The view of the hotel room was a parking lot and trees covering the neighbors yard. When you come out of the lobby, you'll see the view of SGV mountains and plazas. Their free WiFi is on and off like my previous toxic relationship ever since I logged on. The best parts were the beautiful, clean swimming pool with a fire pit patio and all the female concierges were welcoming and greet us every time we walked in and out of the hotel. It's conveniently located next to an Asian plaza and across the park, but the walk to the nearest bus stop is 15 minutes away, which felt like 30 minutes for me. I don't recommend staying here if you have bad legs, unless you have good cardio and endurance to walk uphill and downhill under the sun.

So, my experience with Hilton and this property is vast. This property a few years ago did go through an upgrade to the front entrance, lobby, front desk area, and the main dining area that is beyond the lobby. The remodel or update though done a few years back is excellent. It is very inviting and exactly what you would expect from a Hilton Embassy Suites property. Devin and the front desk team are exceptional! Prompt, professional, and very customer service oriented. Beyond those two notable items in which this property shines, it falls off a steep cliff after that! The rooms are dated. They are dingy. They are marked up, beat up and rusted in various parts of the rooms (or at least the ones I have stayed in). Some of the rooms have drawers that do not close so they are open. Some of the phones do not work int he rooms. Lamp fixtures are crooked because they are old and just beat up. There are stains on sofa's, walls, counter tops, etc. In the shower, there are yellow rust stains and cracks throughout. Toilet paper simply doesn't stay on the bar so it's often rolling off and onto the floor. Housekeeping is lack luster. Trying to get a room that has the adequate towels, wash clothes, coffee, etc. is almost comical at this point. The parking garage which they now charge for is consistent with other Hilton properties, but the issue is it's old. I am not sure who owns the garage as the salon next door uses it as well. The spaces are narrow. Trash builds up in the cans. Lots of areas taped off. Some cracks and pipes that have either leaked or previously caused damage. While it is a park at your own risk, I would expect Hilton to have these issues fixed to be a better space for their guests who do need to park there. The property is in a great location for restaurants, nightlife, shopping etc. It's just gotten to the point that Hilton needs to overhaul the rooms and garage at this point. Staying at a Hampton Inn these days, trumps this property and that is just sad.

When questioned about his responses, he said "you can just leave..." This place used to be a great place, but their employees and customer service are absolute trash. Truly reevaluate who represents your front desk, not to mention their sloppy half-ass attire. Now in the room, mold is growing on the wall in our room, and there is hair in the bathroom. We loved the unique location on the "walk Street" (located on a sidewalk, not a street) within Venice, and enjoyed not having to get in our car all weekend as we went to various shops and restaurants within walking distance. We also biked to Santa Monica easily from the house on Metro Bikes and all in all just had a fantastic time catching up with friends in the comfortable living room.

The rv was clean, and ran like a champ. The AC was strong all weekend and helped us during the 100 degree heat. It had everything you would need for a festival weekend: from pots and pans, full gas and LP tanks, chairs, rugs, and even came with two tv's and bluetooth sound system through out the rv inside and out. The streaming ran off my cellphone hotspot and had great service all weekend (thanks Verizon). Another bonus was Nika was at the festival so if you needed help with anything she was there for you.
