The setting: Casual modern lunch truck vibe, tons of seating all around here in this food truck mecca around the corner from Chase Center. The meal: I wanted something simple and relatively healthy, so I ordered the fire grilled chicken bowl here from the friendly crew. In about five minutes, I had before me a perfectly prepared good sized portion of char-grilled dark meat chicken chopped into several slices placed over a heaping bed of white rice, with a green salad on the side. The chicken was hot, moist and juicy but to me, it needs a bit more seasoning or kick to it. I was also hoping for some salad dressing to bring a bit of zing to the fresh salad, but there wasn't any on it. to be fair, I'll ask for dressing if I try this again. In short, it was a well prepared, but a bit bland. Maybe they just forgot to put on the vinaigrette dressing on mine.. With a bit of seasoning or condiments, this Fire grilled chicken bowl could be pretty tasty. Verdict: I should have gone for the crab fried rice instead. Maybe next time!
Stumbled on Spark Beer Garden and found Wicked Star as 1 of the variety of food trucks available. We tried the Vietnamese Sticky Wings and the Thai Chicken Salad. Both were generous portions and very delicious. We even took home some yummy essentials for the next day. I was glad their food came in compostable paper containers!
My boyfriend and I visited Wicked Star when we were at Spark Social SF! Wicked Star was one of the food trucks there and caught our eye. We ordered from Wicked Star (Vietnamese American Fusion). At Wicked Star, we kept it light and got the Thai Chicken Salad and the Vietnamese Sticky Wings. Everything tasted delish and we had no complaints! I like that there was a good amount of chicken and avocado in the salad, and the chicken was full of flavor and we enjoyed the Fish Sauce as the dressing. The sticky wings were also very good - I can't really do spicy and they were very accommodating, making my half of the wings non-spicy :') The slider was yummy and not too greasy which we enjoyed!
I've been duped by the photos and description plastered on the side of the truck. I got the pork belly lime bowl and wasn't impressed. What was advertised as crispy, flavorful looking pork belly came out looking parboiled and limp. The supposed fish sauce was barely there. Another patron returned to the truck to ask for more sauce while I was waiting. The rice was mushy and wet. Sorry to say it but Wicked Star...you are mostly wicked with little star.
Love the Thai chicken salad, it's juicy clean refreshing. But oh boy, do not ever order through DoorDash. I've placed 4 different DoorDash orders in the past year for pick up, and they never check DoorDash orders until you ask about it when pick up is due. No point in ordering ahead of time - they only pay attention to the onsite kiosk orders. Once they retrain staff I will consider increasing the rating, their Thai chicken salad is just too good. Our friend got their crab fried rice and leaves much to be desired.

I love food trucks. This Thai Viet fusion sounded interesting so I decided to give it a try. You order from a kiosk. They take both cash and card. After ordering, my food was ready in like 2-3 minutes.. sus... This felt like such a big scam. For $13.50, I expected a box full of rice; not a shared space with salad. The rice looks so bland and all I really taste is black pepper. The crab was there but there's a ton of shell. I'm pretty sure I only got 1 egg because there's not much in the fried rice. 2000% skip this if you're considering.
Crab fried rice ($14.95) - 2.5 stars Overpriced and underdelivered! I tasted bits of crab shell in this. And overall did not think there was enough flavor or crab, or other veggies. The side sald was incredibly sad, just lettuce and tomato, no flavor. I would not get this again.

My experience with spark social has been mixed. Last time I ordered from a Korean place and it was awful. This place however is great. Got the grilled chicken with rice and salad all came and it's $12 ish. And the passion fruit lemonade. $5 also yummy. Would be back.
Food is ok it gets the job done. Ordered crab fried rice w/chicken, and fried prawns. It also includes a side salad with an amazing litr vinergarette. The rice was not a day old, lol, and the chicken could have been cooked a little longer, more char. The shrimps now those were fried to perfection. Order was simple walk up yo yhe kiosk place, and they'll text you when it's ready. It took about 10 minutes if that was to make. You do have to ask for sauces and napkins.
Wicked Star was one of the many food carts near Chase Center that caught my attention while walking by. I noticed tacos on their menu and was intrigued since I'd never tried tacos with Thai flavors before. They turned out to be absolutely delicious -- the perfect size and price point to enjoy while still leaving room to try other spots in the area. I'm honestly surprised their prices aren't higher given how close they are to both the Giants and Warriors venues. This is definitely a great stop to make before any game. read more
You call this a food truck? This is a good food truck! Spark Social is *the* place to be before a Giants game or a Valkyries (or a Warriors!) game! Much more reasonably-priced and better bang for your buck than stadium food. My friend and I both enjoyed our Crab Fried Rice Bowls (they tasted fresh and warm. Quite a bit of lettuce which made us feel better about ourselves because, hey, healthy! They also gave us more crab than I expected! Decent crab portion). We also shared Vietnamese Sticky Wings. Portions were decent (we were full and would've taken a little home if we weren't going to a stadium after!) The Thai iced tea was sweet. The wings were indeed sticky and yummy. Service was good and they handled crowds well. Will be back! read more
I was in the Mission Bay area checking out SPARK Social food truck park and decided to try the chicken salad and iced Thai tea from Wicked Star. It was decent. It's good enough, but nothing spectacular. There's park bench seating nearby, so you can enjoy your food outdoors. read more

