Took my classic car here in 2019 that was running fine for some work on the carb which was burning fuel a bit too rich, and new valve seals. Got it back - two months later - running extremely rough and vibrating (they had suggested putting new bearings on one of the wheels which I foolishly agreed too). A mechanic named Alex was the one who apparently did all the 'work' on it. When I got it home (after paying them over $1100 for ruining things) I sent a polite complaint letter to Roger Grenon, the owner and he brushed me off and basically said that's what can happen when you own an old classic car. Dan picked up my car to do repairs. Once he had it in his shop and had a look at it he gave me the rundown of what would be needed to do the repairs. I paid by mastercard (bye bye money) and the installment was to go toward ordering parts and some labour. The car would be kept indoors over the winter and worked on at their leisure. I showed up in the Spring to find my car had sat outside the entire winter, rotting away, and one tiny part of work had been done. Parts were not ordered. The new manager assured me they would be on top of getting things well on their way. I contacted them a month later to find out the shop was shut down and I still have no idea where my car is. I've filed a stolen car report with the OPP. If you ever see the name Dan Scott, just walk the other way. This guy is a complete crook and will do nothing but take your money and damage your property. read more

Waste of time. Dan Scott will promise the moon and deliver nothing. Came to my home to see my vehicle, provided a fixed price to strip old paint, prepare body and apply a new paint job. He wanted over 70% deposit. Was very pushy about getting vehicle in to the shop even though I wanted to wait until my Covid delayed parts arrived from the US. He claimed he could get most of the vehicle done before the parts arrived. I finally agreed to a +35% deposit. before getting my vehicle he was contacting me repeatedly, once he had my vehicle and $$ he would barely respond to my inquiries. The n he had someone from his shop contact me and indicate that they wanted to charge more money and use very cheap paint. Dan obviously made a poor deal on this and wanted to bail on it. Now he is refusing to return the deposit claiming that to remove two fenders, the bumpers and lights and some of the paint was worth $2,000. The fenders, bumpers and lights were removed in a few hours. Before he had my money, nothing was problem and everything would be wonderful. After he had my money everything was a problem....Lot's of fast talk here. Picked up my '88 Wagoneer and am having a reputable shop do the work. read more
