I really wanted this place to work. Don't get me wrong the ladies who work here are very nice and seem knowledgeable but unfortunately it seems their shop caters mainly towards the older generations. Not very many options or selections for younger people. Color options was limited as well. If you're of the older demographic this spot might work for you. Parking: in the lot behind the store itself. read more

When my mother "was younger", she bought all of her wigs and wig maintenance supplies (shampoo, conditioners, etc.) from this store. Now that she is older, the staff here really helps me: If a wig is past its useful life, they let me know and sell me a new one. In the interim, they wash and maintain her wigs. All I have to do is drop off & pick up. They really help me take care of my mother, in this respect. read more

My wife has cancer and lost all her hair. We found the perfect wig for her and the cost was very reasonable. It's amazing how real it looks when she's wearing it! Thank you! read more

Wigs Today - Me and June with my new doo! - Wigs Near Me - Lomita, California

I visited Wigs Today this morning, arriving at 10:01am on a Tuesday (they open at 10am). June arrived at 10:08am, which really didn't bother me. I even told her I'd give her a few minutes to get settled. I told June I went through chemo that ended last August (2024), and my hair has been trying to grow in ever since (I just passed the "Chia Pet" stage). A week ago, I was diagnosed with a different type of cancer, and this time I'm expected to lose much more hair. Last time it was "just thinning," this time it will be a lot more. Trying to stay the planner I always am, I went to Wigs Today because of their Yelp reviews and large wig selection. I explained my situation to June. She helped me try on two wigs and asked if I was going to buy today. I told her no, since I might have radiation first (why buy now--better to wait until chemo starts). As soon as I said that, I could feel the shift. She seemed to want to rush me and didn't really want to help me keep looking for the right wig(s). I also wasn't happy with some things. I've never owned a wig. She put three on me, and all of them slipped. I asked several times about glue, and she said no. Finally, she mentioned clips. Then we talked about cleaning, and she told me not to wash the wig--but I saw wig shampoo for sale right there. How does that make sense? She also told me not to brush, just to use my fingers. Maybe that's true, but I need more information. Is this really what people do? In California summer heat, I'm supposed to wear a wig and never wash it? I honestly don't get it. And running my fingers through a wig doesn't feel like brushing--maybe a soft brush is okay? It was just all so confusing. As a potential new wig owner, I left feeling like I got very little guidance. I'll probably need to go to a more reputable wig shop for real answers. Side note: the hours listed on Yelp are not correct. June told me they're open Mon-Sat, 10am-6pm. Please update your listing. read more

Wig Master works here!! She is there Thursday, Friday & Saturday I heard her tell a customer. Learned she's doing this 40-50 yrs!!! Just looking for a little top knot extension to pop on top of my up do. Highlighted blonde hair. She took a Quick Look and grabbed two perfect matches instantly. Hate fussing with my hair, I don't even own a hairdryer! So this quick fix in and out quickly was the BEST! read more

My hair is thinning due to age. I started to become self conscious and embarrassed. My daughter took me to Wigs Today where I met Jun . She gave me options and began choosing some full wigs and something called a topper. Jun was professional, kind and patient. When all was said and done I went with an awesome topper that she trimmed and styled for me. I love it and no one has been able to tell. I will Absolutely return and I highly recommend. Price was more than reasonable. read more

My wife and I visited Wigs Today because a friend of ours loaned my wife one of her wigs and raved about the quality, selection and service here. She spoke so highly about this place that we drove an hour from San Gabriel rather than try someplace local. We were definitely not disappointed. Karen (the owner) is an absolute joy! This was our first experience purchasing wigs and she helped us for over an hour. Trying on wig after wig, we left with a selection that we were so happy with and we had tons of fun choosing them. read more

I walked in to this wig shop the two women that we're working are so accommodating and helpful. I did not buy anything but I could tell that they were having fun and enjoyed working together and helping people. If I ever needed a full wig , I would go back! read more

I was well pleased by the service from a staff named June. Her patience, kindness and professionalism really impressed me. Though it was about 20 minutes before closing on Saturday, she took time to assist me to find a topper and trimmed it for me. Next day I wore it to the church and a fundraising activity, I felt so confident with my new hairdo and no more showing the thin hair top. I highly recommend to shop at Wig Today for wig. read more