Stumbled on Spark Beer Garden and found Wicked Star as 1 of the variety of food trucks available. We tried the Vietnamese Sticky Wings and the Thai Chicken Salad. OR, keep one person very round. *RAISES HAND* Wicked Star is a permanent food truck at SPARK Social serving Thai-Viet Fusion Cuisine. They're open for takeout, delivery, and outdoor dining. Their Pork Belly & Lime Bowl got rave reviews so we decided to try it. M E N U * Viet Sticky Wings, Panko Shrimp, 4 Rice Bowls (Chicken, Pork Belly, Mushroom, or Crab Fried Rice), and Thai Chicken Salad. * Drinks: Thai Tea, Passion Fruit Limeade, Viet Coffee. Very affordable pricing with most entrees less than $13. There was no line when I visited on a Friday night. I placed my order and was given a buzzer. My order was ready in about 3-4 minutes. F O O D * Pork Belly & Lime Bowl: Crispy Roasted Pork Belly, cilantro, lime, Thai chili, fried shallots, Thai-Viet fish sauce ($12.95): https://bit.ly/3L32wQR It seems I visited on an off day because this was underwhelming. So Wicked Star is one of my favorite food trucks at Spark Social, and I always buy the lime Pork. But today I ordered and the made it so fast, and usually they always give me crispy pork, but today I don't think they gave me a new one. I didn't complain in person because I was rushing for my job. And then, this is the 2nd time that the Asian guy who works there looks rude. He was rude to me the first time too. He is not smiling at all. I love this place, but please tell your staff, to serve well. read more
Service 1/5 stars. Had to wait nearly 20 minutes for someone to assist us. When the cashier was finally ready to take our order, there were no apologies which was fine but not even a hello. He just stared straight at me without a word and I had to ask him whether or not he was ready to take our order. Very rude and awkward. We order two drink: Green Thai tea: Very watery down and underwhelming. Barely any tea taste. Nothing unique. Vietnamese sea salt coffee: Hardly any sea salt and didn't give me the strong coffee taste that most Vietnamese coffee would. Drink is creamy and wouldn't mind getting it again. read more

Sparks food truck in San Francisco has a good variety of food to choose from for lunch or dinner. I venture here last night and notice it was very busy. So we decided to try the Wicked Star food truck. I wanted to try the crab fried rice, but it was completely sold out. As a consolation, I chose the chicken rice and Thai chicken salad. It came pretty fast. The chicken rice came with a side of salad. I liked the dish but wish their were a little more favor. The salad was good. Would of like to have tried the crab fried rice. read more

