    Trail ride

Great staff. Please note this IS NOT for ALL ages as many reviews suggest. Children under 7 are limited to parent-guided pony rides. Children 7 and 8 are tethered to a staff member. If you have young children, this is not for you unless you want the little pony ride around in a circle and honestly if all my kids were young it would be worth it to do just that. The trail you follow is pretty rough. Expect a lot of hills, a lot of rocks, a lot of horse flies (wear bug spray and long pants), and mud. Lean forward when the horse is walking uphill, lean back when the horse is descending down a slope. Keep your horse's face out of the horse butt in front of you. Honestly the hardest part is how slow you go, constantly pulling the reins to keep your horse going slow and away from a horse butt and in line. The horses are well trained and know the path and practically know what to do making you look like a professional. But as others have noted it would be nice to "ride free" a bit and not so packed in line when you go with a large group. Expect super sore sit bones for a week or more if you have a bony butt. I'll be wearing padding the next time I go. Visited July 2021 with extended family of over 10 people (the 5 year old with a parent was left out of the trail ride)

My daughter and I had amazing time riding with Janelle (sp?) and her family. Trail was cool. Learned about the farm including the tapping of maple syrup. Animals are well cared for. Highly recommend them!

My eight-year-old daughter who had never been on a horse went on a thirty minute ride and LOVED it.

A short google search later, we found Daisy Field Farms and spoke to the owner who was kind enough to find us a slot that matched our schedule. We even got 20mins late while getting there because our GPS totally screwed us over, but they were kind enough to wait and immediately got us horses when we got there. I got Stella who was a beautiful big horse, strong and obedient. We trotted with our horses in a single file over a small hill/mountain. I don't know what to call it, only trust me when I say this IT WAS BEAUTIFUL. The farm looks like it's come out of the pages of an adorable old school english farm illustration. There are wagons here and there, Dumbo the dog is super friendly, there are goats you can feed, and rabbits too. During the one hour ride, you're taken up and down and around a mountain, through forests and fields and by small lakes. It was a gorgeous day when we went and everything looked 10times prettier. The couple who run this place are super nice and the horses look very well taken care of. Summer vacations are on and their three adorable little grandsons were helping around the farm too. I was positively jealous and swear I never wanted to leave. I'll be back again for sure, this place just made me so so happy!

I had gone horseback riding once over the summer, but I am definitely a newbie and Linda guided us on what to do (ex: lean back when going downhill and lean forward when going uphill). I love that we got to walk AND trot and cross streams. My horse Sarge was a former NYPD horse and he was very good and well behaved (although he was quick and ate some grass before I could stop him while on the trail). After we finished, Linda helped take some photos of us and we got to meet the other horses in the stable. I would absolutely recommend coming here!!!

The stable and property is absolutely beautiful and it's not your run of the mill little trek around the property, it's 20 something acres with woods, fields and water to ride through. Bob immediately greeted us upon arrival then we were introduced to Linda, Olivia and the horses. You can tell from the get go how well cared for the horses are and how much they truly love doing what they do. I've been riding most of my life and they are able to match your horse to your level of riding whether it's just starting or intermediate. If you're looking for a personable experience that exceeds expectations, go to Braden Brook. We came here two days in a row and we will most definitely be traveling back here in the near future to ride again and experience the different seasons. Thank you Bob, Linda and Olivia for the experience :) Courtney & John

THIS PLACE IS DANGEROUS AND SHOULD BE AVOIDED AT ALL COST IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR FAMILY'S HEALTH…read moreAND WELL-BEING. Please read my entire review to see how this place really is. Horseback riding at this stable was the biggest nightmare I have ever experienced The beginning of the ride didn't show how bad the events would turn. For the first 40 minutes of the ride we had a great time until the guide decided to rope off my horse. Her dangerous behavior led to my left knee injury and me almost falling off the horse I rode, who was a 27 year old horse and very well behaved. The horse was very easy to ride and caused no problems to me as a rider. I indicated in a form that that I am an advanced equestrian and I've been around horses my whole life and I'm very comfortable riding horses both in the saddle and all around horses/stables. I got injured in a ride trail because of the guide's lack of imagination. She crushed my knee with her horse's weight twice as she approached me without getting off her horse and her horse walked against my left knee. She did that twice in opposite directions until I screamed from pain and that's when she got off her horse to rope my horse off properly. She took control of my horse with a rope and took the snaffle bit out of horses mouth as exemplified by the attached photo. I told the trail guide that I don't feel safe staying so close to her horse as horses kick and you need to keep your horse at least 4 feet behind another horse. This was also told me before our trail ride at the stable, the prison who gave us our helmets after we paid for the experience told us to stay 4 yards away from each other horses. In her response she told me that she knows better and disregarded my complaint about me feeling not safe after my left knee got crushed by the horse she was riding. The guide has also injured the horse I rode because she run him into a tree cutting severely skin on his head. She led my horse way too close to her horse and there was a tree. Her horse went right and because I couldn't control my horse with no snaffle bit she led my horse left and he hit his head against the tree as he was stuck on that rope that the guide held in her hand. I had no control of the horse I was riding as per attached photo with the snaffle bit taken out by the guide. Her horse went right next to a tree and mine went left. Then my horse jumped and kicked as he was hurt by the guide and I almost fell. If it wasn't for my riding experience I would have been right on the ground trampled by the injured horse. At that point I couldn't believe what kind of irresponsible guide this person was, so I I started recording with my cell phone everything that happened next to avoid another injury after my knee got crushed and the horse I rode got injured by the guide. As we arrived at the stable at the end of the hour trail, I politely reported the incident and my injury to the manager when we came back to the stable and the manager called the police calling me and my wife trespassers (sic!), after we paid $240 for 2 hours of trail horseback riding as we scheduled another hour at 4pm as well. The manager tried to scare us to leave. She called the police to report "trespassing" even though we were guests at the Pocono Manor and paid for resort stay and the horse rides in advance, The manager and the guide completely ruined our experience by acting rude, unprofessionally and with no empathy. She did not apologize or even offer ice for my injured knee. She was trying to intimidate us to leave. When the police arrived the manager lied to them and said that I ran her horse into the tree and in the attached photo you can clearly see that the snaffle bit is out so I had no control of the horse after it got roped off. The guide had full control of the horse I rode. This is the rudest and the least professional horseback riding facility I have seen. I grew up around horses and I've seen many stables around the world as I travel a lot and ride horses often. I've never experienced such terrible service and lack of empathy. With an injured knee and not even an apology or offering me some ice the manager decided to kick us out by calling the police and telling the cops that we are trespassing after I paid $240 for 2 hours of riding on easy trail trail and hundreds of dollars for our stay at Pocono Manor that was supposed to be a safe and pleasant experience for my wife and me. The horseback riding facility at the Pocono Manor Ranch, is a place that's dangerous for children and adults and should be avoided at all cost. Unqualified personnel endangers safety and health of the resort visitors as well as the animal welfare of the horses. I will spare you the photos of horse injuries as they are disturbing and traumatizing. Under no circumstances go there if you care about your family health or well-being. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST.
