These guys are great. Our HOA is currently power washing all our exteriors and repainting all the brown ramadas and any brown trim. They told us me need to move ALL our plants, patio furniture and everything else inside. That was not possible, though I did as much as I could. The guys from Whitestone, lead by Supervisors Roland and Henry could see my anxiety and were very helpful in letting me know what needed to be moved and what they could work around. The did and excellent job of protecting anything I needed to leave outside, patio furniture, lots of large plants in pots, and some very fragile large art pieces that were too large to move inside. I am a resident of a large HOA and our board had Whitestone Painters bid on a full repaint of our community. They came out to a board meeting, did a presentation and we could tell based on the presentation that they were knowledgeable, experienced and were the right company to do our job. From the beginning of the project, communication from Whitestone with our HOA was excellent. They walked the project with the property manager and the board and answered all questions and addressed all concerns. During the course of the project there were very few issues and we were kept constantly informed of their schedule and progress. Notices were always provided to homeowners in a timely manner and they were very accommodating if changes needed to be made to their proposed schedule. At the conclusion of the project, we did a final walk with Whitestone and identified any areas needing touch-ups or anything else. They were completed right away and the final project looks amazing. We were given a send-off packet that included the colors and materials used on the buildings. The homeowners and board are extremely satisfied with the job Whitestone did. We have even been approached by a neighboring HOA inquiring about who did our project because it was so quickly done, the workers were professional and they are now looking at contacting Whitestone for their project. After giving them a excellent review for the painting of our house exterior, I have to say that we got quite the different reaction when we hired them to do interior painting. The 2 men they sent, were not even in the same league as the 3 men sent to do the exterior. There was a lot of wasted time, because of one of the men was constantly on the phone! Running outside to talk every time he received a call! One time I would say he was out there for a good 30 minutes. The other left painting while the other one was preoccupied, could not answer any questions because he spoke no English. He was sloppy, and left the bathroom toilet room looking like an inexperienced painter. He didn't cut in right where wall meets ceiling, therefore leaving spaces that weren't painted. I specifically told them in the beginning what brand of paint I wanted which was my option, and they took the color chips I had chosen, and had paint made up where they normally go! I was told from the beginning by Kat that the cabinets in vanity area would be painted and the doors taken to spray paint at there facility, and then brought back. Never happened, they just ended up painting them in place and I did not get the smooth look I wanted! We were as nice as we could be to the men, even buying them breakfast sandwiches, but they were not very friendly people. A shocking ordeal we didn't expect, since everything went so perfect on the exterior. I asked for the same workers but for reasons I don't know none of them were available. So take your pick of which one of the reviews I've presented and pray you pick the right one! read more

Amateurs. Improperly prepped the exterior of the house for painting which led to a cascade of failures. Little or no knowledge of cutting wood properly. Refused to sand the wood filler material which says it must be sanded on the instructions. Left behind a bungled mess. read more

Short Version: Beware!! Do not waste your time and money. Horrible workmanship! Worst paint job ever and they damaged other surfaces in my home. If zero stars were possible, that would be my rating. Either go with a better company or just do it yourself. Long version: First of all, I should have known better than to hire these guys when their bid was half the price of everyone else. However, I couldn't find any negative reviews at the time; so, I ended up using them to paint the interior walls and ceilings of my home in June/July of 2015. At the time we had numerous problems with poor quality work, including paint in our electrical outlets, crooked paint lines, missed areas, etc. When we politely complained to the foreman/manager (who never even came to see the work), we were told to take it up with the site crew. However, as problems continued we even had to reach out to the office manager/scheduler to try to get help. We actually gave up on getting most of the issues remedied for fear of additional damage to our home. Over a year has passed, and we are just now finishing up our remodel projects, including repainting many areas. When all was said and done, we found: - multiple paint drips and smears on our brand new tile floors in EVERY room, on shower doors, countertops, bathroom mirrors and even our kitchen cabinets - paint drips or brushmarks/smears on almost every single doorjam and door in our home (all surfaces we weren't intending to paint) - areas in nearly every room where the paint is so thin, the previous color shows through (I should note that to paint an approximately 10×10 room, they used less than a tenth of a gallon of paint!! So it's no wonder the paint is so thin.) - discoloration of the ceiling paint finish due to the primer used (you can see streaks and spots bleeding through) - paint in nearly every single electrical outlet, many of which had to/need to be replaced To top it all off, if we even try to clean the walls (like to dust the windowsills) with a damp cloth the paint peels or flakes off. So, when all is said and done, we paid nearly $3,000 and are having to repaint our entire home, including painting trim and doors that we never intended to paint, due to the shoddy workmanship of the painters. read more

We called this company to have the exterior of our home painted based on other reviewers on Yelp. Ernie Lara came to our home to conduct the estimate which appeared to be reasonable. Nelson and two other workers came our home to do the job. The were all very polite, cleaned up after themselves and they did terrific work. Alex Corado, son of Carlos Corado, the owner of Whitestone Industries came to give a quote to paint the eaves and trim to my house, and to paint my master suite, To say they left a bad taste in my mouth is an understatement. Alex was incompetent and always had the same answer, "i have to check with my superintendent or the job forman and i'll get back to you" had to stay on top of Alex and the workers they sent out EVERY STEP of the way. The workers they sent out, even the forman, didn't speak a word of english and i'm of latino descent. Their work was sloppy and unprofessional, it dragged on forever and the last straw was that they bid to sand, stain and re-varnish my solid oak front door, yes it was a little weathered but still in excellent condition. The duo they sent out, an older man and a young kid, ruined my front door. They sanded in the wrong direction, and left deep un-repairable scars in the door that i will now have to replace. I had to text Alex countless times, and then they sent out an English speaking "superintendent" and then i finally spoke with Chris and then Carlos, first they offered to "bondo and paint" my beautiful oak door, then they offered to replace it with a cheap metal one. Then when THEY agreed it could not be fixed, they asked me to send them pictures of other doors to replace the one they ruined. i sent them 18 screenshots of acceptable solid wood doors, where to buy them and the prices. They finally sent me a due bill and threatened with a lien against my home. i had to settle for an unsuitable reduction in the original bid. Carlos Corado himself tried to bully me with going to court and placing a lien against my home and i was ready to go to court, but my family all saw what a toll 2 1/2 months of dealing with this unprofessional company had taken a toll on my health. So i agreed to the ridiculous reduction in price to just be rid of Whitestone and move on. Now i'm stuck with replacing a door that in today's prices will be close to $2000. don't do business with these crooks. They send out workers who you have to stay on top of every step of the way. i had to point out flaws and areas they left unpainted on my iron security gates, my eaves, my other exterior doors and finally i'm going to have to purchase a new door because of them ruining a perfectly good solid wood door just due to the incompetence of Alex not staying on top of the workers they sent out and the workers themselves, who one admitted to me wasn't even of legal status in this country. These guys are crooks, do shoddy work then won't own up to the damage they've done to your home and to add insult to injury threaten to put a lien on your home just to get out of owning up to their screw ups. I work with the union of my employer, over 60, 000 employees and i'll use every tool at my disposal to inform them of this unscrupulous company. Stay clear. their accreditation means nothing because when they finally start your job, you can look forward to nothing but headaches, and excuses and then threats in the end. The whole management team, especially Chris and Carlos are the worst. They love playing hardball to get out of owning up to their shoddy work.
