We have a three year old toddler who's seen her for multiple issues throughout the year, and a current four month old daughter who has seen Dr. D since birth. Despite, being a second time mom, I was taken aback how similar but also different babies were. I had some feeding issues with my daughter especially at the beginning, which I had never even imagined with my first. I really loved the fact that Dr. D was all about the well-being of my baby, but also me as a mother. Two areas of improvement I feel they could make is with their receptionist. If they could be more proactive about booking the next appointment upon parents walking out the door, this would be really helpful. Sometimes we forget about our next appointment, and then when we call back it is difficult to book as slots get filled up fast. Another area that I would really appreciate would be the time management. The wait time I've had averaged about 30-45 minutes after my scheduled time. And sometimes with a fussy baby or a cranky toddler, I run out of resources for entertainment!

I took my daughter to her first pediatric appointment with Nancy Blumstein on February 10, 2026…read more The appointment was scheduled for 10:30 AM. She arrived at 10:45 AM. I arrived prepared with important questions about vaccines and my child's health in group settings with other infants. She talked over me repeatedly whenever I tried to get clear answers. In the final minutes she insisted she had to leave for her next patient. By 11:00 AM she was gone. We received only about 15 minutes of actual time with her. I asked the front desk secretary how long these appointments are supposed to be. She confirmed they are typically 30 minutes. She then called the doctor so I could speak with her directly. I spoke to the doctor face-to-face and plainly explained that we had only received about 15 minutes and I still had questions. She denied rushing the visit and ending it early. After I expressed that she indeed did, she then offered to see us after her next patient for whatever time was left. That offer only confirmed to me that the original visit had been cut short. I declined because I wasn't looking for a leftover slot. I was expecting the full appointment time we had been scheduled for. Within about a minute of me raising the concern, the secretary told us we were barred from returning to the clinic. The doctor did not communicate this to me personally. I am documenting this because I will not remain silent when my child's care receives such poor treatment. Patients have the right to ask questions without being interrupted or dismissed. Parents have the right to receive the full scheduled appointment time. When a clinic responds to reasonable concerns by banning families it reveals a SERIOUS failure in professionalism and patient care. This kind of arrogant, retaliatory behavior is completely indefensible. It punishes parents for expecting basic respect and competence, hides behind staff instead of facing accountability, and treats families as disposable when they dare to speak up. Practices like this have no business in pediatric medicine and must be publicly condemned in the strongest terms so no other parent or child is ever subjected to this disgraceful, unacceptable level of disregard for patients.

He takes pride in providing his patients with the most attentive care possible. He will spend as much time as you need answering questions during an exam, he follows up with phone calls to see how your child is doing, he responds to questions via text, and he always calls us back right away when we have an emergency or urgent matter after business hours. His office is also amazingly beautiful providing a calm comfortable place for kids. We have to pay out of pocket to see Dr Kagan but it is worth every penny knowing that the health and well being of our kids are in his hands. We only started seeing Dr Kagan when our first son was 3. He immediately diagnosed a diaper rash as a bacterial infection and our poor son had been suffering from this for years as none of his other doctors could correctly identify the problem (and we tried various other remedies with no results). It cleared up in less than a week and our son was so much happier. That experience alone solidified our belief that our kids would go to Dr Kagan no matter what. When our second son was born he had a fairly bad case of jaundice. The nurses at the hospital wanted me to keep him in a machine under lights away from me all day and night. Thanks to Dr Kagan's expertise, follow up, and persistence, I was able to nurse my baby and hold him with me for more than 20 hours each day. Having him beside me in that time was invaluable! Another thing that makes Dr Kagan amazing is that he doesn't preach or condemn one ideology or parenting style. He sees his job as keeping your child safe and as healthy as possible. He will work with you and what you feel is best for your baby and your family. He believes in a healthy mix of natural remedies and western medicine. He advocates strongly for vaccines but will offer an alternative schedule. He is willing to take a wait and see approach if you don't want to use antibiotics but he will also recommend them when he feels they are definitely necessary. I can't say enough good things about Dr Kagan...he is just simply the best pediatrician that I know!

