I boarded 5 birds for a week. Everyone was happy, healthy, well fed and relaxed. The staff were excellent. I accidentally let one bird out when moving her into the carrier. Everyone had their place. One woman made sure no one came in. Another staff member made sure she didn't go into the cage of a cockatoo and the third person helped me get her. I'll ONLY board here from now on! Stopped by for some bulk treats and got captivated by the feathered friends and the kind employees! You can tell the birds are well taken care of, food and water changed daily and the newspaper on the bottom of the cages changed often as well. Very knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. I also love hearing people get educated before adopting and that Parrotzville wants the best for the birds in their care. I will be returning!!! read more

Dude it was crazy cool. Went in just to see what was going on. Tons of huge birds all over. And everything looked super clean. Super fun.

Wow - what an experience! My husband and I wandered in here randomly a month or so ago and had no idea what to expect. Initially we were thinking there would be bird supplies and maybe an actual bird or two - boy were we wrong. There were tons of birds of all different kinds including several large & colorful Macaws. Many of the birds were on perched in the open air, i.e. not in cages although several others birds were in cages. The atmosphere was other worldly as I was surround by maybe 50+ exotic birds several of which were squawking at a deafening volume One thing that was odd was there didn't seem to be any staff in sight the entire time. Although it was hard to tell... there were 3 other people in the store with us and 2 were a very friendly couple who I thought worked their initially but I later found out they were just knowledgeable, friendly people. The 3rd person may have been an employee but was just wearing regular street clothes and never asked if we needed help or anything so who knows. One thing rally worried me though - several of the birds had large patches of missing feathers which is apparently a sign of stress and while the store is somewhat large it's teeny in terms of giving birds adequate space as they'd have in their natural environment - although I think most/all of the birds wings are clipped so they can't fly anyway I *think* or at least I assume with the larger birds that were out of cages like the Macaws... however, I don't really know enough about pet birds to feel confident in my opinions. I just really hope the owners are taking great care of these birds. In addition to birds being for sale apparently they had several birds being boarded/babysat while their owners were presumably out of town or something. That's a cool service to offer but from my recollection the boarded birds were among the worst in terms of stressed out / patches of missing feathers - maybe that's unavoidable... I don't know much about bird psychology haha Anywho, it was such a unique store / experience I definitely want to go back & bring my family / friends. I also forgot to take ANY pictures so I'd like to take & post some soon. And I also kind of want to check in & make sure the birds seem well cared for. read more

I've seen this place for a couple months now. Wondered what it really was. Me and my daughters 8 & 10 were wasting some time before an apt. And decided to go in. What an amazing place! The woman that was in there originally was only us and her. She introduced us to quite a few birds that had awesome personalities! They got a bit busier as we stayed and seemed to be great with their customers. We do not own a bird but love them and this place was really cool. read more

I have brought my cockatiel to Parrotzville to be boarded during the holiday weekend. It was the first time we have even considered boarding our pet and I am happy to report that he did very well. When we dropped him off, we noticed he went straight towards his food dish and gave us some kissy sounds. We picked him up right after the holiday and he acted like he was never away from home. Personally, I think he enjoyed his vacation with his feathered friends instead of human family members. Will definitely board him again. They also carry food, cuttlebones, millet, seed, toys, etc.. There prices are very good and I usually help them out by contributing to the donation jar because they do such a wonder thing for birds that are rescued. This is now my go to place for my birds needs. Keep up the great work you do Parrotzville! read more

I have heard of Parrotzville for awhile, and wanted to take a look at the place if I ever had the need to board my conure. The place is as big as my house, and chock full of visiting birds. They keep the place clean and neat, the birds seem to be happy and well cared for. They do have one room reserved for birds that have been given up, and are looking for homes. The day I was there, they had five finches, about a dozen parakeets, and five ring-necked doves looking for homes. I was quite impressed with the facility, the employees that I spoke with ( two of them were quite friendly), and will more than likely use them if I ever have a need to. It's not the easiest place to find, but know that it's located in a strip mall right behind the Olga's Kitchen. read more

Princing is inconsistant for trims every time I go. Apparently it depends on the tech, not whats posted. Or sometimes who is ringing you up. My Umbrella Cockatoo comes out looking like she went thru the ringer...feathers that were perfect before, are shot to hell afterward. Just how rough is she being toweled for a nail trim? Warning to anyone who relenquishes a bird and cage to them...its all about profit. This is a business, not a rescue. Your bird is sold for a huge sum that even breeders don't charge for a young hatchling. Used cages are priced more than new. Its one thing to run a business, its another to do so compassionately. I kept hoping my experience would improve, it has not. I'm done. read more

Amazing place! Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable, store was extremely clean. If you are looking to adopt a large bird, this would be my first stop. I was blown away by the number of birds they had. You could spend hours in this store just looking at the beauty in each bird. We were lucky enough to get stories about how some of the birds ended up there. Thank you for educating us. This store is a gem! read more
