Food and service is always excellent. One of my favorite places to eat in El Paso.

I had the most unique pho experience I have ever had in my life. And it was unique in all the best ways. When I first walked in I could tell this wasn't your traditional pho restaurant. The tables and setting are traditional for a Vietnamese restaurant but some of the liquor choices were definitely not, aka the homemade white sangria sitting on the front counter (it's tasty!). Yeah, definitely not very Vietnamese. A gentleman came up to me serve me and I asked him how long the place had been open. He told me about 3 years. I then asked him if the owners were Vietnamese and he gave me a look and said that he was the owner and that he was Russian! I've never been to a pho place that wasn't owned and run by Vietnamese. I have to say I was absolutely intrigued now and I started asking him questions. Well, I ended up ordering his special-the Wicked Pho which is a huge bowl of pho with a thick piece of ox tail and really thick slices of pork belly. It's a lot of food. Throughout the meal we talked some more and one of the things I asked him is if had been to Vietnam yet. He told he was dying to go and that he'd love to go for just 1 year and cook there. He said he didn't even have to get paid, he just wanted to go and cook! That's some serious passion. He also said he didn't really advertise his place and pointed around and his exact words were almost, "this place is lonely" because there was only 1 other occupied table at the time (it was a week night). But he said he preferred that so this way he could dedicate more time giving the kind of customer service that he wanted. Again, that's some serious passion. So the pho is not only really solid (ask him how many seeds he uses to cook it and how many other spices he keeps in his kitchen!) cooked hours (if I remember correctly, 16 hours!) but the Russian owner and cook has a real passion for his cooking and love for far eastern cuisine. The pho is a bit pricey but totally worth coming for. You'll never find another Russian owned pho restaurant the rest of your life. read more

After a super intense work out my husband and I were seeking something not heavy for dinner so we decided pho was a good idea and we were definitely not disappointed. With a super welcoming atmosphere and really nice decore Wicked Pho is truly an amazing place. We started off with the pork belly spring rolls and though we thought $9 for 2 spring rolls was pretty pricy the taste was definitely superb. My husband had the all meat pho which included oxtail, shrimp, chicken, and beef. My husband said it was bursting with flavor and didn't even feel it needed any of the garnishments. I had the brisket and rare beef pho and man my taste buds were so freakin happy. We definitely can not wait to come back and try some of the other dishes this place has to offer. read more

Spicy Beef Soup broth was really good. The beef was a little tough but I think it is how the dish is prepared. Every spicy need soup I have had has been different. This one had a thicker broth with a smoky undertone. I loved the bok choy in it. The beef spring roll was also spicy. I liked it but I wouldn't pair the two dishes together again because of the similar burn and beef taste. They have a great raspberry tea. The prices are reasonably set. In the service was fast and attentive. I would definitely recommend trying this place. read more

Truly wicked. When you go into a restaurant for the first time, and they have a dish bearing their name, you are obligated to try it. The Wicked Pho was a culinary delight. The tender oxtail and the pork belly paired well together with a broth layered in flavor. The rice noodles weren't dense and the bean sprouts were a perfect addition. This was my first time trying Pho, and best be known that I am coming back again. Great place for the family. All of our dishes (teriyaki bowl and drunken noodles) were flavorful and spiced just right. Especially the steak rolls and pan-fried dumplings. Can't wait to visit again. read more

Drunken noodle was one of my favorite dishes at Wicked Pho. However they have changed the type of noodle they use and it's not soft like before. The other dishes are very flavorful and unique. A lot of the dishes are heavy on the oil though. I loved the food here but in the past two years the quality of the dishes have decreased. read more

The food was mediocre. I ordered the drunken noodles and crab wontons. The drunken noodles were not good at all. Too salty. Omg. Like I'm thinking of running it under water it because whattttt?!!? The wontons, just there. Sad I spent over $30 on food that I did not enjoy . read more