She is amazing at responding when we call with questions about current sicknesses. Very through at well visits. All of her staff is so nice and kind whenever we are in office or over the phone. I've truly never had any problems with this office, not even with billing. We originally found this office because we went from having a great PPO plan to having to switch to an HMO to save money. We had to switch all of our doctors, as a lot don't accept HMOs. My husband and I had the absolute worst time finding doctors and specialists for ourselves, but am so thankful that we found Dr. Schramm. After our bad experiences with our HMO doctors I was so worried we would be stuck with a pediatrician we didn't exactly like but were forced to stay with. Wow was I wrong. So wrong that we are back to a PPO this year and are staying with Dr. Schramm, even though we loved the office we came from. She's a mom herself (4 beautiful children I believe) and I fully trust and believe that if there was anything serious and concerning with either one of our boys health she wouldn't hesitate to let us know and not minimize the problem. You can really tell the she has that mothers intuition with everyone. You can tell she's the kind of doctor you would want on your team during an emergency. Yes the parking is expensive under the building, street parking can be tough, but it's LA so it's expected. I just try to leave earlier to plan for circling for parking and have had to park below before it's usually about $10 for a typical visit. If you have time for the short walk (and don't have stroller, multiple kids to wrangle) there's usually plenty of street parking across Olympic.

My child has been a patient of Dr. Klausner for six years, and while we've appreciated the care…read moreover the years, I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with the way the billing for a PCR test from October 2024 was handled. During a sick visit on 10/25/24, a PCR test was administered. I was required to sign a waiver stating that if the test wasn't covered by insurance, I'd be responsible for the $175 fee. That was understandable. However, things went downhill from there. In December 2024, I received a bill for an annual membership fee, showing a $200 line item but only a $175 total. Since we had recently moved and changed doctors, I called the office and was told to ignore the bill. I was never told about any other outstanding balance. A few months later, I received another bill for the membership fee and was again told to disregard it. Then in June 2025, I received a phone call out of the blue stating I had a $175 balance for the PCR test from October -- the first time I was ever told about this. I was shocked. I requested a copy of the bill and called my insurance. We had a three-way call with Sandra from Dr. Klausner's office. During that call, my insurance confirmed the test was covered, but it was billed incorrectly using CPT code 87631 instead of the correct, covered code 87633. Because their office waited over 90 days to inform me of the bill, it was now too late to resubmit with the correct code. I was never contacted, texted, or emailed about this charge until June 2, 2025 -- far too late for any corrections. I even shared the original bill they sent me to Dr. Klausner's staff showing the yearly fee line item -- which seems to confirm they initially billed the wrong charge entirely. Despite this, the office insisted they had been billing me since November -- which is absolutely untrue. I confirmed with my insurer that they didn't receive communication from Dr. Klausner until 12/31/24 about the PCR test. Unless Dr Klausner's office has a habit of sending patient's bills for covered items before sending them to insurance first, which is also not acceptable. To make matters worse, according to Mary in the office Dr. Klausner claimed she would never use CPT code 87633 because it "isn't for pediatrics" -- something my insurer confirmed is not true, as the code is not age-specific. I finally received my first-ever billing text from the office on July 7, 2025, threatening to send me to collections if I didn't pay the $175 by July 11 -- just a month after I was even made aware of the issue. I paid the bill simply to avoid further stress, not because I believe it was right or fair. Bottom line: This office's billing department is disorganized, uncommunicative, and unwilling to take accountability for their mistakes. If I had been informed earlier, this bill would have been fully covered by my insurance. Instead, I was misled, gaslit, and forced to pay out of pocket due to their error. I write this review so others are aware: If you choose this practice, stay on top of your billing, keep records, and advocate hard for yourself -- because the office certainly won't.
