A beautiful inner city green space located near our hotel. You'll stroll past statues, beautifully landscaped plants, a man made pond, plenty of benches for relaxing and people watching, and large grass areas for picnicking, sunbathing, sports. We sat for quite some time relaxing and talking, before a smoker sat next to a bench near us....

Stadtpark is quite a pretty and relaxing park to hang out in. The layout is very nice, with curved paths & different places to sit. Even though the park is quite popular, the many trees and foliage makes it feel a bit more intimate. There's a big pond in one part of the park, and different sculptures scattered around. It's a good place to eat lunch, read, have a picnic, walk around, just hang out...

Peaceful and clean park at the center of Vienna. I walked around here after dinner and it was a nice place to stroll. Many people had their blanket and relaxing still sunny evening. They have several walkway with different statues including the famous Johann Strauss. I felt safe here walking alone and if I had a free afternoon, I would hangout here with my books.

A nice neighborhood park, to lay down on a blanket and have a picnic. Park was relatively crowded on a Saturday. Nice landscaping, lush grass, and the occasional statue to take a picture of. There was a mobile espresso truck selling their wares. Would get a five star if the graffiti were cleaned up on the waterway, and in other spots.

A bit east of central Vienna, you'll find Stadtpark. You'll find this beautiful park that has lots of places to picnic, ride your skateboard, or let your kids play on the grounds there. Plenty of trees for shade if you wish to bring a blanket and just relax on the grass. There's also a canal that runs through the park, however it was very dried up when I visited. As you cross the bridge heading north you'll find another area that's filled with statues and monuments of famous Austrian composers and musicians, great place for pictures. Overall it's a nice quiet park, a bit of graffiti and just okay as far as cleanliness goes. Just an alright park, not must see place or anything.

As I stayed in the Radisson, in front of the park, I went every day for a stroll or to start or end my journey of sightseeing Vienna as there is a metro line U 4 Stadtpark. I like this park with little lakes, ducks and many benches... and many more. The "golden" statue of Johann Strauss stands in the park and many tourists are taking a picture... me too. I have a good reason, as child I was member of a choir. To celebrate our 10th anniversary we have during many months "An der schönen blauen Donau" rehearsed before we were able to give a performance. I love this park and it is very close to the center !

Gorgeous foliage of the Gingko trees glow even in the overcast weather and were a perfect autumn show stopper.

A wonderful park in Vienna!…read more The park is massive, and I know there is a wide path that runs through the park, and is just over 4km long. This is the only place where I have been, well, that and the amusement park. I know that there are plenty of wide open green spaces to picnic, sunbathe, or whatever else people do in wide open green spaces. Pretty much there is something for everyone. There is a playground, a skate park, a bowling alley, some restaurants, a lake?, and some sports facilities, and of course benches.(which are conveniently located on the side paths - not the main "road".) No vehicles aside from human powered, Segways, buggies, and the occasional emergency vehicle. There is a road that runs perpendicular, but aside from a bus and occasional car, it is not very busy. Aside from fresh manure from our horse friends, the park is kept very clean. I am thrilled that people respect it enough not to litter! I also know there's a cute train called the Liliputbahn that runs through the park. My only criticisms right now are that I would like there to be a city-bike station closer to the other end (there's two near the amusement park end), and a few maps along the main path.

It is mostly shaded and paved and well used by Vienna locals all year round. The amusement park with the giant Ferris wheel is at one end and the Lusthaus cafe is at the other. It is beautiful and pleasure to go running on.