Yesterday I went to a Spark Social SF and I got SICK from eating their fire grill chicken. Wasn't worth $13 I would never eat at this truck again. This place needs to be INSPECTED. NowI'm in the hospital being treated for FOOD POISONING read more
We only ordered the crab fried rice. It was a huge disappointment. It's worth probably a 1 "wicked" star but you always give the benefit of the doubt. The fried rice lacks flavor, not fried well enough, a bit soggy but could be the mistake of putting salad on top of the rice. Lettuce got moisture so part of the rice is wet and cold. The fried rice also lacks "wok air". If you had good fried rice before, you know what I meant. The heated smell of "frying" the rice, the aroma of the flavor of the rice steaming out from the rice. Now given some like well fried fried rice (some Chinese style are like that)and some like the moist fried rice (like the Thai fried rice), you still can smell and taste that steaming flavor in the air. This one just looked and tasted like a "dead" fried rice. The only thing they did was interesting is they added some really spicy chili. It sure gave a kick. read more
We ordered the Crab Fried Rice (fried rice, crab, scrambled eggs, yellow onions, garlic, fried shallots, black pepper and cilantro) and a Passion Limeade for lunch. This was our second time here and service is amazingly fast. After ordering we had our fried rice in hand in about two minutes! This was perfect since we were hungry and ready to chow down. The crab fried rice is extremely flavorful and has that breath of the wok flavor that kicks it up a notch in the deliciousness department. The sweet and icy passion limeade makes a perfect pairing for this savory lunch dish. Great food truck that we'll definitely want to come back to and try more of their menu. read more
Tried out their pork belly bowl and had such high expectations as it's a popular item. I found it to be overpriced for the amount of food (specifically, pork pieces) I received. The lime that was mixed throughout the rice was not fresh and had already become bitter. The rice was also cooked on the dry side. I wasn't the biggest fan of the dressing and felt it didn't taste authentic. I most likely will not come back. read more
I picked-up takeout from Wicked Star this weekend. Surprising to me, It is a trailer located inside Spark Social Street Food Park. Their menu features a number of Thai and Vietnamese bowls, salads, and drinks. But because of the cold weather, I had to go with the Jurassic pho. The warm broth definitely did it's job in warming me up and the flavor was definitely up to par with others I've had in the past. The thing that made this "Jurassic Pho" is that it came with a huge beef rib which was a flavorful treat to add my bowl of soup. Overall, I enjoyed my takeout experience. The food was tasty. The portions were solid. There was contactless payment and room to socially distance. I honestly wouldn't have expected to get this type of food from a trailer. But, I'd definitely go back to try the other items on their menu. read more
Amongst all the food truck options at Spark Social, Wicked Star is one of our favorites. The Thai chicken salad is delicious -flavorful, cooked perfectly, and fairly healthy. The panko shrimp is delicious too and definitely will satisfy the fried food cravings, possibly canceling out the "healthy" salad, but hey, we are here to pawty! read more
Arriving early for an event at the Chase Center, we decided to check out SPARK Social, which was about a block and a half away. It's been several years since I've been here, but there are a lot more trucks here now. Checking out the options, there were about 20 trucks here. Having tried some of these trucks from Off the Grid, I wanted to try something new. Wicked Star caught my eye when I saw pork belly as one of their menu items. After placing my order, I got an order pickup buzzard and went to find a table in the large dining area. About ten minutes, I got the buzz and went to get my order. Pork Belly and Lime Bowl consisted of crispy roasted pork belly, cilantro, sliced lime, Thai chili with Thai-Vietnamese fish sauce over rice and it came with a green salad in oil and vinegar. The pork belly was moist with each piece having some crispy skin on it. Good flavor especially the citrusy taste from the lime pulp mixed in. I enjoyed the pork belly and lime bowl and felt it was reasonable at $12.95. Would order it again. read more
My friend highly rated their Pork Belly Bowl, so I decided to give Wicked Star a try. Their Pork Belly Bowl consisted of crispy roasted pork belly covered with a chili-fish sauce, salad, and rice. The pork belly was very flavorful, however, some of the pieces were on the dry side. I like the lime flavoring, as it cut the fattiness of the pork. The salad also added a refreshing balance between the pork and rice. Overall, Wicked Star is definitely one of the top food trucks at Spark Social for me! read more

Wicked Star is located inside Spark Social Street Food Park. There were tons of other food trucks but the Pork Belly and Lime Bowl caught our attention! We ordered: - Pork Belly and Lime Bowl Crispy roasted pork belly, cilantro, sliced lime, Thai chili, and fried shallots mixed in a Thai-Vietnamese fish sauce. - Crab Fried Rice Bowl Fried rice, real crab meat, scrambled egg, yellow onion, garlic, fried shallots, black pepper, and cilantro. - Thai Chicken Salad Fire grilled chicken on a bed of romaine lettuce, arugula, avocado, cucumber, and tomato salad mix. Tossed in a garlic pepper vinaigrette dressing. - Passion Fruit Limeade The Pork Belly was crispy with a strong fish sauce flavor. There wasn't a lot of crab in the rice bowl.. The grilled chicken was good but I preferred the Pork Belly more. Lastly, the Passion Fruit Limeade was just passion fruit juice. Overall, not sure if I'd come back since the food and customer service were ok. The cashier guy wasn't that friendly either. read more

Recently visited Spark Social Food Park in SF and decided to check out Wicked Star SF's Vietnamese Sticky Wings. Man out-of all the chicken wings I sampled that day. They hit it out the park. Nice size chicken wings, great flavor and love the sweet Thai chili flavor. Sweet/Spicy flavor. Definitely would recommend them to any lover of chicken wings.. I give them a 4 out of 5. read more

I love this place! Especially this line pork belly bowl! I came right when it opened and got my food within 5 min. The service was incredible fast. The server gave a nice vibe. The hint of lime is the perfect enough of bitterness and the rice is really well marinated as well. Only thing is that a large portion of the meat is the fatty part of the pork. How can this place be anything less than four stars??? The portions they give you are huge! The fire grilled chicken bowl was enough for two meals, and the chicken was tender and delicious. I also love the white lotus, which is crisp, tender, and vegan without sacrificing on flavor. Their sauces are so tasty! All bowls come with a small amount of salad, which makes me feel a little less guilty about all the rice and meat and helps balance the meal. Maybe other reviewers expect less rice or something, but this is the perfect ratio for me. Service is always pretty fast, which isn't true of all the Spark Social vendors. This is one of my go-to spots. read more
