We are so blessed and grateful to have found Dr. Shurin! She is so kind, patient, smart and thorough. We never feel rushed with her, she answers all our questions with compassion and she is so knowledgeable. She is the greatest doctor and human being! She makes us feel good about everything and doesn't make us feel alarmed or worried. Thank you for everything Dr. S! read more

We are only a few visits in but Dr. Oranika, the nursing and reception teams have all been great. They've been available, friendly, capable and timely. The time and effort they put into care shows and it's put us first time parents at ease. read more

I normally write great reviews, but when I feel like someone represents a business poorly; I think it should also be shared. I dealt directly with Sandra M. Ortega (Practice Administrator) and I practically open up to her about my financial situation and how it was very important for me to keep food on the table and a roof over my children's head, and because of this I couldn't afford to payoff my remaining balance. I did, however, ask if she would be willing to work with me. Well, her working with me was sending my bill to collections. Talk about the lack of empathy she has shown. So, I don't suggest this place, unless you NEVER expect to go through any hard times. read more

Dr Nagel its the best pediatrician ever. He is well seasoned in everything a pediatrician could have and would have seen in a career and it sure does come in handy when your child shows up with random bumps that can only be treated by things like Beetlejuice... and your pediatrician just so happens to have some on hand. It's doctors like Dr. Nagel who make parents like me feel really comfortable with any and all advice given, I don't question his opinion, second guess his advice... I take it all in and gratefully, too! This man is a gem, a true gem! Actually, everyone in the LaPeer Pediatrics office is absolutely wonderful, but I am particularly partial to Dr. Nagel, because he is just the right kind of doctor for our family. read more

Dr. Diamond is amazing. Her instincts are right on, she is patient and attentive, and she genuinely cares about her patients. She communicates clearly and directly, but in a way that is sensitive and loving. We could not be happier with her as our child's doctor! read more

As parents, we very much appreciate and value Dr Nagel's care for our child. Moreover, we appreciate his level of communication towards our son and us as parents. It is not easy to navigate and switch gears between communicating with parents and children, yet Dr Nagel has perfected this art as best as one can do. Much love to him and entire staff. I will also add, Drs Oranika and Shurin are exceptional, as well. read more

We see Dr. Diamond here at La Peer Pediatrics and could not be happier with our choice of pediatrician. I don't pick doctors easily, and I don't take the task lightly. I also used to work in healthcare, where I came across many, many physicians and she is far and beyond the BEST practitioner I have ever met. She is experienced, intelligent, and keeps up with all of the current literature and research. She is so genuinely caring and never gets annoyed with the barrage of questions we may have regarding any one of our children. Dr. Diamond spends so much time with us in our appointments, ensuring that every last concern is addressed and has always been there for us and our children in times of great need. She has always, always been correct with her diagnoses, even when there were differing medical opinions by specialists. I am so appreciative of how open-minded and practical she is, while also educating us and helping us understand her medical reasoning and advice. I could really go on and on about her. I consider myself so lucky to have her as our pediatrician. read more

Absolutely love Dr Diamond, she takes the time to answer all questions and makes you feel comfortable as a new mom, thank you Dr Diamond

Toxic doctors. Dr Diamond bullied my family For wanting to spread out some of their more invasive vaccine practices with an already sensitive allergenic family history. In fact when questioning the PCv13 vaccine Dr diamonds eyes rolled back in her head and she started rambling about spinal taps on infants. The people they employ are rude receptionist. If you're husband has to go in for anything they won't respect him as they seem to be full of man haters. Anyway my daughter went from perfection to eczema after one shot and now we are switching to caring doctors elsewhere. I would really avoid this place if you care about your kids because they don't. Good luck getting them to call you back too-- read more

Both Dr. Oronika and Dr. Weiner are outstanding! They are incredibly compassionate, attentive, and knowledgeable. I am very fortunate to have found these doctors and my daughter and I have trusted La Peer Pediatrics for many years. read more

