Went here with my boyfriend, we checked to see what was most affordable in the area and that was Budget Inn. The guy on the phone was very welcoming and informative he told us the exact price and didn't try to blow it out of pocket. Upon arrival the guy was super chill and the check-in process was the best. Being that we checked in at 2am almost 3am he still was very mellow. It's almost as he understood how tired we were . The room was nice, you definitely get what you paid for but the only things I will have to comment is that they need thicker blankets as well as the whole hotel and especially hotel rooms need a deep clean. It's like they just do the bare minimum if it was more clean I would honestly give it a 5 star. But yeah 3/5 stars for me! read more

The front desk is really really nice and friendly and check in was super smooth and fast. The room is just not doing it for me. Walls are thin, and I came here to get sleep before going to work and hardly slept a wink due to guests in the next room simply talking. It wasn't even a party. The room smelled pleasant and was clean. There is a fridge and a tiny microwave in the room but NO COFFEE MAKER?? No blankets on the bed-- just several sheets. No shampoo. No lotion. Just bodywash and bar soap. One of the body wash bottles was less than half full. Small, rough bath towels. It was recently remodeled, which is a good thing. Electrical outlets right up on the wall where you put your devices on the side table next to the bed. Water pressure was VIOLENT LOL. Sheesh! Welp, that's better than a lack of water pressure. I actually appreciate the older vending machines that take nickels and dimes. I needed to get rid of those smaller coins. You can walk to Aldi from here, and there's an excellent birria food truck right in front of Aldi. It's a good location. read more

It's not too bad, the owners are kind of nice, don't talk too much but is because their culture is like that, but they are good persons. I had issues with my car, left the key inside and the owner tried to help me. We originally had 3 days paid but we had to extend the time, bad thing is they don't offer us weekly rate or discount but it's ok, is a business. Room is nice, is not very clean but seems like the cleaning crew are too lazy. We have to ask them to clean our room better. They have to fill the space between the door and the floor, there is where the bugs get into the room, we cover with a towel because we found a huge cockroach outside. Fridge was not working good but it's a cheap place and I was afraid the first night because the area looks very unsafe but It was good at the end. We were there for 6 days. read more

So my husband got us aone of the Newly remodeled Shower Rooms. It's a nice room. Usually we never have any issues here But for some reason this was not the case w/ this visit. Upon check in I stayed in the car my husband came & said they needed my ID as well. We go to our room unload our car I go get ice. We hung out for a bit watched a movie then we took showers got dressed went across the street to the $.99 Only Store when we came back the Owners seen us walking back to our room & the woman proceeded to tell my Husband of 25 yrs. "That He Already Had the OTHER LADY IN THE ROOM W/ HIM!" I WAS LIKE WTH ITS ME THATS W/ HIM!" She kept insisting that he had someone else. Freaking Nuts!! Then the next he had to go to work when I went to check out the man asked me where the guy was work. He said he couldn't give me his deposit w/o him being there I asked even though u have my ID? Wth is the point of getting my info & ID if u don't need it. He had to go check the room he apparently thought I was following him back to the room. He very Rudely said "You can Stay There!" I was going back to my car. Then he went back to the office & said when will the guy be around I have to give it to him. I asked can he call? Will u accept that? The towels, three pillows, and I get a room in the same place that makes me feel safe and comfortable. Plus, they're clean and nice. Ive stayed at this inn twice, and for the price it is the best inn Ive stayed at (in similar areas). The building is old, but the rooms are very new and clean. They are newly furnished/painted and have a fridge/microwave/~42" tv. Tile bathroom, and wifi is decent. There are a few things that are a bit sub par - the vending machines are not stocked, the room is missing small things (soap dishes, coffee maker). But these are very insignificant overall, and for 65 a night this place offers a quality room. read more

