But when I called the number I saw on the side of the truck I thought to myself this is perfect since I needed repair on my E bike. I called spoke with a gentleman named Craig he was very professional, and he agreed to meet the next day. the next day came about and the only thing i got was a text stating trying to come by tomorrow i have other service calls in the area, ." after many attempts to text and call, no response from craig. this was after five days after speaking with him. and he is OK It appears though that my small bike job was not enough for him. its a shame too, because i have lots of referrals who need a good bike repair person. i wish him the best, but ive moved on read more

Friends of mine recommended Gravity Bicycles to have my suspension dialed in on my e-MTB. I was a little early and met with Craig who made me feel at home. We chatted a bit and had a few laughs while Mike was prepping my bike for service. Mike is super knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. He asked what type of trails I normally ride and did a series of tests after adjustments were made. It took about an hour but felt like it was 20 minutes. I had such a great experience and had all my questions answered along with some tips to maintain my suspension and settings. This shop is awesome! They have a few suspension GURUS that can tackle any job. I brought a limited edition ohlins fork that other shops wouldnt work on. They took my upgraded airspring i had and installed it for me along with servicing the lowers. It was all done within a couple days and the fork feels brand new even after lots of riding. No leaks, no issues. Just solid riding on my favorite suspension fork. You can really trust these guys to help you with anything bike related that most other shops cant do. Great shop. Craig and Vanessa really go out of their way to take care of their customers. I first learned about Gravity when they had their mobile repair shop at the Fullerton Loop parking lot. Fast forward and they now have their own building. Entire focus is on bike repairs/tunes/builds along with some retail needs like parts and apparel. Highly recommend the suspension setup service here!! Very extensive and methodically performed, their suspension guru Mike will set you up according to your weight, riding style, and ability level. Once he gets all the baseline settings done with you in the shop, he will then have you ride around the parking lot doing a battery of tests to make sure everything is performing the way it should. I borrowed my father-in-laws e-bike and got a flat. I just showed up with the bike. The tires are pretty large and they didn't have that size tube. Craig took the time to call another shop to see is they had it in stock. The other shop didn't have time to fix it, so Craig said if I go get the part, he'd install it for me. When I got back, he already had my bike on the rack and fixed it within 5-10 minutes. Super helpful, and friendly guys there. read more

I brought my Stumpie Evo today to get the suspension tuned and dialed in. I had done it on my own previously using Fox's setup guide and various YouTube videos, but the ride quality was no where near what these guys set me up with. My bike feels like a new bike, with a buttery smooth suspension. These guys know what they're doing. The appointment was an hour and their service and friendliness was top notch. Mike took the time to explain it all, and went over additional tips and maintenance to keep it running right. I then strolled their sales floor and ended up purchasing an AXS XX1 deraileur which they installed on the spot. Guys are super friendly, easy to talk to, and very informative. Ask for pricing before you leave your bike. I've never had an issue with paying shops for a reasonable rate so I never ask for a quote. I was extremely surprised when I got their bill. This review is to give you a heads up. Make up your own mind. Let me break down what was charged to me so you can decide whether this shop is for you. I had the gravity coil conversion done which was the main reason for visiting. Verdict is still out on the coil as I need more time on it. Here's what you will expect to pay: $226.28 (coil parts) + $140.00 (fork installation/service) + $37 fork SKF seals) + $100.00 (suspension tuning session) = $503.28. I decided to also give them a SINGLE wheel which was missing 3 spokes for a rebuild. We decided to change all the spokes. Here is what you will expect to pay: $64.00 (32 spokes) + $32.00 (32 nipples) + $10.00 (tubeless sealant) + $18.00 (rim tape) + $100 (labor) = $224.00 Total: $727.28 These prices are too rich for the work that was done. The workmanship was good. However, the value was not there. There are lots of great shops in the OC that have excellent turn around, do excellent work, and are friendly. I wanted to support them and give them more work, but $224 for a SINGLE wheel rebuild?? read more

When he had his own bike shop I got really good service and good work but now that he's mobile. It is hard to get return calls or text messages. Does not always stand behind his warranties. He is easily offended if you text him too many times because he doesn't respond. Takes no responsibility for his behavior. If you don't have anyone else to use and if you don't mind the hassle you can always take your chances. If you live in the surrounding area, this is the best LBS hands down. Judging by the number of expensive bikes waiting to be picked up, I can tell others share the same sentiment. I took 2 of my mountain bikes (YT Jeffsy and Ibis Ripmo V2S) here today to get some repairs done and I didn't even need an appointment. I literally walked in and they still took care of me and I got my bikes back the same day. The shop is clean and stocked with all kinds of parts/tires you need for your ride. I didn't get the mechanic's name that helped me out today, but he was nice and squared me away quick. This will now be my go-to spot for my MTB needs. read more

I have a few LBS options and some are ok and some not so great. I was looking for a dependable, experienced, and honest shop to go to. These guys came highly recommended so I went to them for a smashpot install on my RS Zeb for for my trek rail 9.8. They have some of the best communication in the industry, direct texts about parts being in stock and questions that come up when they are doing the work so we can be efficient and getting the bike done so we can ride! They called me in the morning and I dropped off my bike and they called me around 6pm and it was done! Came back to pick up and ride around in their parking lot and very happy. They truly are knowledgeable and can help with any bike needs. Opening early and closing late is great as well. Mike and Craig did a great job and are cool to hang out with. read more

I pinched my frame through a stupid mistake while trying to install my rear shock. My friend recommended I take my bike to Gravity Bicycles because he's had such great experiences with them. I live in South OC but I was so desperate that I was willing to make that drive before work. First of all, kudos to Gravity for being open at 8 am! Craig was responsive. He answered my call before I even arrived and patiently listened to my hysterics. Long story short, Craig and Mike were able to fix my problem, install my shock and a spacer on my headset at a very reasonable cost. My bike was ready in a day. No slimy tactics or hidden costs. Very transparent, expedient, and professional. More than anything, they KNOW mountain bikes really really well. They are clearly MTB enthusiasts and riders and know what they're talking about. I will not take my MTB to any other shop in this county and will make the 35+ minute to drive to them and pass by at least 3 shops on the way, including a mobile guy nearby that gouges on price. They fixed a flat back tire in 15 minutes. I found it really convenient because they were set up at the Fullerton Loop trail where I planned to ride. Just look for the ice-cream looking truck on the bottom lot of Fullerton courthouse. They are there early on weekends. Also, the owner was very kind and a pleasure to talk to. THESE GUYS ARE SO GOOD BUT SO SHITTY AT THE SAME TIME. DON'T COME HERE! They fix bikes too fast, their turn around time is too quick, and Craig is too funny. In all seriousness this duo is amazing. They know their stuff and really try to get your bike ready in a short amount of time. They even play "roulette" with how much they charge you for service (pick a number between..) They've been super busy due to covid and the high demand but still have great service. Don't expect quick replies to texts or have every phone call answered cuz there's just two of them. Craig is awesome! I found Gravity Bicycles on yelp and it's the best! Bike shops these days take about 2-3 weeks with all the pandemic craziness but their turn around services are quick. I got my tires converted to tubeless and rear shock changed on the same day. Craig is very knowledgable about bikes and how each component works. He took his time to explain some parts and how it should be taken care of. There are only 2 of them (Craig & Vanessa) working and they've been working every single day to keep up with the demand. I really like how they're a mobile bike shop but PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THE ADDRESS GIVEN on the yelp page as they are constantly moving around. They are in the process of fixing it.
