Went to the dealership because my truck was making this ticking noise but not all the time just…read moreoccasionally. Sounded like something was loose or a broken bracket or something is what I thought. No check engine light or noticing anything running bad. The dealership said my catalytic converter was going bad and it was $3k to fix! I took it to a couple of shops to get it looked at and told them what I was told. One shop said they could do it for $2,400. Took it to another shop and after talking to the guy there he said let me look at it. He crawled under it came back out and said you have a broken bracket! He couldn't fix it right then but I scheduled an appointment and came back. In less than 10 min he welded the bracket. I was fixed and no more noise! It wasn't a $3,000 fix either it cost me $20.00 for the weld! I say all this to say if you need catalytic converter or muffler work go see the guy at Farmington Muffler in Mocksville. Friendly, reasonable, and above all else trustworthy.