Dr. Autumn Shurin is a fantastic doctor. She is compassionate, approachable, beyond knowledgeable, direct, thorough, non-alarmist, available and also timely with responses and visits. Our kids all love her and have a great relationship with going to the doctor (even getting shots) because they know/feel that Dr. Shurin is kind and truly cares about their health - mental and physical. When our daughter spent 2 weeks in the NICU she was a rock for my husband and I. When we internationally adopted our sons (and they had multiple health concerns that needed immediate attention) she had all the answers/solutions to get them thriving in no time. La Peer is a great office. read more

We just moved to the area and I have a two month old who hasn't even been vaccinated yet. The woman at the front desk told me they don't take transfer patients...? I said at two months he hasn't really seen anyone as he isn't even vaccinated until three months? She said he was considered a transfer patient and I would have to get approval from the office manager to have him seen then the office manager would need to check with the doctor? This place also charges an annual fee, that they won't wave for the first visit to see if you and the doctor are a good fit? What a joke, I found a much better pediatrician and reception at miracle mile pediatrics. read more

There aren't enough great things to say about dr. Weiner. She is the absolute best. She is extremely attentive, patient and caring. She knows my daughter just as well as I do, if not better. I never feel rushed and always look forward to our appointments. She is not only a doctor but also a teacher. She explains everything so that we understand what's happening. My friends come to me for explanations since they know our pediatrician teaches me and explains everything. You will be in the best hands with Dr. Weiner Baby Claire and I LOVE YOU and appreciate all the time and effort you put into her well being. Thank you Dr!! read more

I have been part of this practice for close to 6 years now, trusting Dr. Kimberly diamond with my three children. Aside from the gentle and loving care she gives my children, she is also attentive to my needs as a mother and always goes above and beyond to make sure she understands what is going on with my kids and answer any questions I have. My child was saved from a lifetime of hip problems thanks to Dr. Diamonds intuition and thorough care, where she managed to detect a very Mild form of hip dysplasia at 4 months of age. Had this gone undetected, my daughter could've suffered a lifetime of hip problems and pain. Dr. Diamond truly goes above and beyond. There have been moments where I've needed to go to urgent care for one of my children without speaking to her (because I knew she wasn't in the office). The moment she receives paperwork in her office from the urgent care, she will go out of her way to call and check in on us to make sure we are okay. Words cannot describe how lucky I consider myself to have my children under Dr. Diamonds care. She is truly an angel and I would never be able to entrust anyone else with the well being of my children. Thank you Dr. Diamond and the La Peer Pediatrics team for all that you do! read more

I have been with Dr. Diamond for over 6 years now with my two children, and I can confidently say that there is no one else like her. She is the most intelligent, caring, knowledgeable, and patient doctor I have ever met. I know that my sons are in the absolute BEST care with her. She is incredibly patient and friendly, always willing to answer all of my questions, provide feedback, and takes it upon herself to check-up on my sons in the days that follow our in person-care. She is extremely knowledgeable and well-versed with the current literature, always citing studies and her years of experience to help provide the most well-rounded, informative care. She takes the time to hear all of my concerns at any visit, and thoroughly explains and answers my questions thoughtfully. I trust her more than I trust any doctor, and I feel privileged to have her as our pediatrician! read more

Dr. Diamond is our pediatrician and we absolutely LOVE her! We've been with her for 5 years now and are about to have our third baby in her care. She is always so patient, takes her time to answer any and all questions and is extremely respectful and sensitive to my wishes. She has on several occasions reached out to me on her own to see how my kids are holding up from a cold or virus they had been experiencing throughout the week. We could not recommend her enough and know we are always in good hands with her. read more

Always greeting us with a smile, remembering my kids information when I forget and always listening to me. May 21st at 2 pm: The Front Desk assistant simply hangs up in my face. Twice. After I asked if there is a way to be seen at the place with a referral, since they are so close and in-network, without answering, she hung up. when I called back, thinking we got disconnected she simply hung up in my face. Glad my kids won't be coming in contact with this sad front desk creature))) read more

