After spending several hundred dollars at La Mirada…read moreCyclery, the service wax minimal at best. Luckily I got a flat on Greenway Trail and had to stop at Frank's to fix it. Since this was my fifth flat in 2 months I was more than frustrated. It turns out I needed a new tire which was contributing to my flat tires. Why didn't the other shop tell me that? We discussed my options and Frank let me know that the railroad puts thorny debris on the trail, making the trail look carefree and safe. Frank went the extra mile and adjusted my brakes and handlebars at no extra cost. Frank was professional, warm and caring. My bike shop for life thank you Frank.

Maverick Coffee in Whittier gets 4 stars from me!…read more The place is super cute, it's actually a bike shop that also features a coffee stall inside. Their menu is definitely limited; they don't have a lot listed, but they do offer a Thai iced tea. The tea is home-brewed, which is a really nice touch! They also have a refrigerator stocked with a few different kinds of canned sodas. The only real downside is that there is no seating available. It's strictly a get-your-drink-and-go kind of place, not a cafe where you can sit down and hang out for a while. On the plus side, parking is very easy. Since it's right on a street corner, there's quite a large parking lot, which I'm assuming is built to accommodate all the cyclists who ride over. Overall, it was a nice experience and a cool spot to grab a quick drink!