The only thing that I am knocking it down for is that I was trying to get to bed around 11, and some music was blaring from about 10pm-midnight, like a party was going on in the building. Not sure what all the bad reviews are about this place was actually pretty nice and clean. For 65 bucks it was the best motel i have seen for that price. Room even had a fridge and microwave. Cable and working wifi was a plus. Heater and ac worked well. Bathroom was lovely. Most importantly this place was clean, i mean immaculate for a motel. I recommend staying here if you are visiting la area. Much cheaper and way cleaner than anything in la (frighteningly unsanitary) or pasadena (stay away from colorado blvd. too many crackheads). Discriminated against service dogs. Even after they were told that I have a service dog. Manager/owner came up to my vehicle to YELL and try to bully his way. Till I got out and told him to back the F up. Which he refused till I got in his face. He went from ANGRY to lil girl mode in a few seconds. I don't care if he had some height. The rooms are cheap for a reason. I don't want to say that they rooms are "bad," or anything like that, but you are getting what you paid for. I originally booked a room online for $120 for two nights, but upon arrival found out that this was for a single bed room and I need two beds. Still only cost me $170 so it was worth it for the short trip I was on. But for $120-$170 don't expect luxury. The room was REALLY grungy, like the carpets must be as old as the building itself, and the rooms have NEVER been repainted or the ceiling touched up. The towel rack for out bathroom was literally broken, so even the slightest touch would make it plop off the wall. All the rooms come with a microwave and mini fridge, so my family and I brought some food with us. However, we soon discovered that the mini fridge didn't actually work at all. When we discussed it with management, they just told us we didn't know how to operate it, and that was it. No help whatsoever. My sisters and I pulled the desk out to get behind the fridge and check it, as the manager suggested doing that, and we discovered absolute FILTH! I was equally pissed that all the food we brought would have to be immediately eaten or thrown out. There was only one additional thing which bugged me and that was the lack of clean up. My sisters and I stayed two nights at the Inn, and our towels were never replaced, and our trash was never emptied. Literally the only saving grace of this hotel is that it is conveniently located between L.A. proper and Anaheim which was a perfect location for what we had planned to do. If it was not in a good spot I would give this Inn a single star. Seriously, if you are not on a SUPER TIGHT budget, do NOT bother with this Inn. It is grungy, the hospitality is poor, and the amenities are basically useless. read more

Any positive review has to be someone that works there. I don't want anyone else to make the same mistake I made by trusting a bogus review. I found a bed bug in room 205 and reported it to them and they moved me to 206. I was so exhausted I didn't have enough energy to look for another place. Both rooms were the same. Dirty towels or let's just say off white with hair on them, dirty smelly carpet, calcium build on the shower heads, old hard, and dirty mattresses, pillow case was clean but pillow stained from drool, chipped paint all over and on the furniture, dirt on the walls and doors. That's surprising too since the walls were orange. The only plus was the flat screen TV and the toilet looked clean. I never knew a hotel would neglect rooms like this. They should work more on cleaning and maintenance verses fake reviews. read more

We started to stay there every weekend like on Fridays ,Saturday is expensive to stay there.. Last week we were checking in and the owner told my boyfriend he couldn't wear tank tops while getting breakfast that it was rude infront of other guests eating breakfast.. We didnt even eat in the lobby we took our breakfast to our room.. Its my second and third visit but always had the bad customer service. Staff is rude. They will knock your door and tell you to check out. When i extend and pay my stay for additional 2 hours for me to have another hour of sleep then the cleaning lady who is rude and no proper decorum knocked my door again and tell me "check out!" And i replied ok im preparing my stuff then i will go" Then that rude cleaning staff answered "Excuse me?" This budget inn is not a good place for you to sleep especially if your coming from work tired and you live far from west covina and all you can do is look for a place where you can sleep instead of driving back home for 35 miles. I will no longer come back in this motel and i will not recommend this place to anyone. The staff has to go training and learn on hospitality, etiquette, and proper decorum on how to treat clients nicely. The worst motel i ever experience! If I could give this place negative stars I would, I used to love coming here the guy from the front was super nice but today he acted like an asshole, an older man helped me the night before and he charged me 86.98 for one night on the room 205 Wich the refrigerator didn't work, it didn't have a safe lock I called reception and they said " you been here before don't worry your safe" keep in mind it was just me and my daughter, whatever's it was late at night I didn't want to have my daughter in and out, after when I found out about the refrigerator I called reception again the old man came to help me he didn't do nothing but plug it in and still it didn't work then the other guy came and told me wait a while if it doesn't work you can just get ice and out your milk on ice, he also said" if you stay another night I will change room, so I stood I checked out at 6:10 am I had to stay another night I came back in the afternoon to the lady charging me 98 a night plus tax I asked what about weekly and she said 550 with tax and I asked why are you charging 98 when the night before the old man charged me 86 so I checked my account again and they charged me 119 for the night and they print it out a receipt I got upset and the " nice guy" now asshole decides to say leave don't bring drama here I'm like how I'm I bringing drama you over charged me! And kept telling me to leave and these people have the nerve to walk out and say don't come back here anymore like wtf this people act like they are nice but they are asshole and not fucken human at all !!!! read more

