My review is based on the excellent customer service provided by this location over the phone! It has been extremely convenient and helpful to be able to reach out via text or phone call. I'm a single mother and I work full time, needless to say it's difficult for me to find the time to make it to the location during business hours. I have 3 kids now & I have to say, over the phone appointments are so much easier & convenient then having to go to the office & wait. I've been to the Bellflower location a couple of times and usually employees are very nice and helpful, specially Carmen the lactation consultant. Today unfortunately, that wasn't the case. Gloria helped me out today and was very rude. I didn't even feel comfortable answering her questions. I wanted so bad to ask for someone else to help me but felt bad about it. She had an attitude and did all of my WIC Vouchers wrong. She seemed in a hurry to take her break, well at least that's what I heard her saying to her coworker. Hopefully this lady gets a job that she really enjoys because it seems like she's very unhappy. We all go to WIC for assistance but that doesn't mean that their employees should treat us with disrespect. read more

I don't know why there are so many negative reviews for this location. I was assisted by Carmen in enrolling for WIC services and she provided me a very pleasant experience. She was kind, patient, and very informative throughout the whole process. She was even able to get me my card the same day so I was able to get groceries for my son. I've been with this site for 5 months now, and let me tell you, I've loved every experience I've had with them. They are soft spoken and very informative. I've always been "in and out" due to very little wait time. Even on days I come in and it's packed, my wait time to be called has been a max of 7-10 minutes. Love this site in Bellflower!! read more

I thought this would be the right wic office for me since I live near by , turns out some ladies are rude especially the one I went up too to ask what was taking so long ( mind you I had been there for almost 2 HOURS ) , she didn't even look me in the eyes to respond back to my question and she just stared at the computer while she was talking to me . YES VERY UNPROFESSIONAL , staff doesn't do anything but sit at their desks, get up to the bathroom and talk to each other . I was so happy I had this office close to me but it was a disappointment . Horrible service! The girls that work there are SOOOOOOO lazy!! I am not kidding! IT sometimes takes them over an hour to even call my name . I see the ones not at their desk just walking around ,talking to their co-workers and not doing shit. Seriously,I've only been there twice because I tried to give them a second chance. But I can't believe how horrible their work ethic is. would never recommend this place. Every time I go in the ladies here are super rude and have attitude. If you don't like your job, that's on you not the customers. On top of that, they make you do extra unnecessary work. For example, they sent me 3 times to the doctors office to get the same form signed because they don't know how to give specific information needed. They highlighted what needed to be filled out and missed more of what needed to be filled out. It's just always a waste of time coming. read more

I have been coming to this office since I had my first baby in 2015. I never had an issue with some of the ladies there nor I had to wait so long until yesterday. I had both of my toddlers with me and it was 1:30pm (lunchtime) the office only had about 4 people waiting in the lobby to get help. I said great it won't take long I can just go in and out, right! Well, it wasn't like that I waited about 2 hrs to get help and my kids were fussy and hungry. I had already finished all the snacks I had for them. I could have easily gone to Jack but I'm really trying to not get them use to eating junk food. Anyways that's besides the point. I counted about 4 or 5 employees including the receptionist. Some of them taking their lunch at their wrong time which it overlaps with other employees lunch. I know this because they don't care if we hear them talk. Which is very unprofessional of them. And know you have 2 employees out in lunch which slows down the process of taking care of the people who are waiting. Your priority is to take care of us and process our stuff ASAP so we can get out of there. One of the ladies said that they were under staffed and they were in lunch which it slows down everything. Honestly lady, it is not our fault that your office is so unorganized; and who ever is the manager should always have people as backup that they can count on to come in when some one else calls in. Or maybe you guys don't have backup people because they hate working there I'm not sure. I mean it's not only me who is complaining about this situation about your office and something needs to be done or maybe your manager is not doing her job right. I'm going to find out if there's a gov page were I can submit my complain so they can pay you guys a visit because this is ridiculous waiting there for so long. I have been in the CSV field for about 8yrs and wow you guys have a lot to learn. Suggestions for your office: (think outside the box for heaven sake) Demographics Mother's and children. Why not have some snacks available for us if you know we will be waiting there a long time. Especially for the kids who get hungry constantly. You are a gov office I'm sure you can suggest a budget for that. Another thing I saw a big TV in the lobby available why not turn it on put some learning cartoons while there are kids there so they can be entertained. You see how easily it is to come out with ideas of how you can improve your customer service. Anyways I see that you reply to everyone who puts a negative comment and honestly don't even bother. Just take care of us and move faster, and maybe, try to imply the suggestions I have provided or come out with your own ones. Lastly and most importantly HIRE more people. read more

So I was recommended here because of their Lactation consultant. I had just had my baby and I couldn't get him to latch, I didn't have an appointment but they said I could still see her. She was beyond helpful & she actually was the one that told me to go to the ER because my baby was dehydrated. For that, I give them stars BUT what totally ruined it for me was the lady who I'm not sure if she is the one in charge or just registers information but she had me WAIT there to register, knowing I had to take my newborn baby to the hospital & she just took her time. She said that i NEEDED to finish the document part. I had already been part of wic for 8 months and she wanted me to re register in their office even though I never go there, it was just for the lactationist. I usually go to the Wilmington one. Also the receptionist, elder lady. Wow, she was SO MEAN. Gave everyone attitude & yelled out people's names. Other than that though, thank you to the lactationist, I have her to thank for my now healthy baby. If it weren't for her honestly, my baby would have gotten worse. read more

Staff is extremely rude, I've waited here more than an hour and a half. Restrooms aren't working sometimes and you have to go to jack in the box to use them. Don't recommend coming here, paramount wic office is better, less wait time and staff is better. read more

I love this WIC everyone is so postive and nice. Especially Clara Peralta. I love her she is so sweet and informative. The WIC facility is clean and neat with toys for the kids in the waiting. The last visit at this WIC Clara gave me great information about other programs. I am truly thankful for this WIC! read more
