Our group was 20 minutes late due to unforeseen circumstances, but the company website advertises a 90-minute experience. If you add the 20 minutes lost plus getting a 30 minute show, that doesn't even add up to 60 minutes of the chef's time. Where are the extra 40 minutes? We requested additional proteins to meet the minimum spend because at the base price, we would have only reached $250 of our minimum $450 (again, we only had 5 people) and he messed that up. 4 people ordered 4 proteins each and 1 person had 3. During dinner, at least 2 people got 3 proteins each. When I went to pay the remaining gratuity with Zelle (we traveled from out of town and didn't bring enough cash), the chef didn't want want to give me a name for Zelle, only a phone number. Anyone who has ever used Zelle knows that both a name AND number are required for fraud prevention. He finally gave me the name and insisted that I pay the full 20% gratuity. I honestly felt both pressured and profiled. And just in case the business decides to talk poorly about me, keep in mind that I never complained, talked back, or gave anyone an attitude. I paid what was owed PLUS 20% gratuity for a less than stellar experience and the dinner left everyone with a sour taste in their mouth. We were all quiet as he packed up to leave and later, my friends asked if I was okay and if he was catching an attitude with me. If I could get a refund, I would. I would never in a million years recommend this company. I would say you get what you pay for but you don't even get that, apparently. Very rough ending to what was otherwise a great weekend in AZ.

This is a delightful store. If you know anyone who loves to cook and you are looking for the perfect gift, look no more. There is something for everyone in this store, including yourself! There is a also a section with pre-made sauces and other items such as starters you can select from which are a huge time saver and also a money saver since you are not buying ingredients in the grocery store for one dish. Plus, they have a cooking school. I have not taken any classes yet, since they are more of a team orientation with one demonstration day over lunch (and I prefer demonstration style), but for those of you who enjoy cooking classes with a hands-on style (rather than lecture and example), this may be the place for you. Their cooking school classes can be found on-line and have a wonderful variety each month, some with a theme for that month or up-coming holiday. I encourage you to check the location out, see what they sell, see if anything scheduled at the cooking school appeals to you, and look over the food section with items ready to purchase and enjoy. To be honest, I'm not a…read morehuge fan of some Korean food - I'm just not used to some of the flavors (kimchi is a little odd to me). I do, however, love Korean BBQ. I was looking for a fun date night and stumbled upon Taz's cooking classes, which all seem to focus on different Asian themes. Mark H. and I have tried repeatedly to cook Thai and Indian curries without any success, so I signed us up for the Korean BBQ night. Little did I know that we would be cooking a Korean BBQ FEAST. We cooked for about 3 hours. Each recipe independently seemed manageable, but who eats a single item at a Korean BBQ? My favorite dishes ended up being the Korean potato salad and, of course, the meat. At the end, we sat together family-style and devoured massive quantities of delicious food that we'd all cooked together. Looking back on the night, there were so many recipes and tips and tricks that there's no way I can keep it all straight. Luckily Taz sent us home with a mini cook book of the recipes we had created! One of the biggest pluses of his course is that he focuses on the ingredients and where to find them - turns out our curries probably weren't going so well since we were getting all our ingredients at Fry's or Safeway. 10/10 will go back again for another night.
