The sandwich was huge and delightfully messy thanks to the avocado, tomato, and mayo, so have plenty of napkins at the ready! The thick and crispy corncob-smoked bacon was so good I wished I'd ordered extra. The fries were a perfect portion, crispy outside and pillowy inside. Oh, and the house sauce, maybe a mayo + sriracha blend, was great for dipping fries and sandwich corners. I was too full to eat my Buffalo salad with blue cheese dressing, and chicken tenders until the next day. I ordered it tossed with heavy dressing and it was perfect. Accompanied by a nice piece of baguette, the seasoning had the smack of Buffalo sauce tamed by the blue cheese and enhanced by the crispy chicken and celery slices. Every bite was yummy. It was very good. The first couple of sips were very sweet, I think because they didn't mix it well so all of the vanilla syrup was sitting on top. Once I got it mixed in it was much better. The temperature was good, it was quite hot, but not so much that it burned my mouth. Overall a good experience, we will be back. The location is absolutely adorable as this is a historic house. It was once a Dunn Brothers, but I do love that it is its own thing now rather than a chain. They had a outdoor patio that people were enjoying but it was a bit chilly for working and sitting outside, one person even had a dog which I LOVE! Inside the front door you are greeted with a welcoming counter that you can order. I opted to try the salted caramel iced latte. If you are consuming there (which I was) they give you a number to bring to your table and they bring the drink. I really liked this idea especially in the aspect of not having to stand and wait for a drink. The price was a bit high (7.55 for a 16 oz with $1 tip), but then again everything is getting expensive these days. I walked back to the seating area and there are essentially 3 rooms downstairs, I walked through all 3 to see where working would be ideal. I went upstairs but there was a woman in the room so I assumed it was a group that was meeting or something so I opted to not investigate further. I found seating downstairs in what felt like the quietest part, but there were a lot of people there talking and the acoustics were not exactly fantastic. I did have a call which I took via teams and air pods and discovered the sound in the room was actually really not awesome for a meeting as it was quite loud and the wifi was not strong enough to support the video on the teams call. So would I recommend working from Smith, not if you have a meeting, but if you are looking for a place that has some background noise, I guess... However this is certainly a place that is perfect for meeting someone and enjoying breakfast or coffee and I love that. This is always a busy place right across from another well-known cafe. There's a small parking lot on the side of the building, otherwise expect residential street parking. They serve one of my favorite matcha lattes called "the classic", they have a few other blends as well. Extra creamy and not too sweet. If you're craving something simple for breakfast the egg bagels hit the spot. It's nothing over the top, just plain ingredients and filling. If you order food and dine in they'll give you a number to take to your table. Great vibes, and a decent amount of seating but if you come during peak hours expect a line to the door!