Brand new restaurant, only open about two months, and it's location is in a small plaza next to the car wash and Pronto Insurance store. This is a family run business and we met the owner and one of his family members. My boyfriend and I were greeted by a very friendly woman, and the owner, and were seated right away/given menus. The service here is very warm, very friendly and you can tell the owners/family want to connect with their guests personally- loved this! The menu is two pages, very limited for a traditional pho or Vietnamese restaurant. From what I understand, this restaurant is the owner's version and favorites of pho soups and other Asian inspired dishes. I ordered the fresh summer rolls and a medium pho with brisket and rare beef. I normally order a ph đc bit option if I see it, but the one listed on the menu was $15. That price is steep for a combination option, but in fairness, the menu said it did include oxtail. The summer rolls were very thick/large and were a standard shrimp/noodle/lettuce filling. I was a little disappointed that the carrots weren't pickled and although the ingredients were very fresh, the summer rolls just felt like they were missing "something". The peanut sauce and the hoisin were both a little too salty as well. The medium pho was a decent size, enough for one person. The menu had it listed as $7.95 and you pick two protein options. Again, price is a little steep for only including two proteins (and size). I believe they ran out of Asian style meatballs and basil, so double check before your order. The pho itself was decent, I wouldn't say watery like other reviews, and the presentation of the garnishes/condiments is very beautiful. Overall, the service and presentation of this place stands out. It wouldn't be my first pick to come eat pho in El Paso unless there's a menu changes. I will be back though because of the service and to try other menu items. read more

My favorite soup here is the Shrimp Pho. I usually order to go and every time I arrive it's usually quite empty. The service is decent, except for my encounter with a gentlemen who was rude and ignored me while I waited at the register for 10 min. I called him over after 10 min and he rolled his eyes and didn't say a word to me. My food was sitting on the counter the whole entire time. There wasn't even anyone he had to serve, he was just associating with another employee. But I'm still giving them 3 stars for the quality of the food. I may or may not come back and that's because of the service I received. This location is convenient for Montwood high school, since it's only a 2 minute walk there. The worst time to come is usually during lunch hours or right after school let's out. The food here is pretty good! read more

We were starving and decided to try something new, unfortunately the food was overpriced. The quality doesn't justify the price at all, when I bit into the spring roll I though something tasted wrong and that's when I realized the lettuce was rotten. We also got the vermicelli bowl and it was more like a salad than anything else, however it was simultaneously too greasy and over seasoned. The main reason for me to consider coming here was the oxtail ph. The broth was aromatic and as flavorful as any other top-notch Vietnamese places in the city. The oxtail was phenomenal. It was tender, savory, and easily came off the bone. The portion size was quite generous. I was impressed to find Thai options as well and offer vegan-friendly dishes. The chef says he is willing to customize heat level if it is not too busy. I look forward to a diabolically spicy oxtail Thai curry. read more

Food: So we tried their Vietnamese sandwich with charbroiled chicken to start off, which was amazing! Our main dishes we're chicken pad Thai and rare beef Phó , both were delicious and a healthy portion. All the food was well seasoned and it will stand up to any top notch Vietnamese restaurants, like Phó Tres Bien. To close off our meal, we had a coconut boba smoothie. The base was good but their tapioca boba itself was mediocre. Service: Our server was very friendly and attentive (granted we were the only two there at 9 pm on a Saturday night...LOL). The food came out fairly quickly, which is crucial when you are HANGRY! Environment: It was clean and welcoming. The decor is spot on to most Vietnamese places. The restaurant was a bit warm, which isn't ideal if you are eating a big bowl of HOT phó. Overall: out of 5. I recommend you try this place out. An honest feedback from a loyal customer here for just over 3 years now. The Pho broth, which is the highlight of a good Pho soup is very bland, almost tasting like a water mixed with beef cubes. I noticed it and even my kids noticed it. We gave it a try not only once but 3 times thinking maybe it was a fluke or they ran out of broth and couldn't make more in time..., but sadly it wasn't. The Pho broth is extremely disappointing and we probably won't be going back anytime soon. This is not for me. I ordered the Wicked Pho special for $18 and I thought this would be their master piece since it's got their name on it and all but what I got was way below my expectations. Before I continue I just wanted to say that the people there are friendly and very attentive so service was good. Back to the food....their special contains Ox-tail and Pork belly, ox-tail was just boiled so that had no flavor in it at all. Pork belly was just light seared without flavor. Both of the above is not Pho for everything was lacking flavor.....this is what I would call a home cook meal by the wife whom tried to cook pho for the first time. How can anyone call this Pho?? My usual spot was closed and this was what was closest, honestly I regret it. I ordered the most basic meal, egg rolls and rare steak pho. As soon as I saw the egg rolls I knew I was going to be disappointed. They were not made with spring roll wrapper, they were made with wontons wrappers so they were puffed. The fish oil had a seasoning I could not make out but was not the best. I was really disappointed with the pho, the meat was cut too thick and too big I had to cut it to be able to eat it. The broth was more of a minty flavor rather than the salty bone broth flavor, and they didn't have any tendon. They served like 3 times the noodle which caused the broth to get cold too soon. They sliced the jalapeños super thin and didn't allow to add any spice to the broth and no basil either. Definitely would not recommend for basic pho and will not be back. The service was good, but that's about it. read more
