they use the ai ordering system to try to scam you. 7.99 combo with 2 all beef upgrades (1.00 each per menu price) came out over 13 dollars. when asked why, an associate came on the mic and said whoops and r3duced it to 12.08. sales tax for prepared foods is 7.5 percent in nm. they refused to fix the price to what it should be. when i forthe fourth(4th) time tried to get an answer or reasoning they said they wuld not serveme and have me tresspassed if i did not leave. its a scam. they lie and overcharge you because they can. read more

Stopped here about 6 weeks ago during our road trip from ATL to Los Angeles. We had filled up at the nearest Costco, and R found out that there was a Wienerschnitzel on Juan Tabo. R hadn't eaten at a Wienerschnitzel for at least 7 years, and missed the chili dogs. How anyone could crave these things is beyond me, but, since we were in the area, and there was a nearby Wienerschnitzel AND R thinks they're the best chili dogs ever, I drove to get us chili dogs. We parked in the large, free parking lot surrounding Wienerschnitzel, but noticed there was a piece of paper taped to the door that the dining room was closed and that all customers had to use the drive thru window. There were three cars ahead of us in the drive thru, but the employee at the window was very friendly, happy, quick and efficient. We ordered 5 chili dogs (as part of a special they were promoting), a Dr Pepper and a Sprite at the drive thru speaker, and, within 5 minutes, we were at the window receiving our order. As soon as the bag of chili dogs was handed to me, I could smell the familiar odor of the chili dogs with onions. This couldn't be prevented because that smell is strong, and it's been locked into my memory banks for many, many years. Good thing we weren't in my car, because the chili dog smell permeates and stays in the car for a few days, whether the windows are open or not! I stopped in the parking lot and we ate our food in the car. R was in heaven; me, not so much Salty and thin (as in consistency) chili is not really a draw for me, but this meal wasn't about me. I hate to admit it, but, somehow, Wienerschnitzel chili hot dogs have become comfort food, bringing back good memories. Oh well ... I was plotting in my head anyway that we were going to go to one of my favorite fast food restaurants when we got to California. Hehehehe. Anyhow, we crossed off one of the things off of our To-To List: Eat chili dogs from Wienerschnitzel. This meal (snack?) was priced well, costing less than $12. read more

No where on their web site does it indicate they do not take walk-up orders. I know I looked before we (my son and I) walked up to the JAUN TABO facility. Albuquerque is not geared towards the pedestrian. And this fast food chain is typical of this city. The pedestrian is SOL if they want a hot dog. Granted the young lady was overly polite and I mean sugarly polite when she informed us that they do not take walk-ups. And since the lobby is closed we did not get served. I am capable of standing 6 or more feet way from the window and they could come out and throw the food down and walk away. However like many fast food restaurants, the do not and will not cater to the pedestrian. All of Albuquerque is geared to the automobile. After we finish with the insane lock down only franchise fast food chains will exist, Mom and Pops will be gone. This is one chain I will never frequent again. I'm a huge fan of this chain from when I lived in CA, but always happy to have the chance to revisit. The chili cheese dog (upgrade to 100% Beef from the original) is fantastic and the fries are great-the large fries are the big cup in the picture and the large soda was 44 oz. The value is apparent and it's very easy to have a meal for $$8-$10, even in the more expensive areas like CA. (Cost of living..Yadda, yadda-but it's a good value and a great treat. They also sell a canned version of their chili for $5, and I'm taking quite a few of those home. read more

This place is always my go to for hot dogs! We also went to Sonic and were told they no longer serve Banana Splits, lucky for us we can visit and get both food and dessert!! The chili sauce is so good!! Hot dogs are very good, not at all heavy. I enjoy mine with chili and cheese. I am not a fan of the fries, last order came out very salty, not something I usually order so no sweat off my back. The new Orange Cream shake was so good that I did not want to share!!! I like this place, the food is standard fast food, so it's nothing special. But, the people who work here are very friendly, and welcoming. Also, there is a main bus line at this intersection so waiting for the bus, inside with a snack is always good. read more

My husband is always hankering for their chili cheese dogs so when we were in the neighborhood, we decided to grab a few dogs to go. We placed our order in the drive thru and asked for 2 plain hot dogs, 3 chili cheese dogs with onions and 2 orders of fries. As we tried to pay with a 100 dollar bill, the girl checked her drawer and realized she didn't have enough change. No problem...until she said, "You really should only be paying with twenty dollar bills". I understand the sketchiness of the neighborhood (located across a shopping center that was mostly boarded up) but to lecture us on the denomination of our money was a little annoying. So we gave her a card and went home to the south valley. After getting home, we noticed not only was there mustard on the "plain" hot dogs, the chili cheese fries had not a speck of onion on them. I called the store right away and spoke to manager Ralph. I explained the situation and that I would not be able to go right back to the store since I had rented a carpet cleaner that I had to return in the area and that I would stop by then with the incorrect order. He said no problem. But there WAS a problem. About 4 minutes later, Ralph calls back saying there was an issue with my complaint. He spoke to his employees and he decided THEY were telling the truth about having made the order correctly and he wanted to know what was going on. At this point I thought his accusation over a few hot dogs was ridiculous so I went into detail about our whole experience, including the admonition of the hundred dollar bill and specific details of our visit. He seemed to have thought better of it and said to stop on by when I had the chance. I let him know I would be bringing the food back and he said that wasn't necessary. When I finally did go in, I asked for him and whaddaya know? He wasn't there. I really wanted to meet the man who called me a liar but to no avail. It wasn't meant to be. Or he may have been hiding in the walk-in. Whatever the case, the gal who handled my order was pleasant and gave me the correct order right away. All Ralph had to do was say, sorry, stop by for the correct order, end of story. But here we are. Next time we'll stop by the one on Carlisle. Stay tuned! read more
