Yummy! My first time trying the world's most wanted wiener. And I've been pleasantly surprised! Definitely better than any wiener I've had recently . The food was nice and hot, cooked to order. I really liked the menu choices as it's not stuff you typical find on a fast food menu. Items like the Oreo funnel cake and pastrami burger just stick out to me. The flavors were good and honestly so glad to get dragged here. The staff was really super quick and friendly enough. The inside seemed nice and tidy and I can't wait to try it again! read more

I always appreciated Wienerschnitzel for their prices. You know you aren't getting the best quality, but I had a pastrami burger and it was good. I was expecting my stomach to hurt after, but it didn't. Service was very kind. I also liked the look of this location. It just felt better than others. read more

I go to this Wienerschnitzel every time and every time it has never failed me. The workers serve me and do their very best while I am there. They're are very kind even though they're working hard at the moment. They're fast and my food is always good. The ambience is the best. I will come back here every time. read more

I went to Wienerschnitzel and ordered a number one, which includes two chili dogs, fries, and a drink. The menu did not mention anything about cheese, and I was not asked if I wanted cheese. However, when I received my order, both chili dogs had cheese on them. I took the order back and explained the issue. One of the employees told me she could not take the food back inside the store, but she agreed to remake my order. While I was waiting, the manager--who was also working as the cook--came out and said he needed to verify the food. I explained that I had already thrown it away in the garbage. He then told me that there was nothing he could do because he had to verify the food was in the bag. I asked him if he wanted me to dig it out of the garbage, and he repeated that he had to verify the food in the bag. At that point, I retrieved the bag of food from the trash and handed it to him at the window. He verified it and then took it back inside the store. As I thought about it, I realized that was unsanitary and extremely concerning--especially since the bag that had been in the garbage was now being handled inside the restaurant. Because of that, I asked for my money back. The manager then asked for my receipt, which was also in the same bag of food that he had taken back inside. Eventually, he refunded me. Following the incident, I called Wienerschnitzel's corporate office on three separate occasions but never received a return call. Because of the unsanitary handling and lack of response from corporate, I filed a report with the Department of Health. read more

I loved this place for many years. We ordered tonight get it home and it was disgusting. Chilli cheese dogs. Cheese was piled on top tasted like it's was on there for hours no chilli. The fries were cold and rubbery no salt nothing. 70 dollars of garbage. I will never go back read more

Wienerschnitzel - very very sad look at this... - Fast Food Near Me - San Antonio, Texas

Not a whole lot to see or say. Both my burger and dog were.... Ok. Nothing amazing but yet nothing horrible either. As my wife described the burger, "If someone had this at a backyard bbq, I'd be totally ok with it" The drive through was extremely busy and seemed to be taking away attention from the walk up customers (which I was). Like all places right now I think they are struggling with staffing. HOWEVER, if you want to visit a place that is a throwback to the 50'-60's beach walk up, have at it, just go there knowing what you are going there for. read more

This is the last Wienerschnitzel anywhere in town! Awesome that it is right close to me. Love that they are open late, obviously wienerschnitzel has a rather basic menu. They do rotate seasonal things like the chicken burger or the pastrami which was really good. they also have multiple flavors of chili cheese fries, which are tasty. Corn dogs are their go to (delicious), but I especially like the mini corn dog packs. there is nothing but outdoor seating, so most days it is walk up counter-service or drive-thru. Customer service can be slow, but they are typically friendly enough. They also have daily specials for every day of the week, including ice cream! The perfect place when you are craving some great hot dogs, but obviously nothing I could call amazing as far as food quality. read more

Walked up to the order window to get some food. After a few minutes of waiting for someone. They advised me that they only take orders at the drive thru. Mind you I'm in my company pickup truck and won't fit. Oh well. Probably for the best and money spent better elsewhere. read more

One of my guilty pleasures. My preference is the traditional Coney Island with chili, cheese onions and mustard. I like the size of the Dawg because it firs in my mouth in one bite, as opposed to those 1/4 jobs you get often elsewhere. No, the chili is not A1 quality stuff but good enough. The store is fast and cheap, plus filling. BTW, the stuffed jalapeños are the best anywhere. A real draw, imo. Here's the kicker -- I often stock up on a bag of 15 or 20 to keep in the freezer for a quick throw-down dog at night or during the game. 50 seconds in the microwave followed by 10 minutes in the oven @350 and you're in business. read more

Here's the deal: if you're a fast food chain restaurant, I'm going to give you stars in relation to other fast food chain restaurants. The stars you get when you're a Wienerschnitzel isn't going to be the same stars you get when you're a Ruth's Chris, but I'm going to give you the stars if you provide exceptional service and the food is tasty. I think that's something that bugs me about the app. If you give a Wienerschnitzel 2 stars, but the food tastes good, you like the selection, and the customer service is great in comparison to other fast food joints, it's like "really?" If we know what a Wienerschnitzel is, we aren't going for gourmet. But does it provide service that you would say is above and beyond that of a regular drive through? Hell yeah! Does it provide fast food that is good, fast, and hot? Yeah! Were you satisfied with your portion and anything else about your visit? Oh, yeah! Then give the place the right amount of stars. We went to this Wienerschnitzel today and we had amazing customer service. The people who worked the drive-through were eager to have a chat with us and were so friendly. We even talked about our tattoos. Our mini corn dogs were cooked perfectly and were very addicting. We regretted not ordering the larger size. Our root beer float was bigger than what I'd normally receive at A&W and with better ice cream! The franchisee could do a little more to keep the place up, but overall, for what I expect from a Wienerschnitzel, this place exceeded the expectations. And for that it gets 4 stars! read more

