I have been going to Dr. Cardenzana of Bluffs Family Dentistry for a few years and have had a GREAT…read moreexperience! I recently had a situation where I had an absessed tooth and ultimately had to have it pulled. I now have a bridge that literally looks like a work of art. I can't tell that the "pontic" is not my natural tooth - they matched my tooth color, got everything ready for the final install and it really, really turned out great! The front desk staff are also licensed dental assistants - something I didn't know until just recently and they are very helpful and truly DO care. When I was in distress upon finding I couldn't save the tooth, they gave me some great information on bridges and implants and took the time to go over both options. During the processes of getting the tooth pulled, to the preparation for the bridge itself, and the final installation, they were right there to guide me every step of the way through it, and it they made very sure I was comfortable with my choice. The only real thing I had to overcome was the Novocaine shots during the process, but once I was able to get past those, it really and truly turned out well. Thank you to Dr. C and the staff of Bluffs Family Dentistry! I truly appreciate you folks!!!

They twice told me I needed a crown instead of fillings. I got one of the crowns done, and then switched insurance to a very expensive one so on Jan 1st I'd be able to get the other one done. (They were not happy I wanted to wait a month and a half to get a crown). I saw a new dentist in January and he said I just needed a deep filling, and looked over my X-rays and said I never needed the first crown. They upsold me on a laser gum treatment and told me insurance would cover it.... It covered $40? I paid the remaining $150 out of pocket. I also got a bill from them 7 months post service saying insurance didn't cover something. When I looked at my insurance, it was denied for failure to submit the claim in a timely fashion. It took 3 phone calls before I finally said: "it looks like it was denied because it wasn't submitted by your staff on time, is that what you're seeing on your end" and magically the bill disappeared. Great personalities, terrible people, terrible treatment.

I got 3 new crowns and some other work done, and I'm not quite finished yet, but am well on my way to a healthier mouth, more correct bite and whiter smile.
