This was way more fun than I thought it would be. I'm so glad I didn't miss this. I only did it because it was included in the Vienna pass. But this is something I would pay full price for. Apparently you can even eat a meal in one of the cars. We saw a car fully set up for a meal! What a fun thing to do. It didn't seem that high but there is a great view from the top and you can open the small top window and take pictures out of it. Lines were not Long. You don't have to have your pictures taken on the way in. Just tell them you don't want a picture ( 10 euro) and walk on by to the line for this ride. The cute exhibit cars on the way in were fun to take pictures of. Take the blue hop on hop off bus out here if you are riding these.

I quite enjoyed this ride. It is included in your Vienna pass, conveniently accessible with public transport, interesting entrance and beautiful view of the entire city. I would recommend this place especially for people with young kids. Lots of good souvenir shops around to get your shopping/gift tasks done too. SECRET: if you are traveling as a couple, you can contact them earlier and reserve to have lunch/dinner inside it. Some of them have full on table setting and it can be very romantic. This seemed like a fun thing to do, so I did it. The ferris wheel has a nice area with cute exhibits with a lot of figures depicting the city in previous centuries before you enter the line to get into the ferris wheel itself. The ferris wheel ride is nice, but there are no seats in some of them. Overall, this place is good. read more

Nice! The giant ferris wheel inside the Prater was really neat! There is a museum of sorts at the beginning talking about the history of the ferris wheel. The cars accommodate many people. Nice attraction - enjoyable and kinda scary - great view out over Vienna. read more

A lot of great cities have Ferris wheels. This one is more humble, but it's cute and offers a charm that doesn't clash with Vienna but offers something interesting. read more