We chose this practice on accident. I picked a pediatrician based on her Yelp reviews in Santa Monica. She doesn't have privileges at CS where I was giving birth. Her fill in was from this practice. During the sad time we had to be hospitalized, I met three of the pediatricians from LaPeer. One I thought was a vile witch, since she was the messenger of bad news that we would have to be hospitalized for an additional 5 days to ensure that my newborn did not have an infection (he did not). I HATED her. I have since spoken to her on the phone and seen her twice in person. She is lovely... When I haven't just labored for 20 hours, had zero sleep, hormonal craziness, scared for my baby, and she isn't telling me we have to stay in the hospital for 5 more days than planned. This is a great practice. I love that they have separate well and sick entrances. All the doctors seem very friendly and caring. The nurses are easily accessible and call us worry wart moms back promptly. There are Saturday slots open for sick patients. They require vaccinations, but will work with an alternative schedule. Negatives: There is a yearly admin fee of $150/$250. They use disposable papers to cover the patient bed, but as with most children my son touches everything. I used a wet wipe to wipe the sides next to the disposable paper and it was filthy. It would be nice if they used a cleaning solution to wipe down the entire bed before putting the new disposable paper on it... like at the vets office. read more

What started out as a great choice about 10 years ago, has slowly become a less-than-satisfying experience for our family. The hardest pill to swallow is paying their mandatory annual fee. This is a "membership fee" which every family must pay on an annual basis - or they will refuse to accept your children as patients -- and runs approximately $200 or more depending upon how many children you have. The office uses the money to (paraphrasing) ensure they provide the best care for your family and offset reductions in insurance payments. The fee is easier to pay when you have little children - who catch every single bug they can -- and you need their "extra services" such as Saturday morning appointments and calls to the nurses for advice. As your children mature, those services are rarely needed, and when you do call for advice, the telephone service is not as helpful and you're frequently directed to make an appointment for everything. In fairness, we would agree the quality of their doctors and nurses is quite good, and they have a great bedside manner with children. The desk staff are polite and helpful. read more

I LOVE DR CROSBY!!!!!! We've been going to see Dr Crosby since my first son was born four and a half years ago. She is such a brilliant doctor. She has helped us in so many ways I can't even begin to explain. When my son had a severe medical incident, she went above and beyond what I could have ever imagined. Not only that, she is so loving with my kids. She is positive and supportive and funny and just the kind of person you want to be friends with! The staff at La Peer is incredible. The nurses are some of my favorite people. I love Lily and Leesa and now I'm forgetting everyones names but they are all so loving and happy!! I just really love this office. We LOVE La Peer Pediatrics! We became patients of Dr. Shurin's four years ago when our daughter was born; we moved our son over into her practice as well. She was AMAZING with him (he was 4 at the time), and incredible with our newborn as well. We can now honestly say that she feels like a family member, and she treats us like one. She is incredibly reachable, incredibly helpful, incredibly thorough and incredibly calm. The staff is wonderful also - Lesa is the best nurse ever, and all the doctors in the practice are excellent whenever they are on call. We truly could not love La Peer - or Dr Shurin - more! read more

Our children have been patients at La Peer Pediatrics for 16 years. We adore Dr Lauren Crosby, and have had fantastic care from all of the doctors at La Peer. The negative reviews seem to focus on the practice not accepting new patients, and the annual service fee charge. If you can get into the practice, and if you are not bothered by the service fee, this is an amazing practice. All our calls are answered promptly; if we leave a message, the call is rapidly returned. We can always get a same day appointment. They are open Saturday mornings as well. They fill out unending amounts of paperwork for schools, sports, and camps. We have had children hospitalized and in serious condition, and I've always been impressed and grateful for the nuanced and attentive care provided by La Peer Pediatrics. read more

