didn't have 2 wet cat food items I was looking for so I walked in and walked out. It has become kind of a frequent occurrence in this regard and I often try to check what's in stock at this location before wasting my time going in but it is always wrong OR the item just isn't stocked at the store despite having it. Will be taking my business a bit further to Petco instead going forward.

There's baby bunnies, tortoises, reptiles, little critters, and even birds. Don't forget about a wide assortment of pet toys, treats, food and supplies for every pet need as well. My dogs LOVE that they carry Tall Tail dog toys. Everything is priced just right too! What makes Lou's unique is they offer a lot of fun education and learning opportunities for anyone in the community. Children can volunteer at Lou's to instill a great work ethic at a young age. This also allows your kids to learn about nature and what it takes to own a pet. Stop in today and spend a few hours exploring every inch of Lou's. You won't regret it.

Just visiting is like going to a small zoo. Over the years they've had giant fish, snapping turtles, tortoises, pythons, giant rabbits, lizards, chameleons, and even a ring tailed Lemur. The less ornery ones even wander the shop. I enjoy asking the tortoise questions about aquarium equipment like hes a helpful employee. Just watch out buying aquarium plants, theyre healthy, but you might have some snail stragglers. (Two years later I still find them in my tank and thats on me for not quarantining properly)

They had a lot more dog items than any other item it seemed. There was rows and rows of dog toys, food, beds, accessories, etc. We went to the cat section after and there wasn't as many food options yet, but we saw a lot of the big named popular cat food anyway. We even found our brand that we use. The best part was walking over to the wet food. We found Tiki Cat wet food - hardest cat wet food to find anywhere. No one has it. We have checked the major pet stores and other stores we shop at as well. You can only buy it online and it is rated as one of the healthiest by multiple vets. We decided to buy the two different options to try it out and see if our cats love it. They had quite a few cat toys, and some really cheap options. Across from the food, near the register, we saw rice and mice for sale, super cheap. They were adorable. Right above them, they had cute birds. These are the only live animals they have in store - no dog/cat adoption. I really enjoyed two other sections of the store. The fish area surprised me with LED tanks or Glow tanks - something my little sister would love. Quite a few of them came with a set that included rocks and a few decorations, along with a filter. It makes it easier to have everything you need, and with different designs. I loved the rocks they had as well. Another section was the bird feeder area. They had really pretty bird feeders and large bags of different bird food. They also had tiny little hanging food items or discs that were super cheap. We saw gourmet food items for critters, including birds. I am excited to buy a few in the spring. I was amazed to see wildlife food, like corn, for deers. I did not expect to see it. The employees at the register are very friendly, and were happy to hear I was excited about the wet food options. I am hoping they will bring in different kinds in the future! Looking forward to stopping by in the future.
