We got here late on a Friday night for our two-night stay away from our beautiful children. We had…read morecalled in advance to let them know we'd be held up past check-in time. Once we arrived, we were able to quickly check in and get to our rooms without a hassle. Before we retired for the evening, we walked a block to the nearby shopping center and made a few purchases. It's in a super-convenient location, so it made for a nice walk. We had breakfast in the dining area near the lobby on both Saturday and Sunday morning, and both times were pretty good. I'm very happy that we got to have a hot breakfast and not just cereal. Upon advice from a family member, on Saturday we had inquired with the lady at the front desk by the name of Angelina as to whether we could have a late checkout. She asked us to check back with her in the morning. So the following morning, we checked with her again and she enrolled us into their members program. And then she proceeded to authorize our late check-out. We were elated because we really could use that extra hour of time to get ourselves together. We really enjoyed our stay. The bed was really comfortable, the air worked well, and the room was clean (though it could have used a little extra attention to detail in some areas). The single most amazing part of our stay was the service provided by Angelina herself. She is very friendly, very attentive, quick to respond, and super helpful. Every hotel provider should have staff of such an excellent caliber. As we are moving out of state soon, I look forward to our next stay here when we come back to visit our family in California. I know we'll have a great stay with great people on call.

My husband felt something crawling on him and grabbed it and it was a bug. He then inspected the bed to find a couple more. We immediately packed our belongings to leave. He also checked the drawer and saw what looked like droppings in there. The manager refused to talk to us or give us a refund. They pretty much said we were lying. I also had bite marks on my legs. I would never go back.

After staying here for a night, Ive decided it's time to get rid of my own personal queen mattress…read more Pacific Palms has the best mattresses here...firm enough yet soft enough to sink in. Pillows were top tier. Everything else was kinda mediocre, the Red Bar was closed early... probably understaffed, there weren't any live events at night here, there wasn't any direct elevator from the Lower Level Lobby directly to my guest room. Felt like the property is really under booked with only a few rooms lighted up when I was down at the pool. Looking forward to reserve a tee time for their course next time. Property: 4/5 kinda old, but Alot of celebrities seem to frequent here Rooms: 5/5 very quiet, comfortable, and clean Concierge: 5/5 professional Ammenities: 3/5 they should allow locker room access to guests Last Opinions: Property is a tad bit dark, probably to conserve electricity, Pool access is way too far from rooms, feels like you need a golf cart to gain access everywhere. Interesting Fact: Pacific Palms is not owned by Magic Johnson, not sure why that's the rumor mill...but it is managed by the guy that developed the Staples Center.

It feels like you're paying for the golf course and meeting rooms, because the rooms themselves do not justify the cost. The bathroom was ridiculously small--you practically have one cheek on the toilet and the other in the bathtub. The outdoor layout also wasn't convenient for our family, and overall, I wouldn't consider this a family-friendly stay. For the same price, I could've gotten a two-bedroom suite at the Marriott. I expected much better for $200 and would not stay here again.

The garbage disposal in my room did not work, which caused the sink to back up and fill with water. There was also no office chair at the desk when I arrived, and I had to wait two days before one was provided. Parking is a major issue. The lot is very small and shared with McDonald's, making parking difficult. The noise was probably my biggest complaint. The walls are extremely thin, and I could hear everything outside and around the hotel. I heard McDonald's deliveries, cars with loud music and exhaust, and construction from the neighboring gas station. If you are a light sleeper or need a quiet place to work, this is definitely something to consider. The pool is also extremely small. If one family is using it, there really isn't much room for anyone else. What concerned me most was the elevator. During my September 2026 stay, the posted elevator inspection showed an expiration date of March 2025. One of the elevators was also out of service. Seeing an inspection date that appeared to be about 18 months expired was concerning. The food options were disappointing as well and seemed to consist mainly of packaged microwave-style food. There were some positives--the room was clean and comfortable--but between the constant noise, very limited parking, maintenance issues, elevator concerns, and disappointing amenities, I would not stay here again.
