    Scones galore!
    Kayla R.

This place is awesome! Found it on a whim one day while I was next door at the gas station. I'm so happy I stopped in! The baked goods are delicious! I love getting a stack of cookies and bringing it home to my husband. Snickerdoodle is the best one, and don't let anyone tell you differently. Customer service isn't too bad! They're very busy making baked goodness, so you may have to wait a minute to get helped. Understandable! The shop itself is so cute. It's very minimal, but they spruced it up with signage. Everything is broken down by category! If you're looking for a bakery with minimally processed baked goods, try this place out!

    Looks aren't everything

Bread shelf was fairly empty ay 9am, but they had some samples and enough breakfast food to make you happy. Unfortunately, the Blueberry scone looked great, but somehow despite a huge presence of blueberries, it did not taste fruity at all. It tasted like a plain, dense flavorless cake. Also bought some bread bowls, but how good can those really be?

Found this spot driving by. When you come in smells delicious. We browsed around and bought a few items. I had to eat the pumpkin cake right away and it was delicious. We took home some granola and jalapeño cheese bread. It was such a hit at home that it didn't last long. You can place an order for pickup or have it delivered. They have a variety of breads, cookies, cakes and sandwiches. So if you're in the area swing by.

    Archaic grains bread

It's a carb lover's dream here. Bread, cookies, muffins, cinnamon rolls.... and a lot of this stuff is healthy too! I came here on a carbtastic mission to get a loaf of bread. I liked the variety available, ranging from your standard country white to more exotic sounding bread such as archaic grains (Tbd where you can find antebellum or antediluvian grains though :p). After browsing I got an archaic grains bread, pumpkin chocolate chip bread, and blueberry scone. The archaic grains bread has a whole grain wheat base with spelt, pumpkin seed, teff, quinoa, black sesame seeds, sunflower seeds and uses honey as the sweetener. I appreciated that they list what origin the grains and nuts are from, and I dig any place that uses teff in their product. It's such an underutilized grain! The bread was pre-sliced, with a dense crumb and soft texture. It would be a good bread to use for sandwiches. Quite honestly I thought the scones were cookies because they were so flat. I don't think there was a label on the shelf they were on so the only way I found out they were actually scones was when I looked at my receipt. I enjoyed the blueberry flavor of the scones, and it had a lightly crisp outer edge. The inner part was a little too doughy tasting for me though. The pumpkin chocolate chip bread was probably my favorite of the three items. It had a good balance of pumpkin, spices, and chocolate chips. The bread was soft and lightly sweet with a nice outer crust. It's made with whole wheat flour too so you can feel better that you're eating something a little healthier for you. Service was friendly and they have a points system through Five Stars.

    So much breads!

Fresh bread, baked goods and delicious sandwiches. You can't go wrong with coming here! I love fresh baked bread and nothing beats that fresh baked bread smell walking into the shop. What's great about the bread is it's all natural so there's not added preservatives. Got to love that! We came here to try out the sandwiches which you can choose all the various bread and make your own sandwich to your liking. I went with the sun dried tomato bread with veggies. The bread is so soft and tastes really fresh with a nice blend of great veggies. Super good! Great thing is they also give you a cookie and a pickle so it's pretty filling. My wife got the egg salad sandwich on honey wheat and was super yummy! They also had some great deals on lemon bars and cinnamon rolls so we had to grab those. Of course it's delicious and tastes like real food that doesn't have all those preservatives. Makes me feel less guilt? Haha Excellent place to grab a bite and great selection of fresh breads and treats. Ohhh and they have a sample bar to try out the breads. So good!

Super delicious bakery with a big variety of options. So many different breads and goodies. I wish I had a reason to buy more! We got a blueberry scone and a cinnamon roll. The scone was really good for what it was, scones aren't super flavorful and either was this one. It was very soft and subtle in the taste. The cinnamon roll was soft and delicious. It had the perfect amount of butter and cinnamon. It was probably the best cinnamon roll I've ever had!

We had already attended the frys on shea baking night making scones where we just helped the chef... It was more an informational class to sit across the bar because I suppose their insurance doesn't allow you to really get involved there. Other courses in the valley are larger scale classrooms with more students where you won't get as involved and you may as well watch a video online for free. I have to say when I talked to Maggie about how the structure was and if we cooked or helped, I was happy to hear that her response was "oh, I give you an intro and sample how to make things but you're doing the prep and the cooking." She gave an intro that is great for beginners and culinary experts alike. Pay attention during her review of recipes though, because the rest of the class will be sharing your dish when you are done preparing it. The kitchen environment allowed for plenty of room for six people in our class to both cook and move around safely as well as plenty of preparation knives, cutting boards, measuring and mixing bowls, A beautiful set of all clad cookware and a gorgeous Viking 6 top gas grill. If you're concerned that it needs to be a professional kitchen for classes I'd say she and her husband setup the kitchen in a professional manner. My wife and I absolutely loved our date night, the prep work together and with the other classmates, and the food to top it off was awesome! My advice to this : Be hungry- there will be a ton of food to enjoy! Bring wine :) Take notes so you can make the dishes again at home. Thank you Maggie!

She taught us not just how to cook, but how to prep, basic knife handling, and an interesting way to prepare garlic. The first part of the class we all sat with our recipes and watched Maggie in the kitchen while she explained everything. Then we split into groups of 2 and tackled one recipe for each group. I was looking for a fun date night and stumbled upon Taz's cooking classes, which all seem to focus on different Asian themes. Mark H. and I have tried repeatedly to cook Thai and Indian curries without any success, so I signed us up for the Korean BBQ night. Little did I know that we would be cooking a Korean BBQ FEAST. We cooked for about 3 hours. Each recipe independently seemed manageable, but who eats a single item at a Korean BBQ? My favorite dishes ended up being the Korean potato salad and, of course, the meat. At the end, we sat together family-style and devoured massive quantities of delicious food that we'd all cooked together. Looking back on the night, there were so many recipes and tips and tricks that there's no way I can keep it all straight. Luckily Taz sent us home with a mini cook book of the recipes we had created! One of the biggest pluses of his course is that he focuses on the ingredients and where to find them - turns out our curries probably weren't going so well since we were getting all our ingredients at Fry's or Safeway. 10/10 will go back again for another night. Can't wait to learn how to cook a good Thai dish!
