These days I keep it simple -- a cool, breezy ride through the Fullerton Loop, maybe cruise the Greenway Trail or Riverbed. If you see an old man rolling by, feel free to say hello. My boy took my Giant Trance X mountain bike into Pat's 605 Cyclery, and Tristan hooked it up. He did an outstanding job getting my bike ready for the road again. Everything feels dialed in and smooth. An old guy like me appreciates those dual shocks -- makes it feel like I'm riding a Cadillac down the trail instead of getting rattled around in a hoopty. Stopped by franks bike shop to get training wheels installed on my son's bike, he is a big boy so…read moreluckily they had heavy duty training wheels in stock. The price was pretty good, $40 for the training wheels and $10 for installation, which is good because there is another shop locally that wanted $75 installed. She took good care of the bike and even adjusted the brakes for us. Their bike shop is well organized and pretty clean. There is always parking available in front of the location. Thank you Angie!

Took our bike in for a tuneup. The bike was working fine. Just needed to get it looked over before…read moremy daughter took it to UCSB. Maintenance. Well, the bike sat in the shop for over a week. They said they called but they never left a voicemail. Now my daughter took the bike to UCSB and the brakes were super squeaky and as she was taking it to the campus bike shop, the chain came off the track. That never happened before!!!! EVER!!!! Whatever this bike shop did has rendered the bike useless for my daughter at UCSB over 100 miles away. We now have to pay to get the bike looked at and repaired in Santa Barbara.

Took my gravel bike in for a tune up and Hugo did a great job making sure my concerns we addressed (switching from big chainring to little chain ring) and cleaned everything up nicely on the bike making it looks better than new and run smoother too. All while only taking a couple days to do it. I also mentioned to Hugo that I had my race bike built by another shop but felt like everything was done poorly, incorrectly, and had to wait a long time for it to be done. Hugo told me to take it in for him to have a look about what I was concerned about. After taking it in for Hugo to look at and speaking about the issues I decided to have him rebuild the entire bike. Hugo went to work immediately and began the tear down showing me what was done wrong and how the right way of doing it was. It only took him a day to get my bike back up to tip top condition. Rode it the same day and everything felt superb. Had minor adjustments to be made but Hugo fixed them the day after I brought it back and explained that if I had any issues big or small that he would take care of it any time. I also ended up buying a new set of wheels that Hugo put on for me. He not only put them on for me but assured me the wheels would work on my drivetrain and provided his input on how it would be on the bike. I really appreciate everything Hugo and Angelica! You got my bikes running better than new and in no time. It's been a headache with the other shop I went to but Hugo's work and expertise saved the day. 3H has a lifelong customer. I also brought in 2 additional customers (neighbor and brother in law) after they saw the work that was done on my bikes and hearing from my experience. I can't thank Hugo and his family enough for taking care of everything for me.
