There were so many pies, cookies and breads, including some unique and out of season things like cinnamon crispies and walnut pumpkin bread. I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door and I ordered a chicken salad sandwich. You can choose from many of their different breads, add lots of different toppings and get a cookie and a pickle spear for free. They also have chips and side salads. The sandwich came out very quickly and tasted delicious! I love the idea of buying bread fresh from a local bakery and might just have to start getting my bread here! A lot of local bakeries sell fancy loaves but I like that this place has regular bread you would get at the store to make sandwiches. This place is awesome! Found it on a whim one day while I was next door at the gas station. I'm so happy I stopped in! The baked goods are delicious! I love getting a stack of cookies and bringing it home to my husband. Snickerdoodle is the best one, and don't let anyone tell you differently. Customer service isn't too bad! They're very busy making baked goodness, so you may have to wait a minute to get helped. Understandable! The shop itself is so cute. It's very minimal, but they spruced it up with signage. Extremely misleading. "Chemical-free" is a HUGE advertisement paste it on to their entire front window.... And yet the flower that they use is enriched. They need to start buying the organic non-GMO non-enriched flower from Costco, rather than buying it local from someone who does something crappy like enriching their local flour. Not only do their bagged items not have that ingredient list on them (illegally by the way) But when I told the lady who checked on the flour that they use that folic acid is a chemical she rudely and dismissively said "okay." When I stood there and waited for her to continue she finally said, "I will let him [the owner I guess] know". Please let me know when you resource your flour and when your goods are actually chemical-free instead of false advertising, because I would love to change this review and have a healthy option for our family. I absolutely love this bakery! I come almost every week and buy their white bread. We make sandwiches, toast and just eat it plain (it's soooo good!)! It's also our go to with gifts for friends and family. The owner is kind and knowledgeable. All the staff are friendly and enjoyable to see every week. If you're close to this bakery, definitely check them out! We've also tried the cinnamon bread and cinnamon apple bread. Both amazing for toast or French toast. The jalapeño bread is yummy. It's a carb lover's dream here. Bread, cookies, muffins, cinnamon rolls.... and a lot of this stuff is healthy too! I came here on a carbtastic mission to get a loaf of bread. I liked the variety available, ranging from your standard country white to more exotic sounding bread such as archaic grains (Tbd where you can find antebellum or antediluvian grains though :p). After browsing I got an archaic grains bread, pumpkin chocolate chip bread, and blueberry scone. The archaic grains bread has a whole grain wheat base with spelt, pumpkin seed, teff, quinoa, black sesame seeds, sunflower seeds and uses honey as the sweetener. I appreciated that they list what origin the grains and nuts are from, and I dig any place that uses teff in their product. It's such an underutilized grain! The bread was pre-sliced, with a dense crumb and soft texture. It would be a good bread to use for sandwiches. Quite honestly I thought the scones were cookies because they were so flat. I don't think there was a label on the shelf they were on so the only way I found out they were actually scones was when I looked at my receipt. I enjoyed the blueberry flavor of the scones, and it had a lightly crisp outer edge. The inner part was a little too doughy tasting for me though. The pumpkin chocolate chip bread was probably my favorite of the three items. It had a good balance of pumpkin, spices, and chocolate chips. The bread was soft and lightly sweet with a nice outer crust. It's made with whole wheat flour too so you can feel better that you're eating something a little healthier for you. What's great about the bread is it's all natural so there's not added preservatives. Got to love that! We came here to try out the sandwiches which you can choose all the various bread and make your own sandwich to your liking. I went with the sun dried tomato bread with veggies. The bread is so soft and tastes really fresh with a nice blend of great veggies. Super good! Great thing is they also give you a cookie and a pickle so it's pretty filling. My wife got the egg salad sandwich on honey wheat and was super yummy! They also had some great deals on lemon bars and cinnamon rolls so we had to grab those. I've had Whole Grain Natural Bread bookmarked to try for a long time. I knew it was a place I wanted to try when I saw pictures of the cinnamon rolls and pot pies. I had a medical appointment in the area and figured it was the perfect opportunity to treat myself. I looked around and contemplated getting a small pie but I had my heart set on a cinnamon roll. The cinnamon rolls are nice and large. I grabbed one and continued to look around. The breads looked amazing but I had plenty of bread at home. Knowing that I had another medical appointment coming up I decided to get bread next week. I did find a package of dinner rolls that was perfect for dinner that night. I never saw any information about the pot pies in the store. I get to the register to pay and the total is a lot higher than I figured in my head. That was because I was charged double for everything I purchased. Luckily I caught it and they corrected it before I paid. Now to the products I bought. The cinnamon roll was terrible - dry and hard! I ended up throwing it away. The dinner rolls were good. They will be eaten but not something I'll crave. The big issue with the diner rolls was that there were only 10 in the package. I thought that was an odd number for a package of rolls. Then I read the package and there was suppose to be 12. I'm just disappointed in my experience with Whole Grain Natural Bread. read more

I would give 0 stars if I could. Walked in two weeks prior to Xmas Eve to order special red and green dinner rolls that I've ordered for years, paid for the order with a pick up time of 1pm. Planned my whole day of errands around the pick up time. Receive a call at 0930 in the morning saying the rolls won't be ready until 3pm. I call, and get told they don't have a lot of orders for the red and green, so they have to stop production to wash down equipment because of the dye. Makes complete sense, I totally understand. However, it's not like this is new, they've been doing these rolls for years. So...how we feel, it's a "small" order, push them to the end because they aren't important to us, a mere inconvenience. Add insult to injury, paid for part of the order with a gift card, and they won't refund us that money either. We've been a loyal customer for years, we choose to do business with a small business, and now they've lost our loyalty. I used to work close by to this place years ago and I remember the bread being amazing and the sandwiches always being spot on. The staff was always so friendly and super welcoming I was in the area so I decided to swing by. The food was just as good however the staff (two younger girls) working the front counter had absolutely no personality and I felt like I was bothering them. They looked like they were being tortured, maybe they were having a bad day but definitively not someone that should be dealing with the guests.
