I sat with them while my car was getting worked on. I was a bit uncomfortable with them talking about bankruptcy while I was in their presence, but did my best to ignore, and not eavesdrop. They replaced a battery on my Honda CR-V, and asked me to return the next day for the tires. In replacing the battery, the Honda computer systems did not come back online. They told me they tried to fix them, but could not, and that it would be no problem for the dealership to do so. This knocked out everything from lane assist to cruise control. The next day a sensor went off 1 minute from leaving them- the technician had not filled the tires back up after putting them on. Then I get a text from them asking if a headlamp was in my car. Finally my "no problem" reset to the computer systems cost an additional $114 at the Honda dealership. Please be aware of this potential, if you are considering letting them change your battery. When I texted to let them know this had happened, their response was offensive to the point that I felt compelled to let others know of their customer service.

I had a bad feeling about it so I called Todd And he told me to get the Jeep away from them ASAP, I went and picked it up and had it towed straight to him. The next day it was fixed with out having to buy any new parts. By taking it to Tooltime I saved time, money, and the stress of dealing with a much lesser shop. I will never make that mistake again. Like all first visits, I asked for an initial once over - knowing about the issues I wanted to make sure they found so as to judge their character and thoroughness. I dropped my jeep off on a Friday, 2 weeks ago. I was told then that it would be Wednesday or Thursday of next week before I would know anything. I said thats fine - expecting about a one week turn around if not the following Wednesday or Thursday. After two weeks, I went up there that following Friday - the week after they said I should know something HAVING NOT RECIEVED A SINGLE PHONE CALL found a sign saying ON VACATION BE BACK MONDAY. I was surprised. A business like this I believed would have the character to let me know about these things prior so I would have the chance to pick up my vehicle as TOO BE CONSIDERATE OF SOMEONE's TIME IF THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN A PROBLEM. They had my only key so even though they left the gate open, they didn't think to offer me the chance to pick it up. The weekend passed and Monday came. I said surely someone will call me to give me a status update, I mean, it's after their vacation - ready to work - let me know a new time table? NO - NOTHING. The unprofessional behavior of TOOLTIME JEEP floored me. I visited the shop today to get some kind of explanation and a new timeline. After just beginning to explain my frustration an angry/agrivation took over the man in the office. He demanded I pick up my jeep - sayin "let me get your key for you." I waited in the office for 10 mins. After getting extremely worried about what could be happening in as the result of some anger I may have caused asking "why wasn't I called to be made aware of the vacation?" - I walked around the fence to investigate. He had my jeep running with the A/C on, him standing outside talking to someone. I approached and came to find out it was A MORE WEALTHY CUSTOMER. This was despicable. I was prepared to have them do my cage, diff, lift, lockers, bumpers, wheels EVERYTHING. I was hurt. I just wanted an explanation. This was the worst experience I have ever had. I hope they catch up and can find a way to be more professional.

No expectations I drove from Charlotte to Lexington to be utterly amazed at the professionalism of the employees of TK auto. I was greeted when I first drove up. The staff was super friendly. First glance at the garage bays looked very nice and well kept. I meet Johnny, Robert, Piseth & Brandon and felt confident watching these mechanics work on the cars currently in the shop. Johnny the owner asked me what my symptoms were. A few seconds later after doing a inspection, he came wt a game plan and prognoses. He gave me a computer diagnostic and read the error msgs. Having a German car and knowing how touchy it can be - I was weary at first. He explained what the issue could be, and added they there might be other alternatives that would fix the issue. I agreed the the alternative work repair versus going the other route having to replace sensors and dismantling parts. After Johnnys quick fix, he asked that I drive the car over the weekend and if the check light comes back on the part required has already been ordered and ready to replace on Monday. I am now home and was so pleased that my Check Engine light is gone ! Will continue to follow his instructions and drive the car to cycle the codes and hope that the check engine light is gone to do my inspection on Monday. Very happy to made the decision to solicit TK Auto Repair. Very satisfied with the owner, mechanics and employees. The service and knowledge was very refreshing for once. Did not feel like I was in a corporate chain auto shop that wanted to gauge you. Will repost Monday to give full details on the check engine light and if I passed. Definitely worth the drive !! I took my car to Tuttle Motorsports to be worked on by Will and Corey about a year ago. The initial…read morediagnostic run on my car was that it needed a new rear differential that's what I approved to be done for the Car work wise. After the approval for Work Will proceeded to open my trunk, blast one of my rear struts out for the trunk and ended up breaking the whole glass windscreen on the back of the car. Will never called me to tell me that that had happened after a long period of time Will, I finally got notice back from him that the rear differential didn't need to be done it was the transmission to the car that needed to be replaced. He told me that since he had my permission to do the rear diff he just might as well go ahead and replace the transmission instead I never approved the work for the transmission because if I knew it needed a transmission I would've swapped it over to a five speed manual transmission. I paid the very large sum of money for work. I left Tuttle Motorsports and upon leaving that day, I heard a loud humming noise that I had never heard in the rear of the car I called Will, and told him I was coming back so he could listen to the noise. I brought the car back the next day Corey rode in the backseat. Will rode in the front. Both said they heard nothing fast-forward a year later I drive the car very rarely maybe a few times a year I heard a large squeaking noise coming for the rear end of the car. I take the car to another BMW mechanic right down the street for me instead of Will $600 later with him looking for what was squeaking he found that the rear differential had not been put together properly. The plates were squeaking back-and-forth from Will and Corey not tightening the rear differential bolts on the car. Do not take your car especially a BMW a Porsche a high-end car to Will and Corey at Tuttle Motorsports they will rip you off and do really horrible work. For what they charge you might as well go to the dealership and get the work done correctly. What a joke! If you take so much pride in fixing things and being prompt about fixing the glass Will why wasn't I told when it was broken? Why was it told to me when I came to pick up the car when repair was supposed to have been done correctly? Your a scam man and a shotty work shop. Why would I ever bring my car back to you guys when you where the only place to touch the car rear differential and you couldn't even torque the bolts down to spec? Maybe you guys should open something else? Car repair is not your thing.

Let me give you some understanding with thier level of honestly!…read more So I took my 2006 Lexus GX470 to Greensboro Toyota just to see what a timing belt and waterpump would cost me to have replaced for the 100k service. Greensboro Toyota quoted me $2,700 for the timing belt and waterpump replacement and then also tacked on wheel bearings at $3,200 bringing my cost up to $5,900. Now I've worked on 4th 4Runners before and I've replaced my timing belt on my previous 4Runner, I know from experience it's not that expensive nor do you need wheel bearings for a 100k mile service. I chose to not replace this on my own this time because I hate working on my own vehicles. So I took my truck to J Medic and the cost alone for the timing belt and water pump kit was rought $1,400 give or take a few dollars and they looked over my wheel bearings and told me that they don't need replacing. They had the parts, and I told them they needed to be replaced because Toyota said so and they could have gone out of their way to replace the parts, and charge for service hours but didn't. I don't know of many mechanic shops that would say hey this is perfect based on information you present to them. Now I don't know about you, but any mechanic that is "Brutally Honest" with you is the mechanic I want to go to. Pat and the boys over at J Medic will take care of you in the most honest way. You want good serivce got to J Medic, if you want to be treated like family, and spend your honest dollar go to J Medic.
