Taz explaining the origin of Jamaican Festival Dumplings & Root Beer Spiced Apples. Both were new and delicious flavors to me!

Taz is incredibly professional and prepared. He does a great job of instructing the group to complete a five course meal in the appropriate amount of time without micro managing or just doing it himself. He was hands on only when needed, encouraging, and had a positive attitude. We did this as a team building event which is precisely how it worked. We were each given the opportunity to help wherever we'd like and participate how we wish, we came together to keep things moving and hit our target of completing in time for the pork loin to be completed as soon as finished enjoying the Caribbean Papaya, Mango, and Avocado Salad with Honey Lime Dressing. I had never had a salad like that before, it is not something I would ever order but I am so glad I had this chance to try it. Second best only to the Trinidad Potato Pie it was very refreshing & flavorful. And we made it all from scratch, short of growing the fruits ourselves, it all came from us. I highly suggest inviting Taz to teach a class for you. He did a wonderful job, he has an interesting career path to share on what got him here and we can all be thankful he decided to let his path take him here. He's the right guy for the job. If I were in AZ (I'm in MN), I would bring my family to learn from him and I'd schedule another class with my friends. It was a great & different experience!

All of the recipes were easy to follow (and we enjoyed Taz's tidbits of knowledge on each dish and it's ingredients).

A fun spot to visit! They offer a tour and a fun store that you can get olive oil, spreads, chocolate bars and tangential products. You can sample the olive oil but there's nothing to dip it in so you'd just be ingesting pure oil; it would have been nice to have a pretzel or bread to dip! I would have wanted everything to be made there but for example the pastas and pasta sauces weren't. And they sell other products from elsewhere. If I'm making a trip here, I'd want to buy things that are primarily made here. They also have several dining options (not sure how they're all related). I was pleased with the food we ordered: huge artichoke calzone (soft dough and good filling) for $22 and fish and chips (excellent fries), as well as a bakery that sells cupcakes, scones, cakes, cookies, brownies as well as gelato. We liked the cookies and scone though the latter didn't have the usual consistency of a scone). It was interesting that their Italian cookies were actually slightly cheaper purchased at the counter vs the already packaged box. They also sell cerreta individually wrapped candies. They have indoor and outdoor seating if you want to eat there. Employees were very friendly. I'm sure it is a more pleasurable experience going when there aren't a lot of crowds, as it is a tourist spot and has overflow parking.

We had already attended the frys on shea baking night making scones where we just helped the chef... It was more an informational class to sit across the bar because I suppose their insurance doesn't allow you to really get involved there. Other courses in the valley are larger scale classrooms with more students where you won't get as involved and you may as well watch a video online for free. I have to say when I talked to Maggie about how the structure was and if we cooked or helped, I was happy to hear that her response was "oh, I give you an intro and sample how to make things but you're doing the prep and the cooking." She gave an intro that is great for beginners and culinary experts alike. Pay attention during her review of recipes though, because the rest of the class will be sharing your dish when you are done preparing it. The kitchen environment allowed for plenty of room for six people in our class to both cook and move around safely as well as plenty of preparation knives, cutting boards, measuring and mixing bowls, A beautiful set of all clad cookware and a gorgeous Viking 6 top gas grill. If you're concerned that it needs to be a professional kitchen for classes I'd say she and her husband setup the kitchen in a professional manner. My wife and I absolutely loved our date night, the prep work together and with the other classmates, and the food to top it off was awesome! My advice to this : Be hungry- there will be a ton of food to enjoy! Bring wine :) Take notes so you can make the dishes again at home. Thank you Maggie!

She taught us not just how to cook, but how to prep, basic knife handling, and an interesting way to prepare garlic. The first part of the class we all sat with our recipes and watched Maggie in the kitchen while she explained everything. Then we split into groups of 2 and tackled one recipe for each group. When we were done, our reward was the amazing food we cooked! Every dish complimented the others spectacularly. I cannot wait to make these again at home. Thank you Maggie for a lovely evening!

Chef Leo was super fun and friendly, the space was clean and welcoming. The menu they have each time is different as well. We did a five course meal and was able to take home the recipes as well. Each station was properly manned and chef Leo did not assign people to it to give us all freedom to pick what we wanted to do. The equipment was great and we didn't have issues with the instructions. It's bring your own booze to drink and they have a fridge there as well that you can put your drinks in. It was a very chill and fun atmosphere and I would recommend this for anyone that's looking for a fun experience with a group of friends or even a date night. The food was plenty for the amount of people there and we even had some cool take our boxes for left overs which was so nice! I'd definitely come again and I've already shared this with other people!

We signed up for the Blankets & Besties workshop, where you make a chunky blanket. You get to choose your color from a list and note it when you register on their website. It was $85 before tax and came with 5 skeins of yarn, with the option to add more (I think for an additional $15). I also put in the notes on my registration the names of my friends so that we could sit together. The workshop was at 6pm on a Friday and lasted about two hours. There was my group of three and three others, plus the owner/instructor Lauren. Her instructions were easy to follow, and she would jump in if we needed help. I made a few errors, and she was able to fix them for me. I ended up making my loops too loose on the outside and too tight on the inside, so my blanket came out a bit small. But I think it was decent for my first attempt. It's so soft. I keep it on my couch to use as a lap blanket. We all had a great time and would definitely come back to try other workshops. My coworker had tried one of the resin workshops and really liked it too.

We luckily had a nice couple across from us with experience using resin and helped us along the way. I also googled things along the way (like how much resin is too thick cause that was never mentioned). For the price I paid I should not be googling information or asking other customers.
