They are both so sweet and smart, & the cockatiel is my soulmate. He's also a talker, and prolific musical composer. He's a GENIUS. Our conure is also a cool chap; he's my son's bird. The reason these birds are so great? The wonderful ladies and gentlemen of The Bird Shoppe A lot of places will tell you "Of course we hand-feed our birds!" and "Of course you can come in and see them whenever you want!" and "Of course we don't overbreed to the point where you'll be receiving an unhealthy Hapsburg parrot!"--but they're not being truthful with you. But here, it is true. All the ladies of T.B.S. are saints, Anne, Beth, Paula, absolutely everyone. They are so full of knowledge & suggestions. I spent a summer pestering them with questions, & they always helped. And Joe and his birds are legendary. Try to meet Elvis or Hannibal--absolutely hilarious. They have a ton of food in stock, and toys, perches, and sometimes cages for sale as well. Even if you've no plans to adopt a bird from them, but have a bird of your own, you should definitely visit. They have a rewards programs where you buy 12 bags of food and get the 13th free. You'll be given a card to keep track of the purchase it's not digital yet. Unlike some other stores, they have bulk baked treats for purchase. If your one of those types to have birthday celebration for your pet, they have decorated cookies that will do great. Room for improvement? Trash can outside, as there is nowhere to put used pet waste bags.

He's normally an expensive groom, and he really just needed a bath so this was the ticket. They have 2 wash basins and even a walk in shower for bigger dogs as well. Mine fit no problems in the shorter larger tub. It has a panel that slides in and out so your pooch can jump up and down into it. They also have suction cup leashes to attach to the wall to keep them there. You control the temp with hot and cold taps. I do wish they nozzle had an option for a little more pressure, as again, thick coated dog, but it did what needed to be done. They offered 3 types of shampoos; an oatmeal and shea butter one, a lavender one, and a smelly dog one. I choose smelly dog, as he was one lol. It really did the trick too! They also supply towels and aprons for you, and an air dryer. It's just regular air, not hot so helps get the excess water out of their coat. They also give you cotton balls to put in their ears if you don't trust yourself to not get water in them. It cost $12 and they clean up afterwards! They seem to have specials where you can get 5 washes for $50, so not a bad deal. I would have liked a brush, but I just bought one that I needed anyways. Their pricing here is a little higher in my opinion but not outrageous on supplies. They also have a bakery for fresh dog treats! They looked really good too, and my pup was definitely wanting to sniff them! We decided on a bone assortment though for my pup being a good boy, and he even got a treat from the super helpful super nice employees! I definitely will be back here when I don't need a full groom on my dog as it's so much easier and less cleanup than trying to do it at home!