The customer service this Budget Inn provides is exceptional. Not sure what management the negative reviewers dealt with, but the management I encountered was an Indian family, and they did a great job at customer satisfaction. After a long flight from the East Coast to La Puente, I was greeted cordially by the lady manager who gave me very helpful pointers on where I can get what in the area. We had an enjoyable conversation, On the second day, I checked out and needed a place to store my baggage for a long time. I asked for storage service, and even though they didn't offer it, they allowed me to keep the baggage in their office. I told them I'll keep the baggage till 5pm. At 5pm, due to unforeseen circumstances, I needed to extend storage to 7pm. I was embarrassed to ask for an extension because they were already doing me a big favor by agreeing to let me use their office as storage space. To my surprise, they granted me the extension. Throughout the course of my interactions with the management, the managers were courtesy, friendly and empathetic. I highly recommend this Budget Inn because there aren't many lodging options out there that can offer equally great prices and customer service. read more

This hotel is budget hotel as name suggests. Rate is low and there's nothing fancy during stay. What I am impressed was that, room is quite clean, spacious and recently upgraded. Nothing is broken and everything worked fine. TV, furniture, bed, bathroom seems recently upgraded. Paint in the room still looks clean. The receptionist was very friendly and I didn't have any problem during stay. Breakfast was simple but was ok. A few fruits, orange juice, cereal and coffee tastes ok. Nice thing about this hotel is location. About 30 mins to downtown LA. 15 min to Arcadia. Very easy drive to Pasadena or San Gabriel Valley. My girlfriend and I stay here about once a month when we attend a local lifestyle party near by. We always get the Jacuzzi room with the king size bed for our pleasure and enjoyment at a great price compared to other hotels. The rooms are pleasant, comfortable,smell good, the Jacuzzi is clean, modern and feel great to relax in, the AC works great and the room does have a fridge. Another PRO for the hotel is that it is across the street from the 99 Cents Store if you are in need of some snacks or romantic supplies for the evening and a new ALDI Grocery store just opened up around the corner. The owners are great, they always greets us with a smile and are very accommodating. The do offer breakfast in the morning, but we have not made it since we sleep in from a night of partying..next time for sure. I have stayed at some of the nicest Hotels in the world, here and in Asia with 7 stars. This is so clean and so nice for the price. I was needing a room and hadnt ever been in the area. I thought funds are low right now just get something decent, since it was a last minute trip. I was shocked to find the bed was very large, super comfy and had beautitul clean Egyptian cotten sheets. I figured I would walk in and it would smell funny like less expensive rooms always do, especially with carpet. The room was so clean and smelled so good, well it smelled clean. Everything looked nice including the little waiting area with couch and chairs. The bathroom was extremely clean and that is usually my biggest complaint with budget rooms. Surprisely the TV worked perfectly and had an excellent large HD picture, really nice. I only have two complaints the bed spread was dated in style and was the one reason I almost didnt book it. I take them off anyway, very leary about the bed spreads in Motels. But it looked clean, just dont like them. Also the bathroom was clean and had nice towels but awfully small. It looked like the outside area wasnt too nice at night so thought the room might not be very nice. What a great surprise. Whenever I am in the area I am staying there. What a great bargain for such a low price. I loved it!! It earned all five stars!! I found nothing dirty, no bugs and nothing but friendly service. If there was a bed bug in one of these rooms it is because the person brought it with them, this place is CLEAN. Didnt see the outside in the day so cant say how it really looks, but it was so quiet and I felt my car was safe. Try it you will like it!!!