I do not recall ever using YELP for a review before, so it should tell you something about the fact that I felt the need to write a review of La Peer and specifically Dr. Autumn Shurin. For 10 years their Doctors have treated our children with the finest care, love, generosity and consideration one could ever pray and hope for when handing our most precious commodities over for care and evaluation. They are constantly on call, available for any questions, and beyond thorough in their examinations and guidance. There simply isn't a place I feel safer and more grateful for in Los Angeles than this facility and these Doctors who are now like family. Dr. Shurin in particular is among the finest medical professionals I have ever known and my wife and I often joke that we wish she could be our Doctor as well. This an extremely knowledgeable, patient-first practice. The caliber of doctors is what matters most in a pediatrics office-- and each one of them is an exceptional physician and clinician. My three kids have been with Dr. Crosby since birth and we'll never go to any other practice. Over the years, we've seen all of the doctors at one time or another, and each one has been warm, highly skilled, and devoted to the highest level of care. The nurses make my kids smile every time, putting them at ease (esp during the dreaded vaccine times!) and the front office staff has always shown great patience during my kids' prolonged decisions on the right treasure chest toy. Bottom line, this is the kind of place you go to for top-level care and no b.s. read more

I recently transitioned to La Peer Pediatrics from another pediatrician where I was not getting the kind of care i felt sufficient. Soon after joining this group, my almost 2 year old daughter got sick with this seasons crazy and relentless flu followed by a bad bacterial infection. Needless to say, it'd been extremely scary and stressful. I have no words to describe how incredible Dr. Diamons and Dr. Weiner (who stepped in often for impromptu sick visits) made us feel as worried parents. The degree to which they listen to your concern, take it seriously, address it thoroughly, and then follow up and continuously check-in for updates... it's just unmatched. we feel so incredibly grateful and secure being in their hands and i cannot sing enough praise to them and their kind, thoughtful staff who even handle frantic calls with kindness and empathy. You should know how special you are and what a difference you make. . Thank you all for everything that you do for us as parents and the little people that are our entire world! read more

I wish every doctor's office was as warm, welcoming, knowledgeable, compassionate and accessible as La Peer Pediatrics. Our kids' primary physician is Dr. Crosby, and she's amazing: confident and calm, supportive and helpful. We never feel like reaching out is a burden, and she's also super collaborative -- not just in terms of making us feel like, when there are medical issues to address, we're making a plan together, but also in terms of referring us to other amazing specialists when we've needed more specific expertise. We've also had the extreme good fortune of getting to know other doctors in the office, including Dr. Shurin, who is fantastic. Dr. Shurin is such a patient listener, and just as importantly, once we've presented a problem, her insightful analysis always gets right to the heart of the issue and steers us in a productive direction to get the problem solved. I'm definitely getting an "I Love La Peer Pediatrics" bumper sticker as soon as they're available! read more

I have been taking my children to La Peer Pediatrics for 10 years, since my first child was born and I would highly recommend this office. All of the doctors, nurses, and staff are wonderful, kind, and extremely competent. My kids primary doctor is Dr. Autumn Shurin, who I wish could be MY doctor as well! Dr. Shurin is so smart, always takes her time, is gentle and compassionate, and really listens to both parents and kids. She went above and beyond when I was experiencing horrible postpartum depression and severe anxiety after the birth of my second child to put me in touch with people that could support and help me. I will be forever grateful. Over the years, whenever my kids have been sick and I have needed to call in either during or after business hours, the response has always been quick and relieving. There is a yearly office fee which has never bothered me since I have gotten such great help with issues outside of my appointment times and after hours. I live pretty far from La Peer and wouldn't dream of switching to a pediatrician any closer to me. Wonderful, wonderful office! read more

4 out of the 5 are stellar and the only reason that I do not adore the 5th is because when my kid was an infant 16 years ago I was told that I shouldn't have called in the middle of the night about an issue that freaked me out. That still makes me mad. I am sure that dr is amazing as well. I know that dr has patients who love and adore him/her. This practice is beyond fantastic and the value added fee is annoying but worth it when you send in your kids cheer forms the day the are due and you get them back 2 hours later! Or you call the dr to discuss an "Urgent" Matter and she calls you back in 20 minutes. They are truly special and are great with kids of all ages. My kids would get sick so often when they were young, break bones, you name it. They have seen and done it all. Do not hesitate to go to this pracitice. read more
