I was told by Tesla that my 2020 Tesla Model Y Performance needed a battery pack replacement. Before committing to Tesla, I called this shop and spoke with someone I believe was named Max, who assured me they could do the job and had third-party battery options that would be cheaper than Tesla. Based on that information, I paid $400 out of pocket to tow my car from Raleigh to their shop. That's where the red flags started. * It took over two days just to get a diagnosis, and I had to repeatedly call for updates. * I was charged $243.13 for the diagnostic, despite the delays and lack of communication. * My advisor, Marissa, told me she was "looking for a battery," which alone took another full day. * When I finally received an estimate, I was shocked: $28,000 total, with $23,000 claimed just for the battery. For comparison, Tesla charges around $13,000 for the same battery replacement -- and I personally found a compatible battery online for $14,500, which still makes their quoted $23,000 battery price extremely inflated. When I asked for a detailed, itemized estimate (battery source, labor hours, cost breakdown), I never received one. They could never explain where the battery was coming from, how many labor hours were involved, or why the price was so high. I asked twice to speak with a manager. Messages were taken both times. No manager ever called or texted me back. Because no repair was done, I then had to pay another $500 to tow my car back to Raleigh, wasting $900 total in towing alone, plus the $243.13 diagnostic fee -- not counting time and stress. Between the lack of transparency, the exaggerated battery cost, the inflated estimate, and zero management follow-up, this experience felt misleading and unprofessional. Called to ask a few questions and a rather disinterested lady told me to call back later after I found my VIN, then hung up on me! Then I emailed the person named in my appointment confirmation the same questions. Never heard back. I showed up the morning of my appointment and was unsure where to enter for service, as I didn't see any SERVICE signs. Pulled around to the bay in the back and sat there. The door never opened and I could see a person sitting at the counter inside. They ignored me. After a few minutes, I backed out and left. I was so disgusted that I considered making the 2-hour drive back to Durham for future service. On my drive home I passed the Volvo dealership right down the street from Flow. I could clearly see the SERVICE sign and decided to look online for any good deals on a new Volvo. Filled out a form online and Volvo called me within the hour. So, I drove back to the Volvo dealership, met the most amazing staff I've ever encountered at a car dealership, and left with a brand new 2026 Volvo! Flow, let this be a lesson. You lost my business that day. I happily traded in my RDX for another car and MUCH BETTER Customer Service. So the receptionist...Despite asking for a page, or no matter who I asked for, I kept being transferred to a voicemail identified by a 5 digit extension. No way to tell who this belonged to but lm first day. No response for second day, so called to ask sales manager Jason to inquire. Told the receptionist and clarified I did not want a vm. Several calls asking for my sales guy. Several for Jason. Same receptionist. Guess what I got. That's right. VMsin the abyss. No way to back out of non manned extension vm. So an exercise in frustration. System hangs up. Slipping biz practices In my opinion. Go to Greensboro acura people. These folks are in the anti sales department. You will be sorry you bought there. We're happy with their service. A year and a half later, I needed to have something checked gave them a long list of things. My husband asked me to go there have it checked. Turns out most of the things in my list is fine. They gave me quotes, set expectations and all that. There were no upsell of some sorts. Pretty straightforward transaction actually, I just brought up everything I have questions about. Asked the price for the check up. Have them checked. Asked something I didn't know or understand. I brought my husband to check on everything right after. They were all spot on!!

If you are just looking to relax, or get work done, there are couches, easy chairs, as well as a table with comfortable stools and chairs for working. Maybe best of all.. Free snacks. There was a basket of various chip and cookies bags, and a mini fridge of drinks. While all of that is NOT the main focus of why you are here, I appreciate the acknowledgement that, this part of life is not everyone's favorite thing. So making the customer as comfortable as possible while they wait, and not nickle and diming for things like playing a game or having a snack is a testament to that customer-centric focus. Anyway. Car stuff. You can tell these guys love working on cars, and that's the reason for them being here mainly while being able to make a living. The reason for my visit, is I had just recently bought a Volvo s60 PHEV and wanted an independent inspection before committing to keep it. Volvos, especially those with a hybrid system, require a trained eye so you can't trust just any shop to evaluate. Twin City Euro has at least 1 certified Volvo tech on staff, and were able to schedule me within my purchase window, so I came to them. They did a full evaluation of my car, and helped me notice a few relatively minor cosmetic things I had not seen at first (but didn't ultimately affect my purchase), including the most minute of windshield chips... which caught now can prevent a crack later (and be serviced by the place I purchased it free). Of course, they also took it for a drive and put it through it's paces mechanically, and checked for ongoing proper maintenance, ultimately giving it a clean bill of health. It put me at ease, and also made me know, I have found my shop of choice for when I need maintenance or repairs on this vehicle. I'll be back, and would recommend other European car owners look into them for their maintenance and repair needs.