I have been aware of this chain for my entire life, but somehow managed to avoid it. A friend and I decided to give it a shot. Wow. The most pointless meal that I have ever experienced. Convenience stores serve better hot dogs. Yes, it's THAT bad. The buns are quite small, so the toppings end up on the table, your lap...just everywhere. The hot dogs are very salty. We ordered the "seasonal" Luau fries. What a mess. It might have worked on CRISPY fries, but when the product is slimy, and you add a sauce on top? You end up eating french fries with a fork. A SPOON would have worked better. The watermelon lemonade tastes like chemicals. You spend the same amount of money at Burger Boy or P. Terry's. WHY go to a place like this??? Sonic hot dogs are better. I can buy HEB brand meat, and boil it. And, at LEAST, try to come up with unique buns. If Dollar General were a fast food chain, this would be it. read more

This place is the WORST for service. The drive thru has cars in queue and they have a counter to order from. I walked up to the counter to order then waited and waited, then waited some more. There was a woman working the drive thru window, she saw me. There was a guy putting food in bags and handing them to window woman, he saw me. Then a third guy comes from the back, he sees me, then joins first guy putting orders together. I was left standing there like a putz after the workers saw me. Don't go to this place. They obviously don't want the business. I should've known the level of service, or lack there of, given the location. It's not like the workers at these types of places venture far from home. Lesson learned. read more

Let me start by saying I love Wienerschnitzel. We don't have it right around our house where we live so when I come down to San Antonio I look forward to getting it. Came to this location walked up to the window waited about 5 minutes worker came to the window and said we're short-handed could you drive through please. I understand being short-handed so got in the car and pulled around drive-thru took 10 minutes from the time I ordered to get to the window. Got my order pulled a head into a parking spot. The fries are cold the chili dogs are barely warm. This is probably the worst experience I've had at a Wienerschnitzel and I'm sure it's all because there's not enough people working so this is not the workers fault I don't believe. read more

Best chili cheese dog around, never have understood why this place is not more popular

I stopped for a chili cheese dog with lite toppings and what I got looked like straight up slop. There was a cheese slice just thrown in the middle of the hot dog, it was disgustingly full of relish--so much to the point the whole dog was cold. I then asked for a refund and had to wait for the manager to "find her keys". As small as the place is, but I'm waiting forever. Finally I just drove off while the cashier is looking clueless, the "cook" is banging his head around to obnoxiously loud rock music, and the manager is still looking for her keys. Never will return. read more

Been craving Wienerschnitzel, drove 20 mins to get to this location spent $40 on items for me and my family as soon as we drove up to the location it just looked filthy no one keeps up with the location and it shows We ordered our food, got to the window all the associates working don't have there mask on the correct way, wearing it on there neck not covering mouth or nose. Cooks not wearing hair nets. Wondering if the member of management on duty is ok with how there store is ran. As we're waiting for our food workers starting arguing about the other worker needs to let them know when the foods done so he can give it to us and not just stand there (VERY UNPROFESSIONAL WORK AREA) Get home start passing out food 2 family members found hair in there order of chili cheese fries. Very disappointed in this location, read more

I ordered 100 dollars in hot dogs on their website. They used Uber eats to deliver it. I never received food. Called and asked if they can remake order and I'll pick up and was told no. They said to call over eats. Uber eats said they have to refund me because wienerschnitezel did the actual charge. After about 5 call between there and Uber eats I had to accept the fact that I lost 100 and had to get my crew something lease to eat. Highly disappointed. read more

I went to college at TJC back in the 90's and there was one that was amazing. Decided to try this location last night thinking I was about to enjoy a quick meal. It is hard to mess up a hot dog but they pulled it off. The chili sauce is horrible so try something else if you dare to go. read more

Customer service was very poor. The man at the window was rude as was the lady at the intercom.

The people that work here hate their job. And he food is really good but the service is really bad.

Out of the few times we've been here, not bad at all. Food usually hot. Just the one time we came, an hour before closing, we wanted ice cream cones (yes I know, dessert before dinner), they were cleaning it before close on a Fri. "UHH... the machine is down" after seeing several.people outside at the benches eating ice cream cones. read more

Food is always amazing when I come Prices for combo tho are high paid $10 bucks for a large #1 when they have 5dogs for $6 bucks and was not even aware of that But this trip was suckish I came to enjoy a dog and a nice cold tea come to find out they didn't have any made so I said I'll wait and continued to cash out 5min later food came out no drink 3 more min passes and they then said it'll be 10 more min cause that's how long it takes I was very upset cause all they can say is what else would u like ? Yea y wasn't it started when I placed my order. I would like not to have to wait 10 min before being told it will be another 10 min to get my drink This is the only location left keep doing this to customers and more you'll be outta business in no time I mean if y'all can't fix something small like this y'all really shouldn't even be open Food gets a 7/10 Service gets 3/10 And only reason it gets this much cause the you. Lady behind the counter was polite about it And when I was leaving after eating my meal I asked for a refill and of tea Was the gentleman who said he didn't start it yet still.. worst visit ever time to clean house . read more

Great for a quick stop after a fun day out or on a road trip. Delicious dogs a bit pricer for some of the basics sometimes. Highly recommend the lemonade as well as the polish and Chicago dogs. All around a solid quick lunch and great quality hot dogs. Also great service, fast and friendly. The only real detractor is the location as it faces a dusty construction site which becomes a negative as you sit outside. And no restroom for hand washing. read more

I've been to this location multiple times, normally they'd receive a 5 star but today all of the kids (teenage) guys were not wearing their masks as they prepared and handed me my order of ice cream. While I was waiting for the ice cream and one of the young men placed the cone in the face of another young man who wasn't wearing a mask. EeeEwwwwww. This post would get one star but their was a young lady that wore her mask the entire time and was super professional. I love the store but y'all have to do better then that during these times. read more
