We didn't realize it until now but he brought back kennel cough to our elder dog after his first visit. All worked out until latest boarding in April. We boarded our dog for two weeks. Two issues. First his AirTag was stolen. More worrying he has been dealing with kennel cough for over a month. Steroids did not help. He is on second round of antibiotics he's only 3 so not an age issue. Jd kennels tells me that no one would take air tag but how did it end up at dallas apartment complex? They told me no Other dog owners reported issues with kennel cough. But we didn't know what it was the last time. Hoping they can get us in touch with owners of dogs that were there at same time. I could not go on vacation with my family as someone has to stay with our dog. I will never board again!!!!

I was a regular customer (2 years) until they almost blinded my dog! This was in December of 2023…read more I dropped off my dog for her regular groom. I told the groomer that my pup had a cyst removed 14 days ago just over her eye (the vet cleared Marley to get groomed and said it had healed " beautifully") and to "please avoid that area". The groomer did the opposite... i picked up and my poor dog couldn't open her eye. I spoke to the manager and she said that "they must have gotten some soap in her eyes". I was told by the "manager" that an and all vet bills would be covered. After an emergency vet visit and $700 later. My dog had an ulcer Over 3/4 of cornea and the vet said there was "substantial amount of soap in her eye". I call the owner either Tim or Tom and he refused to reimburse me for my vet bills and completely dodged all my Follow up calls. Shitty customer service!! if you value the health of your dog, do not take them here!!

I've gone back and fourth on if I should write a review... over all I'm disappointed. This place is…read moreexpensive, but it's close and they seem friendly, so if the cut was good, I'd deal. I booked an appointment to take my first dog in, explained what I wanted and they said "no problem, we'll ask you again upon drop off ". When taking him to his appointment I reiterated what I wanted. My husband had to pick him up, it didn't occur to me to make sure he knew to double check the cut was right. When they got home, I realized they only took 1/2 inch off instead of taking him down to a 1/2 inch, so his hair was way too long. I called about a week later (confirmed it was too long to, was trying to just live with it). I mentioned it when making an appointment for another dog hoping that giving them more business but letting them know the mix up would encourage them to fix it. He's itty bitty so an extra inch+ makes a huge difference, and he's missing teeth so he's a messy eater. I also mentioned it when taking dog #2 in... nothing. No offer to fix it, no discount, out $150 before the tip on two yorkies. Pretty disappointed, had they offered to correct the link, we'd keep going, because both boys came back happy, I just won't pay 20% over what we had been at the vet and gamble having to do it so soon again.

Over the past year I have been taking my dogs to Pappy's Pet Lodge usually about 3 days at week, and am so thankful to have found this place and most of all team that had helped me manage my dogs while going through a difficult time and commuting into the city. They have gone over and beyond being patient and flexible with me and my crazy schedule and am so thankful as it has made a difference taking my dogs to a place i know they enjoy with people that treat them well. Peggy, Justice, Tyra, and Bob thank you for the excellent service and to your back of house team's assistance.

ABSOLUTE NEGLIGENCE !!! Second time i brought my fur baby…read morehere and second time i am not happy with the service i dont even know why i gave it a second chance. My cat is the most calm cat you could imagine he is so sweet and friendly with everyone and both times ive gotten him back from his "paws up" grooming that he's been extremely skidding and timid of everything around him. They cut my cats whiskers which is known world wide as a BIG NO. As if the service isn't pricey enough i cannot believe they treat animals as if they are toys. When i called to ask why his whiskers were cut i was given the pathetic excuse that it was an "accident". How do you even get a job in a his position to take care of people's babies if you aren't going to do it properly or treat them like your own. My cat is scarred from this experience and i will NOT be returning to this negligent grooming spot and i wouldn't recommended it to anyone who cares about the well being of their pets , especially if you don't want their behavior to DRASTICALLY change in the few hours from when you drop them off to pick them up.
