Was surprised at how huge the coffee options were here and the long list of different syrups we could request. Bumblebee added to black iced coffee was absolutely delicious and refreshing and was only $3.50 which is a coffee price hard to find now.

Upon the recommendation of a friend, my wife and swung over from Mount Vernon to check out Wiggin Street Coffee. It was alright. The menu and coffee are quite good (probably 4 stars), but the atmosphere needs a touch up. The lighting was cool, and there is plenty of seating, but the booth seats are cracking, and there is a surprising lack of aesthetic warmth with so much light. Maybe everything just felt too yellow and drab. This shop could be super cute, but for now it is just a good place for a drink and a study break.

The prices are pretty expensive, even for a place off of a college campus. The prices do not reflect the quality of the drinks, which is so-so at best. I got an Italian soda, which was almost $6. I asked if they had any gluten free options and they didn't have anything (not even a fruit?). I was surprised that there was not an effort made to include anything, especially when the website specifically lists gluten free pastries (which is why we chose to go here). I don't think it's worth it to go back and try again, especially if their website isn't accurate.

Wiggin Street Coffee is pretty much it when it comes to hot beverages in Gambier. It doesn't have to worry about competition. That means they can put out average product and they'll be okay. It's not bad or anything. It's just not that impressive and there's nowhere else to go to. It seems like a regular Starbucks kind of inside. It doesn't exactly have an independent coffee shop feel. There's way too much of a corporate look. It's coffee is about the same price. The regular is about $3 and most other coffee items are more. It has stuff to eat too. The selections weren't exactly anything worth getting. It has stuff like to go cups of carrots and hummus. There isn't much good for vegetarians. At least nothing that was an actual meal. The deli would be a better option if you're hungry and it's better and cheaper. I like there's a coffee shop in Gambier but Wiggin Street Coffee should be better. It could use some competition. They most likely won't get any so they can keep doing things the way they are there.

Staff at the farm and in the farm stand were all friendly. Although the place was busy, there was next to no waiting to get up close and personal with the animals or walk around inside the market. The grocery store was a great stop for snacks. They had some delicious pies. At least the cheese and blackberries one I had was delicious. And since the crust is great, I would imagine they were solid choices. They had a nice selection of Amish popcorn and maple treats too. The gift shop is large and has a good selection of items. The yard decor and patio furniture were all fairly impressive. Some things were even Buckeyes themed! The leather goods were the other highlight. I thought the rucksacks were great and had me wishing I could take a hobbit adventure But, the highlight for my sister was a real/ nice belt that she is excited about. My highlight was the pecan turtle I had for dessert. It's a great spot in Amish country and the service was very pleasant.

Food: Almond croissant is delicious. Crispy, flaky, soft interiors with a beautiful almond filling. This is the best almond pastry I've had in Columbus. I'd highly recommend. Maple pecan twist is delicious. Soft with a sweet maple glaze and crunchy pecans to top. This was beautiful down and tasted fantastic. If you're a pecan lover this is for you. I'd highly recommend. Pumpkin morning bun was phenomenal. This is one of the best pumpkin pastries I've ever had. A true pumpkin flavor with a soft buttery pastry. I'd insist on this item. Crème Brûlée Eclair was good. Butter pastry with a crunchy caramel topping and a sweet very well made cream filling. This was my first eclair and I'm not disappointed. I'd recommend. Plum cranberry Almond Tart was delicious. The plums and cranberries were fresh and added a nice freshness to the almond base tart. I'd highly recommend. Chocolate bombe was great. Cold ganache filling with dark chocolate chunks and a beautiful ganache and cocoa powder over the top. I'd recommend for chocolate lovers. Chocolate Caramel Pecan Feuilletine was great. It genuinely tasted like an upscale turtle. If turtles are something you'd enjoy. I'd highly recommend.

I think the issue is with the chocolate they use for the mocha but it had such an odd flavor that I couldn't bring myself to finish it. The croissant was fine and not memorable and I won't say too much on the macaron because I think I just realized I'm not really a macaron person so I can't fairly judge them there. The cafe is itty bitty and there is absolutely no seating inside so it's more of a grab and go situation. There are a few seats outside so hopefully you can snag a seat when the weather is nicer. Overall, I think there are a lot of other good coffee shops in Columbus that I don't see myself going out of my way to come back.