I arrived at Wigs Today last week a little apprehensive as to what the process of selecting a wig would be like. I was feeling a bit self conscious about the whole thing. June greeted me and my daughter (moral support) and put us at ease immediately. June is very sweet and was very patient helping us to find something flattering and the right color for my skin tone. When I found one that I was satisfied with June also trimmed the bangs a bit to my liking. I wore the wig right out of the store. It turned out to be a rather fun experience. When my honey saw me a few hours later he whistled, turned me in a circle and said I better get a good head start running, He was going to take a couple of his "special pills' and catch me. Fun day for sure LOL Thanks June read more

They Are always so friendly June helped me today ! The best quality hair I have been coning here for years

If I could leave 0 stars I would! The lady that works there is extremely rude! the whole time she was followed me around the store and those cheap ass wigs are way over priced. I was thinking about buying a blonde wig so I wanted to try it on and she pulled my hair and was extremely rough. DO NOT COME HERE. CHEAP WIGS. OVER PRICED. RUDE ASS LADY. read more

Great selection of wigs, and very knowledgeable in helping you find the right one! My mother was very pleased!

My niece just started her long journey with breast cancer and has her second chemo treatment this week. Wanting to get a jump on the inevitable hair loss we went wig shopping. I must say Judy and Karen at Wigs Today were absolutely wonderful to my niece. So thoughtful and understanding of the situation and helped her pick out the best wigs that suited her best. If you are in the market for a wig I highly recommend Wigs Today. Thank you to Judy and Karen for your patience and understanding. read more

Everyone is very nice and attentive. They help style and make sure it is to your liking.

Karen was very helpful, found a wig for my grandmother that suited her very well. Her input helped us a lot! Took personal time to cut the wig to fit the face. It's a covid safe space and she required us to wear a mask as she did. Also the wigs are fairly priced for the quality. I would recommend this shop for older people especially if you're looking for something natural to blend in. read more

June, the owner, is the best! She was very patient while I picked out styles and color I liked. She recommended the one I ended up purchasing. She was not pushy, she just saw one that I had overlooked. This was my first experience with buying a wig due to medical issues causing hairloss. I highly recommend her store. The employee at this store today was absolutely HORRIBLE! Not only did she follow my daughter and my mother around the store, hiding behind displays. She refused to assist my daughter in trying on a wig! She was rude and her tone was SO unprofessional that it made my poor mother feel so uncomfortable that they thanked her (for nothing) and decided to leave! They ended up going to Retro Reload in Narbonne Ave (Lomita) to find the wig they were looking for! Where the employee was absolutely amazing! Not only did Retro help my daughter pick a wig, the employee showed her how to use the wig cap, and gave them tips for wig care!! I'm sorry but when a customer comes into a store instead of shopping online, it's because they want the personal experience and the relationship that comes with finding a retailer you can trust! We didn't find that at Wigs Today... read more

Best wig stop you'll ever make. There are so many options to choose from. They offer outstanding customer service, so caring and attentive. Not to mention QUALITY wigs. I've purchased from here previously and they not only look better than your average shop, they hold over very well! I had forgotten about this place but after shopping around at others I made a visit here. I found the exact style/length I was looking for, though not the right color. I became worried as I realized just how great the quality is in comparison to other shops, but they searched until they found the exact shade I needed! I was so thrilled and happy they took the time to help me! I'm glad to have come across this place once again. Will happily be returning!! read more

Right on the corner on PCH and Pennsylvania. If you are heading North on PCH it's on the left side. I stopped here with my mom and this place had A LOT of choices. Ranging from sophisticated cuts both long/short, blond/brunette/strawberry red/black/highlighted to funky electric pink and blue wigs. The human hair needs to be ordered and a price we were quoted on...I can get a couple laptops from costco cheaper. The one wig that my mom got went for around $200+. Parking is a bit tricky (it's one of those houses with a store front attached). I suggest to park on the street because getting out from the tight spaces is tricky, thank goodness I had my small car and not the van! The woman that helped us was nice, enthusiastic to help my mom find a hair piece that she'll love to wear. read more

What a wonderful, helpful person Helen is.She helped me with a wig I bought elsewhere..I didn't know how to put it on.She trimmed it to looked better on my tiny frame.I called 2 weeks later and told her I wanted to buy one of her wigs.I went in and she already knew what I needed.I had been loosing hair and am only 5 ft,85lbs She brought out a partial wig what we used to call a 'Fall'.I have long platinum gray hair.Helen said I was too petite and tiny for a full wig..it hid my face.It felt like we had known each other forever since the first time I met her.She invited me back to try different styles with my new hair piece.I will never buy a wig,or a hair piece from anyone but Helen at the Wigs Today shop in Lomita. The most pleasant sales person I've ever had the privilege to meet. Thanks so much Helen!!!!!
